New animated heist series by Genndy announced for Adult Swim

Sony should have dropped that target audience, they were doing CGi Starship Troopers movies for adults for crying out loud, they went straight to DVD/BD, surely it was passion project they expected no real return.

I'm generally a fan of Genndy but I didn't like Unicorn, and it seems like the popular consensus is with me. It's sort of surprising that they let him make another show after that, but honestly I'm glad.
Since this is a comedy it shouldn't have the problems that Unicorn did with messy plotting.
Really looking forward to the musical element, I love animation that syncs up with music.

Turning primal into an anthology bothers me a lot. It feels like using the name of something people like to bait and switch it into something completely different. Some anons think it’s unreasonable to want more of the original premise people watched it for, for some reason
Anthologies can either be really really good or really really bad. Its a crapshoot.
Not even the potential quality, my issue is the bait and switch, instead of creating some sort of new anthology series it feels like he’s just using the name to get people to watch it. And then anons will get pissy at anyone who questions it or wants more of the original concept they were sold on.

Fine I guess but I really feel like he's just pumping out too many ideas. Unicorn felt like nothing despite it being his big passion project, and trying to turn Primal into a franchise feels a little like not being able to make up your mind and commit to one intention. 2 seasons following the main characters, and then it just turns into anything goes with anyone at any time?
He's ambitious which is a good thing these days, but his output lately has been nothing short of moronic.

1. The series sets up some really sincere emotional depth and interesting dynamics around the dad being dead, but at the end it's revealed the dad was never dead and it was predictable 4D chess.
2. They give the inheritance to some moronic sympathy character they meet along the way, who's really annoying and unlikeable but it's treated as the narratively proper choice. Genndy has really been pushing for b***hy leads like Mira, Emma, and Ashi. Some animal waifugay bait people won't shut the frick up about will join their team and she'll be given the money.

What does that mean?
A heist musical comedy with frog brothers sounds a bit odd. So does that part about using a nonlinear narrative. I suppose the concept of the series sounds different compared to an average show, but I still wonder if it's gonna end up being as aimless and confusing as UWE.

No dude Genndy's critically acclaimed then most animators from that era he created the biggest shows from that Network like Dexter's Laboratory and Samurai Jack, have helped with other big hits like the Powerpuff Girls, he's pretty much like their poster child, him and Craig built the studio/Network he will always get dibs on the original ideas

A brown, a black, and probably a blue? 3 brothers from different mothers?, hustling to rob and loot to find the dead father's one piece?. Probably a mix of comedic parodies of the anime Lupin and other shows he has done over the years. Unoriginal. Hey, remember that train wreck Unicorn something? Yeah, it was garbage. I wouldn't hold my breath. The only 2 good things Genndy did made was Samurai Jack and Primal. The rest is to their own.
