I swear, they partnered with Microsoft for no other reason than knowing some of the hatred would go towards them and not Netflix. Microsoft has no real status in this story, it could've been Google's or Amazon's ad platform, it doesn't matter - its Netflix that is looking to squeeze more and more money from your pocket for lesser and lesser service.
Have you been living under a rock? They've been making a huge play to control streaming and service industry. They just spent $80 bil on several gam studios and are trying to monopolize Cloud
If they did that I really feel like it could be the final nail in the coffin. Either have ads or be a paid service. Both just feels like you are charging the customer twice at the same time but in different ways for the same product
>i never understood how releasing entire season at once was a good business plan. like why not stretch is at least 2 months so you get some extra money
People like to binge the TV series they watch.
Trying to watch a series over months is annoying, and makes keeping track of smaller plot points difficult.
If you release a whole series at once, a person can watch it in one day, or one episode a day for a week, or an episode every few days, depending on schedule.
Releasing only one episode per week, is basically the way broadcast TV worked, and it’s only hood for “building buzz” or for series whose episodes don't have a continuous plot line.
One episode a week is also a pretty good way to lose viewers.
it's not just bad for business it's an awful way to watch a show, it totally takes away the weekly discussion of a show so when something comes out you have to binge it instantly and it is shit.
They'd stop losing money if they stopped putting so much money into making offensive content that encourages people to cancel and move on to a service that won't constantly push shit down your throat.
i dont mind paying for hulu without ads –knowing their system has an ad tier is not a big deal.
but somehow i resent netflix for introducing an ad tier just because of the way they managed the PR around it
fricken circus over there
>have to pay for like 5 different streaming services to have acess to all content you might want and it keeps getting more and more fractured with no slow down in sight >have to pay for internet >ads starting to come back into the platforms
So what the frick was the whole "streaming revolution"/cutting the cord shit supposed to accomplish again?

OK? They're trying to compete with Google and Amazon, they're just doing the exact same thing on a smaller scale.
>Ok?
Not ok microshill, they're playing for control like they have with the software industry
So what would be the difference if Netflix had gone with Google's ad platform instead
>chuds paying for chudflix
Imagine being a dumb paychud when it’s available for free
>chud chud chud
dumbest b8 I've seen on this board today
>liberal Black person/troony loving israeliteflix
>somehow they're "chuds"
Make up your mind. Cringe bait, but have a tasty (You) you turbobawd.
>on most services you pay to remove the ads
>Black personflix will have them anyways
Lmao, imagine paying to watch stuff in the current years. *dabs*
It's a cheaper package that has ads moron. Original plan is still ad free
I got an even cheaper package: torrent... that's what I would say if I even watched israeliteflix at this point.
*dabs in adblock*
you fricking wish. They'll keep this plan for maybe 6 months and then slap ads on the base plan
If they did that I really feel like it could be the final nail in the coffin. Either have ads or be a paid service. Both just feels like you are charging the customer twice at the same time but in different ways for the same product
Is it really the original plan if it is triple the price?
Then what are you paying for at that point?
I hear some people still watch ads on yt
Hulu has been doing this shit forever. Amazon video does it on certain things.
Then they wonder why piracy numbers go way up.
Surely more shows about Black folk and trannies will remedy this?
>being on a subscription service to begin with
ngmi brother
>paying to watch ads
>charge people twice as much as other services
>make less content
>still resort to ads
wtf are they doing
remember that they're STILL in red numbers and somehow for them it's a good thing
Next step is to add user generated content. Become youtube competitor.
>save me microchads
>create Netflix so you can watch shows in one sitting without ads
>stop releasing entire seasons in one go
>add ads

well from my experience if you "binge" a show you won't remember anything about it and nobody will mention it again after the month it was released
At first it was because people wanted the season dumps and they liked it. Now that they're broke any thought about their customers is gone.

if they are adding ads it should be free. Like Crunchyroll
