>never seen it for whatever reason
>always see Cinemaphile sperging how great it is
>check season 1
>long winded monologues sprinkled with fancy words that make no sense
>everyone speaking in low gruff voices to make it dramatic
>Christianity is le bad
It was awful. The acting was good, but the whole show being anti-Christian propaganda really killed it for me.
what a brave take
cringe
not an argument
i am not arguing with you i am making fun of you
so you concede you are wrong, ok then
It was pro-christian…
LOOOOOOOOOOL
>ministers bad
>preachers bad
>political officials with religious affiliation bad
>religious schools bad
>only if they are Christian though
So not a single mention of religion being bad just people.
You blindly trust religious institutions Anon? You think "the church" is "the religion" Anon? Haha not possible, right?
pedo detected
This reply is so nonsensical that all I can do is respond with a question mark:
?
you mad pedobros?
t. pedo
do i look mad?
Protestantism is actually a pile of shit and is really full of pedo shit, especially in the South.
>muh stickisraelite
seethe christcuck
muslim shit
>the whole show being anti-Christian propaganda
Didn't you watch the end? He implicitly becomes a Christian.
>the show is anti-Christian because Rust is
What an absolute brainlet take. Marty repeatedly calls Rust on his shit throughout the show, and neither of them are presented as being right or wrong.
It's not about what they think, it's about who the bad guy is and how the Christian institutions are presented, nagger.
>how the Christian institutions are presented
ok rabbi
actually it was good
Do people still dress that way?
And I mean specifically that type of tie, shirt, jacket, fabric and color
I am not Cinemaphile enough to know the names of the specific fabrics and textures, but I have seen some around. Mostly middle class blue collar workers.
>Mostly middle class blue collar workers.
if they are wearing a jacket and tie they are not blue collar.
>Do people still dress that way?
Yes. Whens the last time you left the house?
I am not American.
90% of business men don't wear ties, and the rest wear something monotonous.
They wouldn't wear Marty's tie or Rust's jacket (fabric wise)
Seems like midwest, middle-aged men kind of style.
>anti-religious christ-like figure
>religious man who cannot deny his vices
unironically low iq take to say it's propaganda for anything
8 years ago, I would have said this was bait, but considering this place has turned into right-wing reddit and all the dumb fucking zoomers that infest this place, I'm gonna bite:
If Rust is meant as anti christian propaganda, then by the same token, we can also cite books like "Silence" and "Brothers Karamazov" as the same. Both books were written by extremely devout christians, yet it makes excellent arguments against Christianity and they show the fallibilities of faith. Both books instill doubt in the reader with regards to the goodness or the existence of God. I don't know if the show creator is religious or not, but Rust's nihilism is clearly not portrayed as good. It's only towards the end that he finds some hope and meaning when he can feel the love and warmth of his lost family that he regains the love of life, and he learns that life after all does have merit and meaning. The end quote about light being stronger than dark goes to show this.
Also, you're either a homosexual for not understanding the ending, or you're a zoomer with deep fried dopamine receptors.
No, you don't have to be a fan of True Detective. Season 1 is good, but there are better shows, but saying that the "anti-Christian" propaganda killed it for you is perhaps the dumbest thing I've read outside Twitter. I mean holy shit. Lurk more. Stupid homosexual
You seem like you have good taste, please spoonfeed me the shows that are better, because I think True Detective s1 is peak
>Also, you're either a homosexual for not understanding the ending
do tell, pretentious homosexual
In addition to not being able to pay attention to what you are watching, you're also having problems with reading. I think you should try and detox yourself of technology. Put away your phone and take a walk in the woods or something.. I've highlighted my point in pic related to make it easier for you zoom-zoom.
i was here to watch it live and the threads we had throughout the week were some of the best shit Cinemaphile ever had
the show isn't that good, i agree
Most accurate depiction of an American christcuck ever put on a screen.
>>long winded monologues sprinkled with fancy words that make no sense
speaking in low gruff voices to make it dramatic
is le bad
They made Marty for this reason brainlet
everybody talks about season one.. nihilism and the bayou, blah blah blah.. but for me, it's Ray Velcoro
Me? I'm more of a Vince-man
based, yea Vince was good in this too. check out Brawl in Cell Block 99 if you haven't, he has a similar vibe, and well all 3 of the directors movies are great
I don't care what anyone says, gaycop was operator as fuck
s1 is for dimwits
s2 is for intellectuals
s3 is for naggers
Le Christian larpers on this site are unironically more annnoying than trannies
They’re pretty similar; dysgenic zealots having a meltdown if someone points out reality.
Ironically, these problems could be solved if they just got off the internet and went to church.
Why bother with the preamble? We all know that last part is what got you mad.
>Christianity is le bad
imagine missing the point this hard
>still waiting for cthllhu to show up
>final scene is literally the main character embracing god in a near-death moment and saying that it gives him meaning for the first time in his life
I don't think I've ever seen an OP miss the point of a show this hard before. I'm surprised you could breathe and type at the same time.
God was not mentioned in the final scene. Are you retarded?
>God was not mentioned in the final scene
This statement would indicate that you are in fact retarded.
Quote the line or concede
that sucks that you have shit contrarian taste
>Filtered: the post
>Quote the line or concede
I accept your concession. God wasn't mentioned, glad we cleared it up.
I don't give a shit about anit-christian because all christians should be put to the torch but this show really does suck ass.
>I didn't like a critically acclaimed and commerically successful series enjoyed by nearly everyone
Wow dude, you're so cool and unique and badass. Maybe we could hang out sometime? I could do your laundry?
>I accept your concession. God wasn't mentioned, glad we cleared it up.
imagine unironically being protestant
especially some sort of new age burger
"evangelical" heathen
