More like you're just seething so incredibly hard that people like something you don't that you think if you repeat "No one likes it!" enough times then it will become true. It won't.
It looked great in theaters. I have never even thought about bothering to pirate it after it came out because I knew it would be shit on a small screen.
People were fooled by the paid marketing about people literally killing themselves because they couldn't live in the beautiful world of Pandora and you HAVE to watch it in the cinema because you'll never get to see the full immersion and beauty at home with a plasma tv and shitty speakers!!
Compare it to Marvel movies, where people go watch them in the cinema as quickly as possible because they're afraid of spoilers. Of course they'll get higher ticket sales than a movie where you won't lose out on anything if you wait and watch it at home.
>How does it feel to betray the white race for these blue tree Black folk
>You should not be here
>Sometimes your life boils down to one insane move
That’s about all i remember in terms of lines but I also remember wishing I could live there as a kid. The sound of the horns as the tree is burning. Neytiri screaming/crying after feeling betrayed. Neytiri cradling jake at the end. The feeling of the speech to rally the tribes - don’t remember what he actually said. Wishing I could attach ponytails to Neytiri. Fantasising about kissing, spreading those 7ft long blue legs and plowing her. Neytiri drinking from the leaf. The uv forest. The general feeling of sadness that it wasn’t real when I left the cinema.
All of that said, I don’t have feel much excitement for the sequel. Maybe if i watched in 3d through an ultra high resolution set of be goggles…. But otherwise, not feeling much excitement.
I’ll watch it regardless in imax and hope it’s good. Generally enjoy Cameron films.
>Avatar - The corniest movie ever made about the white man's need to lose his identity and assuage racial, political, sexual and historical guilt.

"Spare us your pity, alien. You gush about your connection with nature, your primal wisdom, but what has it brought you?"
"Where are your marvels of engineering? Your voyages of discovery? Your great insight into the nature of the universe? Even at our basest, when we dressed as you do, dwelt as you do, hunted as you do, lived as you do, we did more than merely survive. We built wonders. We made great journeys. We forged epics. You have not."
"You speak so proudly of the plugs dangling from your skulls, little realizing that they are but strings and you puppets. What little you have accomplished you attribute to the wisdom of your goddess, who is nothing but the voices of your dead echoing for all eternity. She moors you to the past, serving as a leash that keeps you as little better than apes, sad parodies of civilization that lack that special spark to become something more."
"We have come to your world in search of resources. Whether your actions drive us back or we take what we want and move on, the outcome is the same. We will depart from your wretched planet, leaving you behind. And in a thousand years, you will not have changed from this contact with another world. You will remain in your trees, hunting your prey, communing with your goddess, until your sun burns out and your world dies."
"And above your tomb, the stars will belong to us."
I'm blue, da boo dee da boo die
>This is it, what everything's been leading up to, it's the avatar
rocked my wiener off
How does it feel to betray your own race, but not because the movie, i use it all the time when i see an interracial couple
Wait was this actually in the movie lol
It felt like a meme
>no cultural impact!
>no memorable quotes or characters!
>no heckin' epic memes!
tired of these reddit takes
>I'm tired of people pointing out the gross deficiencies of this movie, so I'll call them reddit
More like you're just seething so incredibly hard that people like something you don't that you think if you repeat "No one likes it!" enough times then it will become true. It won't.
"I see you"
Cringiest shit line ever, don't pretend you all don't remember it.
>Hey sully how does it feel to betray your own race
Sully had no answer for this
"I see you".
Look at all that cheddar!
>you're like a baby, making noise, don't-know-what to do
I'm on it capi-tan
"My job is to keep you safe...I will fail."
This is a great line tbh senpai
Colonel Miles Quaritch has the best lines in the movie.
>you're not the only one with a gun, b***h!
>something something jujubees
How did this movie get so big? Looking back on it there was alot of cringe.
It was visually stunning.
NTA but it looks like a fricking ps2 game
Doesn't matter how much you seeth. It's a fact it made a billion dollars and audiences loved the visuals and 3D experience.
There was a time when ps2 games were considered visually stunning. There was nothing like Avatar when it came out. Fricking zoomers.
It looked great in theaters. I have never even thought about bothering to pirate it after it came out because I knew it would be shit on a small screen.

It was the ultimate shilled flick
No other company has ever been able to successfully duplicate this level of marketing
As far as I remember personally, a lot of people (including myself) were just blown away by the CGI and special effects
>Yeah that's right, I am the Avatar
>I see you
>Because this…this is our land
>Outstanding
>You should see your faces

this…this is our land
This line is hilarious considering the land literally isn't Jake's at all.
I think by saying that, he is expressing that he feels that he has become a part of the tribe and now identifies more as a na’vi than a human
I'm paraphrasing but "We're going to bomb them so hard it will imprint into their genetic memory"
>I can paint with all the colours of the wind!
>what am I supposed to do, dance with it?
>Long ago, the four nations lived in harmony. But everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked...
paraphrasing but
>hey sully, how does it feel to betray your race
kino, cameron always delivers
>Who's got my goddamn cigarette?!
>I, Jake Sully, must become a blue guy to save the other blue guys from the military guy.

>"i didn't sign up for this shit"
-woman who signed up for exactly this shit.
