Songs about superheroes

I'm fascinated by this phenomena
Like I just found out Iron Man was the name of Ghostface Killah's debut album (Another proof that he was already popular before the movies)

Any other examples? Of supes being popular in music before these movies really took off?

That's not proof of Iron Man being popular before the movies, its proof that Ghostface Killah is a comic geek.

It is. Here's a song about Judge Dredd from the 90s

    >(Another proof that he was already popular before the movies)
Honestly that's not really proof of much, Iron Man was always arguably one of the more well known Marvel characters sure, but his casual fame level still wasn't that high before the movies, he was nowhere near Spider-Man or X-Men fame, even before their own movies.

Anyway I'll post some shit, some are about blatantly and some are just nods or references

Second half of the song was inspired by The Punisher, pretty well known fact even though it's not a direct call out

    About Deathlok

Plays the Spider-Man theme at the 3:27 mark

    About Judge Dredd

This entire album is just a concept album about Spawn, but I'll just post one song

About Carnage, also was the theme for the Maximum Carnage video game, so might be a cheat

      >Grew up listening to Megadeth
      >Never fricking clicked that Psychotron was about Deathlok.

      Lets do this shit:

      Ego the Living Planet:

Clutch namecheck the MIB and some other fun stuff

They made this just for a Sega video game?
        It's fun

        SWING TIME
        SWININGING FOR JUSTICE

Ego The Living Planet is a very obscure cb character to make a song for but that's dope

        THOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRR
feel like he should have a lot more songs

Tribe One - The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe From A to Z:

        Wordburglar - Drawings with Words:

GOd I remember Adam WarRock. He was an account or something who wanted to make music instead, put out a couple of albums and then fricking vanished.

If you're just discovering him, have his absolultely tightest track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6snEuFd-5Vw

Also have this timepiece of a song about The Flash.

do you think he was inspired as a kid growing up near him

Anything from Czarface. They had a song on the Venom sequel but this one's about Punisher

      Marvel by Diabolic is great

i don't really listen to rap but like for comic book characters, it just really goes well together

the bombastic action and fast beatful energy i'm guessing

Love all the different panel shots

Tribe One is one of my favorite nerdcore artists. He's really nice guy to boot.

I also just discovered Wordburglar about two weeks ago and I've been enjoying their stuff, especially the Cobra Island album.

Not exactly what OP asked for, but here's a Spanish song about Robert Crumb:

    >It has been those comics, Crumb's comics
    >It has been those comics, Crumb's comics
    >My brain has entered the terminal phase by following
    >Mr. Natural's advice
Funnily enough, I bet Crumb would hate this song if he listened to it.

When the '80s shred metal band Racer X (named after the character from Speed Racer) reformed in the late '90s, they did an album called Superheroes where they adopted goofy secret identities. The album was originally meant to be called "The Adventures of the Racer X-Men" but was changed at the last minute for obvious reasons.
