Yet another soulless production to give money to Gérard Depardieu and other washed out french celebs.
Nothing will ever come close to the animated kino that is The XII Tasks of Asterix
>Directors considered included Michel Hazanavicius and Franck Gastambide with a proposal to make a film based on Asterix in Corsica.
VGH WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN OCATARINETABELLATCHIXTCHIX

I didn't even looked at OP's pic, just assumed the fat c**t would be involved yet again.
>Guillaume Canet as Asterix >Gilles Lellouche as Obelix >Vincent Cassel as Julius Caesar >Marion Cotillard as Cleopatra >Linh-Dan Pham as the Empress of China[22]
what the frick kind of casting is that?
Depends what they want to do with the character. The problem is, he doesn't have Chabat's comedy skills nor Gottfried John's majesty.
Well, I guess he can't be worse than Delon anyway.
I've seen Cassel be pretty funny in that movie where he fricks his friend's daughter. not at all relatable to a Caesar performance, just saying he has comedic timing and can ham it up.
Like half of the words written in Asterix comic books is some kind of clever word play. I'm glad we got a good translation in Germany, though I obviously cannot say how well it measures up to the original.
What a downgrade from Monica

depardieu is not in this
I didn't even looked at OP's pic, just assumed the fat c**t would be involved yet again.
whats you problem with him? he is a good actor and was in some comfy movies. and his monte christo was very good too
I agree, but I can't ever have enough sexy Cleopatra.
This doesn't look like depardieu.

VGH WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN OCATARINETABELLATCHIXTCHIX
it's Gilles Lelouche
Not fat enough.
He got fatter these past few years. Don't worry.
>VGH WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN OCATARINETABELLATCHIXTCHIX
How long does it take for a chestnut to fall off a stool anyway?
Corsicans are too unfathomably based for those pseudofranc israelite rats to understand
A solid choice, but Asterix in Britain was pure and soulful banter
I never knew there were animated version, I only ever read the comics as a kid.
The first Astérix animated movie dates back to 1967.

Of fricking course. What an ass.
Christian Clavier as Asterix and Depardieu as Obelix were perfect
Holy frick the whole israelite clique is in this
well one of the two asterix creators was one anyway.
on the bright side Cassel as Caesar will be kino.
Depends what they want to do with the character. The problem is, he doesn't have Chabat's comedy skills nor Gottfried John's majesty.

>not Monica Bellucci as Cleopatra and a
Because Canet picket his walled wife instead.
He should have picked Vincent's wife for black Cleopatra.
10/10 cast
Well at least Depardieu now looks exactly like Obelix
still the best
too antisemitic for modern audiences
My father swears by Asterix and the Cauldron.
macron will never allow an adaptation
Ironically the entire book is a critique of Jacques Chirac and farmers unions.
Wasn't the guy in the comic like a 1 to one of the minister of finance during that time?
Was written when he was still the minister
I always thought the 32 one was kinda wacky in a good way
as a kid I never noticed how good the wordplay is
Like half of the words written in Asterix comic books is some kind of clever word play. I'm glad we got a good translation in Germany, though I obviously cannot say how well it measures up to the original.
???? It's just a bunch of unorganized letters in the word balloons
>character is called Teleferic (aka cable car)
>his life hangs by a thread
huh, nice
for it's how the germanix use gothic script
which one of you uploaded this video
>Marion Co tillage as Cleopatra
The frick? Do frogs run out of young actresses?
Her husband is directing. It's the only reason she was cast.
>Guillaume Can*t
Soulless as frick, anyway the last good one was Mission Cleopatre
shes ugly as frick
Alain, reviens faire un film s'il te plait
The French haven't been relevant since Alizee hit the wall.
How how are the new guys? Are they better than solo Uderzo?
Dunno, the latest issue has aliens, apparently
again? it already did in falling skies
My bad that was the one I meant, I thought it was more recent.
Between meh and mediocre.
There are a couple of good jokes per album.
What does roasted boar taste like bros?
excelent. go ahead and try it. its worth it and easy to cook with. pairs greatly with forest flavours like mushrooms
>not using mushrooms in an omelette
You're not a true gourmet
dont worry anon, there is enough of mushrooms in the forest for both
Fricking sublime
