    >more appearances than Newman.
Oh wow, visible in the background at Monk's and not saying a word. Integral to the show when you think about it. We should update it to Jerry, George, Elaine, Kramer and Ruthie.

Speaking of Monk's employees, what's the deal with this black guy who only appears in a few episodes and every time he scolds Jerry and George for some reason.

Might have been around the time people complained it was set in NYC but had so few black characters with speaking lines.

I think they mention in one of the commentaries that he often had more lines but because the shows ran long they nearly always cut that footage out.

In my most recent rewatch I've noticed it's fairly frequent for a minor/one-off black character to pop up and somehow make things worse for or at least scold the gang about something. Very amusing considering what happens to Kramer IRL.

Ok but why did Monks get taken over by that one dude with the big title daughters and then return to the old management?

I remember this exact frame from my first mushroom trip where we watched this episode. The colors of the cast’s shirts were so vibrant and when it cut to someone standing in front of the alley, my mind would imagine the background going on forever and spawning in the outlines of people to decorate it.

i vaguely remember an outtake happened during this scene and Jason Alexander acted all annoyed. Michael Richards was always said to be the big sourpuss and getting mad at people ruining takes, but I feel like Jason Alexander was almost as bad. He threatened to quit like four different times.

Nope, it's Daniel von Bargen who played his boss Kruger. The actual guy had a miserable last few years of his life. TMZ leaked a 911 call of his attempted suicide once but he survived for a few years after. He had a few limbs amputated before if I remember correctly.

He also threatened to leave because of that one early episode where Jerry and Elaine go to Florida to visit Jerry’s parents. Neither George or Kramer are in the episode and he demanded that he be in every episode. This pisses me off because they had to create storylines for all the characters for every episode. We missed out on some good shit because of this. I still say the Larry David movie “sour grapes” would have been huge if it was a Jerry and George movie.

He also originally almost quit when Julia was hired as Elaine and then when people weren't believing him that Susan's actress wasn't meshing with him well.

The circumcision episode originally went harder with the dude hating kids so much and taking enjoyment out of cutting them though, to be fair. Alexander wanted to tone that bit down

What a b***h. I know the big one that nearly made him quit was 'the pen' His quote was "If I don't feel like I'm vital to every single episode I'm out" or something like that. Diva move but I think it was the right one in that instance

If Jason Alexander never played George I doubt anyone would know who he was
            He should be grateful .
Because of the role he will be remembered for years to come
If he wants to act then he should just go into theatre
