>IT'S OVER
It ended here, when it was chosen to make Carol Danvers enter the big screen with a skinny character and a conservative costume, because Carol was too hot for the MCU, lol Here was ground zero of the woke agenda that ruined Star Wars, Pixar, MCU, comics books and games.
2022 box office
1) avatar 2
2) top gun 2
3) minions rise of gru
———LINE OF IRRELEVANCY———-
4) Black person panther
5)bore chud and blunder
6) dr cringe 2
I think it will. Shit most of the people who missed the first Avatar in theaters still haven't watched it because they want to experience it on IMAX. I think Avatar 1 gets another theatrical run and it hypes up 2 even more.
the fact that they are updating the special FX for the Avatar 1 re-release basically means I'm going to have to go see it for like the 9th time. for frick's sake.
I missed it in cinemas and ended up watching it on TV. Didn't think much of it, and watching the sequel trailer in cinema hasn't blown me away with the CGI either. Just looks like a game advert. Will I really be wowed by seeing it in cinema?
Doubt it if it keeps the slow pace of the original (which it hopefully does)
If it's really good I'm expecting ~900M. If it's as good a the first one it should make similar amounts. And if it's worse then it could crater
No because the first movie had the single worst batman script ever written with the worst adaptation of every character in it (yes the jim carrey riddler was better) and the second movie will double down on the dogshit. Matt reeves is a moronic soulless BLM wienersucker hack.
The fact that Dominion is making that much money despite Batman v Superman level reviews is so sad. If the series actually got a good director it would have been #1 of the year easily (unless we get AvaTOLD again)
Is black panther 2 coming out this year? It literally doesn't have a lead
It still baffles me that movie made 700 million dollars domestically, but I don't live in inner city detroit or baltimore so I don't know what theatres there are like.
I think it's even more interesting how Captain Marvel made 700,000,000 internationally.
I don't care if it doesn't make any sense I will always firmly believe that Disney buys tickets themselves. Europe is like the only place that would get giddy about a female-led superhero film and they aren't creating that 700 mil total, especially when it was 400 mil in the United States.
God, plz keep this up just a little more. I want Dark world to have more ratings than this. Imagine Marvels face.
It’s like hoping for your favourite team to win at finals 🙂
I love MCU stuff as much as anyone but Phase 4 has mostly sucked and there's no reason to pay to see stuff since it's out on torrents a month and a half after it's released in theaters.
this is ironically a winning concept
you got the literal fanboys who are primed to think that hot women in movies is sexism and you got the average female movie goer who is intimidated by alpha female energy who wouldnt go unless the women arent covered head to toe
They're women, mate. There's good ones, bad ones, in between. You don't need to justify your fetish for semi-oil drilling by playing tortilla masterrace games.
It must really be horrible because Rotten Tomatoes is pretty fricking lenient and will give a review that did 6/10 a “fresh”. The movie could be at 98 percent fresh and all the reviews say “it was ok”. I purposefully flawed system
You can be disappointed in something and still think it was good. I was super disappointed by Arrival because I wanted it to be 90 minutes of deciphering an alien language but it was just a 'good' drama
Went to the review of curiosity.
She says that the casting is good and the visuals are as decent as any other Marvel film (lol) then immediately goes to say that those positives are negated because Thor is portrayed as a bumbling moron, like he was in the movie before, and that the special effects were a mixed-bag. She says it's the weakest of the Thor movies (lol) yet gives it a positive score. The way she talks about it makes it seem like it would be 1-star, right?
IGN does this same thing where they probably watch the trailers and decide what the score is then and there, not budging. I really think there is some guidebook for critics to be as annoying possible.
Or they could just give it a fresh rating to keep their media access. I've seen critics shit on a movie wholeheartedly and still give it a fresh rating.
>>This is considered a positive review
RT regular manipulates reviews. Not everyone uses a numerical scoring system. Some use an alphabetical score system or something like that. If they think they can get away it, they will flag a review as fresh or not fresh depending on how they want the movie to be perceived. Just look at the Ghostbusters 2016 reviews to see what I'm talking about.
https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/ghostbusters_2016
the critics choose for themselves if their reviews count as fresh or not. they can write any review they want, give it any score, and still mark it fresh.
A 6/10 is above average you moronic moron nigtardpigtard Black person mods I'm black I can say Black person DO NOT BAN I will sue you if you do Black folk.
Taika is one of the worst directors in the world, Disney should rethink giving him Star Wars he already carries a huge legion of people who hate him he prefers to make movies to please Disney and never those who go to the cinema pay to see the movie

Jojo Rabbit is one of the worst pieces of shit I've seen nominated for best picture, which is a very strong statement since the last 10 years have produced a ton of trash oscarbait.
Kennedy hired him after Thor because he was the the new hot thing after 1 movie which is the b***h’s way of picking directors for films and it’s blown up in her face every time with having to fire them or the movie is panned.
>All Kennedy had to do was just keep giving Filoni money and leave him the frick alone. >Maybe set aside some movie releases for later stuff similar to darkness on umbara >Instead Kennedy has a woman moment and jacknifes the entire property into the ditch forever
It's incredible. They can't even fire her cause she's a woman either god bless them getting everything they deserve after killing Lucas' mutt baby.
They're panning it because it's bad, not because they falsely claim it's "the first Female Lead superhero movie". Until the latter becomes true, the tide is going nowhere.
>Thor: Love and Thunder is constructed as a delivery system for jokes above all else. Taika Waititi has become known for a particular brand of rambly, deadpan humor, where bumbling men contend with competent yet ostracized women, and scenes extend just a little longer than most people would let them run, inverting dramatic moments into laughter.
>In a normal, stand-alone blockbuster, the script’s dogged insistence on undermining every emotional beat with jokes, underserved characters, and a lack of sincere stakes would merely make it a passable, intermittently fun way to kill a couple hours. But cinematic universes don’t just add to the strengths of a film, they also amplify its shortcomings. As the next chapter in the story about a character who audiences have been getting to know for more than a decade, a film meant to present a new world of possibilities for what these movies can be, Thor: Love and Thunder isn’t just a misfire, it’s a scam. Its characters only move forward in the most artificial ways. Their status at the end of the film is no more intriguing than it was at the beginning. It’s the worst thing a film in this mode can be: inconsequential.
this is how i imagine the movie based on teh endless stream of youtube clips filled with quips and denigrating the men. even the villain is showing getting shit pushed in in the fricking trailers and random clips. i cant believe how many of these joke clips they posted with reddit tier humor over last week or two.
>Only a few superhero franchises have made it to a fourth movie, and you can usually sum up how bad they are in less than a sentence each: George Clooney’s bat-nipples in “Batman and Robin” (1997), Nuclear Man fighting Superman on the moon in “Superman IV: The Quest for Peace” (1987).
>It brings me no pleasure to report “Thor: Love and Thunder” is worse. I wished I was actually watching “Batman and Robin” or “Superman IV,” because for all their camp, those movies felt less pointless and more human than “Thor 4,” a cheap corporate commercial for upcoming Marvel content.
>“Thor 4” feels like a Disney experiment in just how bad Marvel movies can get before someone points out the emperor has no clothes. It feels like a Marvel movie that secretly thinks you’re stupid for liking Marvel movies.
>“Thor 4” finds Thor at what seems like an epilogue of a devastatingly tragic story. He’s lost his father, mother, adopted brother, homeland, most of his people and his kingship. Iron Man is dead, Black Widow is dead, Captain America is old, the Hulk is no longer angry, but like the Marvel franchise, Thor never dies.
>So it’s yet another villain (Christian Bale), yet another crisis, yet more soupy CG minions with shadowy tentacles and spider legs, yet another barely 3-D planet with the cast (badly) greenscreened in. “Thor 4’s” effects would be embarrassing on TV 10 years ago, and they’re in every shot. The pacing is so speedy and sloppy, the movie feels like it was edited by an algorithm. Chris Hemsworth, who played the Norse god of thunder straight-faced for several movies before cracking a smile in “Ragnarok,” has now left behind any semblance of restraint or understanding of comedic timing.
>“Love and Thunder” is deeply cynical. It doesn’t pretend to enjoy doing this yet again. When Bale is corrupted by an evil god-killing sword in an alien Garden of Eden, it’s ho-hum (although Bale is OK). When Natalie Portman picks up Thor’s broken hammer Mjolnir and it transfers the god’s power to her, there’s no sense of wonder (and Portman’s not even pretending to enjoy this). Worse, Waititi’s babbling satirical screenplay makes it feel like he’s mocking you for believing another Thor movie could be good.
>“Thor 4” is the worst Marvel movie, because it’s not a movie — it’s content.
>“Love and Thunder” wraps itself up in progressive trappings, hoping that if you’re distracted by ribbons of representation — a woman getting Thor’s powers or multiple queer people existing — you won’t notice that it treats that woman as a plot device and those queer people as punchlines or, at best, window-dressing.
>“Thor 4” is a bad farce of itself. It has no stakes, and no deaths are permanent. It doesn’t even pretend for a moment that anyone — even if they get a lightning bolt through the heart, or everything but their face gets destroyed, or even if they literally die — is actually going to exit this franchise. That would mean no spinoff series. That would mean less content.
>And the worst part of it all is that unlike “Batman and Robin” and “Superman IV,” “Love and Thunder” will not be the end. When the words “THOR WILL RETURN” flash across the scene at the end of this installment, it feels like an ancient curse. You’re left to sit and contemplate how long before we stop pouring our cash on the altar of the corporate studio gods.

Taika Cohen is not an artist. He is a comedian that is symptomatic of everything wrong with our era -- irony, insincerity, irreverence, parody. He takes the Holocaust and turns it into a whimsical farce. He takes comic book films and turns them into self-referential cesspools of pop culture references and humor. A true artist confronts tragedy, adversity and futility. Taika Cohen shows these emotions and then winks to the audience to make them aware that he is producing media and entertainment, not art.

dang b***h buy a words book and learn some writing
I think the reviewer here is actually calling out the vapid virtue signalling in the movie, which has apparently reached such heights that even the normies are starting to be out off by it
>It feels like a Marvel movie that secretly thinks you’re stupid for liking Marvel movies.
When will writers stop falling for the trap of making your story have an ironic tone? Being self aware that you are writing trash doesn't make your story no longer trash.
The inherent deconstructionism of "It knows what it is," gave birth to and was to the '00s what "Turn your brain off" is to the '10s. People saw self-referential meta writing as refreshing after everyone took everything so seriously in the '90s, but it wore its welcome out and showed a refreshing temporary change is not a stable paradigm to shift to.
Holy shit I'm actually gonna go watch this now to shit on the mousetroony disnoids that show up excited for it. Gonna buy a ticket to top gun and sneak into thor instead just like my buddy and I did when we got drunk to watch rise of Skywalker and spent the whole screening being rude and obnoxious to the homosexuals that showed up wearing jedi robes

Can't wait for the next one
> It feels like a Marvel movie that secretly thinks you’re stupid for liking Marvel movies.
So unlike all other marvel movies, TLAT makes it seem like it’s doing this “secretly”
The storyline his character is from in the comics is supposedly quite good and very different from this film, so he may not have known he was joining a shitshow. Unless you mean doing capeshit period, in which case I can't help you there
>The storyline his character is from in the comics is supposedly quite good
No it isn't. It was written by the second worst writer Marvel has employed in the last decade. It's terrible.
Jason Aaron is one of the worst comic writers working these days. Most of this film is pulled from his Thor run, and while it seems Watitty made it worse it was still shit in the comics. Gorr, Jane Thor, her cancer, were all godawful comics written by that hack.
Actors with clout like Bale are given (or at least their agents are given) the script. No way the studio was able to rope him in with the synopsis of the comic his character was pulled from.
Maybe it was a Tom Cruise Mummy situation where in order to have the studio pursue a movie he wanted to be in (American Made) he had to headline in a stinker (Mummy)
Wish they would have just tried with Mummy. Wish people'd just stop seeing trash and back up the indie scene instead until well written scripts get the recognition they deserve
It’ll be hard to sell indie to Cinemaphile because the indie scene is even more dominated by queer/minority stories that are made out of earnestness, and not just to appease a market demographic like in mainstream Hollywood.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to say indie for indie's sake, frick the shitters. Just rewarding good scripts where they pop up even if it's two bros becoming more rather than just chasing high budget visuals. Since they can use those sales to remake it better but you can't pull a good script out of your ass as hollywood's decades of utter shit has proven. I'd like to believe that after roughly 30 years enough would manage to branch out genre wise so it'd be an acceptable growing pain.
There's something like 700 million english speaking homosexual chasers across the global market so they have the market funding wise for low budget script driven films they just need to actually put their wallet where their ideals are instead of feeding israelitesney then complaining about bad representation, characterization and shit all the time like fricking npcs.
If Taika had at least adapted the Gorr The God Butcher story properly, it could've been kino.
Gorr is a desperate annihilator of all Gods because they took everything from him, he came from a planet that was too cruel, yet through it all he kept his faith, even after losing his parents and his wife. But it was when he finally lost his son that the straw broke the camel's back and he went on a one man war against every God imaginable.
He even came close to killing Thor when he was a young god during the 9th century viking expantion.
His origin story is kino and Bale could've owned it had they given him the Thanos treatment.
Sadly, Taika had to cram his gf, Thessa Thompson and his self insert into the film.
He was always just ok, he made decently funny indie comedies in New Zealand, but suddenly exploded way too fast and started getting Oscar nominations and shit.
No wonder this moron's head began to inflate, Hollyisraelite once again forcing mediocre israeli directors down our throats and marketing them like they're the next Spielberg.
Worst part is, the story could have easily been adapted well. Gorr's a fitting villain that raises the stakes after Hela and introduces other gods to the MCU while establishing himself as a threat by taking out well-known Gods like Poseidon or Hades without needing an explanation for why the viewers should care about the guys he just murked. Hell, apart from Loki, Gorr's one of the few Thor villains that the general audience might know about with all those videos explaining his character and what makes him interesting only for the MCU to ruin him. Same thing happened to Taskmaster. I really hope we get to see some of the stuff that got cut.
Literally filtered by Bale's Gigabrain scheme.
He KNEW it would be shit. He wanted it to be shit. He knew by signing up, not only did he get some phat MouseBucks, he gave the movie a thin veneer of respectability to get people's (and critics) hopes up, before Taika Why HeeTeeKeee or what his name is delivered this stinking shit of a movie- hurting the capeshit Bale hates and raising up traditional kino.
Get on his level. check em
MCU could have been cool if each movie felt uniquely different and explored different aspects of the universe - like Daredevil delving into the gritty street level stuff. Instead everything is the same copy pasted comedy and it gets old real fast.
I hate the word but it accurately sums up where things are now. "Content" is the pussification of everything, turning it all into a meaningless grey mass. After saying how much I hated Book of Boba Fett, my coworker asked me "Aren't you excited for more Star Wars content though?" and it immediately clicked into place the way the average normie thinks. They really do not care if it is a good film, a good show, a good anything. All that matters is that it is there for them to consume. Audiences have lost their ability to discern and parse, to understand and reflect. So to feed them nothing but a steady diet of tasteless pablum is exactly what they want. "Content".
>sequel so naturally a lot of the predecessors is used again, namely actors >thus they demand way more money since they're now more pivotal and not at all fungible >CGI studios' demand is also waning so prices rise >WHAT THE FRICK IT'S THE SAME OR SLIGHTLY WORSE EVEN THOUGH IT COST MORE
mouthbreathers, all of you
Bitch. I will fight you b***h you b***h ass mother fricking b***h thinking you're smarter than me b***h I will fricking b***h your b***h ass up b***h you're b***h dead b***h tbich ass mother fricker b***h.
>just about every movie now is getting decently panned by critics and fans alike >regardless, movies are still doing well and there's still a majority who will always go see and enjoy them >the shows keep flopping, setting new records for lowest viewership
People are actually fricking waking up bros. I don't want to get anyone excited by people are starting to notice the dip in quality. It's almost happening.
I won't get excited until we start seeing consistent bombs and normies start asking why the frick they keep making such garbage and following a losing formula.
Someone ITT already posted why.
Thor Ragnarok is one of the ugliest looking pieces of shit I ever watched in a theater and it looked like it was filmed on a flip phone. Guardians 1 actually did the whacky space color palette well, and had a genuine sense of style in its setting. No surprise that this looks dogshit too, frick taika waititi.
they skimp out hard on the CGI because they know moron MCU simps will pay to see it anyways. This trend started being severely noticeable with the green screens and editing in Black Panther and got proceedingly worse from there. They did a good job with infinity war and endgame but the solo films are shitter tier CGI.
Marvel fricked up bad with Phase 4. Avengers Endgame concluded the storyline they were developing for a decade and the movie itself was incredibly banal for a grand finale since all it did was advertise upcoming Disney+ shows. Now Marvel has just been a cesspool of television shows and mediocre movies that have no solid direction since there's no continuous story arc between them. At this rate the MCU could very well die out within 2 years and just become a niche franchise for devoted fans instead of normies
>it's another Thor is a manchild loser who with the help of strong independent female character finds his true self
this character has literally gone back in character growth and since avengers 2 has been redoing the same beats again and again
His character was arguably more mature in the very first movie even with his super brash and aggressive attitude.
Remember that scene where he argued with his father before being banished? Remember how Thor never even had another character moment like that ever again in the sequels?
Avatar wasn't even good. It blew peoples minds because it looked like nothing else put to screen. Avatar 2 is going to look like more Avatar. Eventually, the visual appeal will wear off, and people will realize how meager the storytelling is.

I don't think it'll make as much as the original, but it'll still do well. Audiences are so used to CGI live-action now that it just won't have the drawing power.
Maybe I’m from another timeline but I don’t recall it being such a big deal when it came out but everyone acts like it was and apparently… it was?. But I don’t know a single person over 30 that has even seen avatar or anyone who even mentions it in conversation.
The thing with Avatar that I remember most is that it's massive success had a lot to do with the peak of 3d, the fact that it was a movie that had to be experienced in a premium format, which helped inflate its gross a lot. Also really big international gross because its an extremely simplistic story easily translated
Is that the same for the 40~50s crowd? Because I do remember the press leading up to that movie.
For better or worse, James Cameron hyped it up for years. I was finishing college when Avatar came out and that crazy bastard had already been saying his 3D movie was going to "change the industry forever" since I was in high school. It was particularly bad after Titanic's success, when everyone was holding their breath for Cameron's next project.
The thing is, Avatar DID have ground-breaking CGI, but the script was weak even for 90s Cameron. It's like an expensive dish with beautiful presentation that tastes like instant noodles. People just forgot about it.
I love MCU stuff as much as anyone but Phase 4 has mostly sucked and there's no reason to pay to see stuff since it's out on torrents a month and a half after it's released in theaters.
>le rotten tomatoes matters look at the bad film lmao >except when they give good ratings to the film I want to be bad because then it’s review bombing for cope
I hate to say it Cinemaphile but you guys might just see what you want to be seeing and it doesn’t matter what reality is
Conversely >le rotten tomatoes matters look at the good film lmao >except when they give bad ratings to the film I want to be good because then it's review bombing for cope
Yes, exactly. My exact point. Why be so hung up on a movie review site that no one here is capable of seeing objectively, and if there’s nothing to see objectively, my god it matters even less
It will still make an assload of money that everyone will watch but it will be a terrible film. Marvel is going through a similar thing George Lucas did in the 90s. They feel unstoppable, and they sort of are, due to the momentum of making success after success but the zits are starting to show due to hubris and victory
Leave it to the MCU to ruin one of the few pieces of modern marvel that's not complete shit and not pozzed at all. I guess it was doomed from the start, since Thor is a competent, smart and heroic character in the comics, which is what made the story work among other things, and he's a complete joke in the MCU. I bet that the black b***h is going to be the leader of Thor's team in the movie and the voice of reason and Hershlag will get all the action scenes while Thor will just be another comic relief side character in his own movie.
They ruined Guardians of the Galaxy, Ragnaröck, Planet Hulk, Ultron, Thanos, Thor since Thor 2, Taskmaster, Ronan, Kang, Blackbolt 2 times, Civil War, Secret Invasion, the Illuminati. They even took iconic speeches from Cap just to make it into a girl power moment.
Watching the MCU as comic book reader is just suffering.
>I bet that the black b***h is going to be the leader of Thor's team in the movie and the voice of reason and Hershlag will get all the action scenes while Thor will just be another comic relief side character in his own movie.
Yes, that's the Disney formula for Marvel and Star Wars, but only if the character is a white male of course.
The first two Thors were shitty boring movies. They sucked.
Ragnarok was much better
Disney realized 1+1=2 and decided to copy the format, that probably wasn't enough to save this flagging franchise though. Chris Hemsworth must be in his 50s now. It's fricking ogre.
Are you going to argue that Ragnarok was not better? Do you think the first 2 Thor movies were somehow good?
Or perhaps you will just hurl insults with ironic detachment. It does not matter.
I never saw Thor 2. Thor 1 was a passable story about Thor learning humility. Ragnarok looked terrible and forced comedy into every scene to the point of being cringeworthy. Those are my complaints.
LMAO, 99% of the Asgardians are dead and Thor spends the entire movie laughing like a goof, a badly caricatured Valkyrie, a Hulk who gains Banner's consciousness without any explanation of course for those who don't think Ragnarok is a masterpiece
Problem with this one is he was given complete creative control, he didn't write Ragnarok so he was reigned in a bit. That movie worked because it had a marvel script, and Taika's unique visual flair and sense of humour. But he's too much on his own, all his solo movies are really mediocre. This one is clearly just an ego trip for him.
>bad movie gets a high rt score >Cinemaphile: rt is a useless website >bad movie gets a low rt score >Cinemaphile: OHNONONONONONONONONONONO
rt threads should be banned on sight
At least for me my logic is > if the RT critic score is good the critics were paid off > if the RT critic score is bad the critics are still being paid but it's so godawful even The Mouse isn't trying to pretend it's good
Can't speak for all of Cinemaphile but I'm consistent.
disingenuous little thespian worms, you're never going to be relevant, you're never coming back into relevancy, all you can do is gossip like old women, and eat your own.
It's to the point where somebody posts some rotten tomato score to prove to me that some movie is bad or good and now I'm just "okay, whatever, this tells me nothing."
Rotten Tomatoes sucks. Stop using it. It's fricking useless.
>don’t listen to film critics!!! >except when they say a movie I don’t like sucks, then you should listen to them
Just don’t go see the movie and move on with your life, gay.
Just got out the cinema.
Really boring.
Somehow worse than Ragnarok.
Villain kills 1 god in the entire movie and it's at the very start. The rest of the movie he just monologues towards awful child actors.
Thor is the side character of his own movie.
His bogged as frick face was distracting.
Very few fight scenes and most were just ugly CGI messes (the shadow monsters looked terrible).
Bad.
IT'S OVER
>IT'S OVER
It ended here, when it was chosen to make Carol Danvers enter the big screen with a skinny character and a conservative costume, because Carol was too hot for the MCU, lol Here was ground zero of the woke agenda that ruined Star Wars, Pixar, MCU, comics books and games.
Lack of sexy women
human brain can't live without it
more bad reviews will come in this and the next mcu movies
It's happening, we're heading for Eternals now. Thor 2 which everyone b***hes about has 66, unless the tide suddenly swings it's ogre.
Thor 4
i agree with the 66 for thor 2. it was also the best thor movie
2022 box office
1) avatar 2
2) top gun 2
3) minions rise of gru
———LINE OF IRRELEVANCY———-
4) Black person panther
5)bore chud and blunder
6) dr cringe 2
7) The Boreman.
Avatar 2 will not beat Top Gun
I think it will. Shit most of the people who missed the first Avatar in theaters still haven't watched it because they want to experience it on IMAX. I think Avatar 1 gets another theatrical run and it hypes up 2 even more.
the fact that they are updating the special FX for the Avatar 1 re-release basically means I'm going to have to go see it for like the 9th time. for frick's sake.
I missed it in cinemas and ended up watching it on TV. Didn't think much of it, and watching the sequel trailer in cinema hasn't blown me away with the CGI either. Just looks like a game advert. Will I really be wowed by seeing it in cinema?
no
It's absolutely mind blowing in imax 3d. See it.
No. The complete CGI is no longer a novelty and the story is boring
If Avatar turns out to be overstuffed with woke shit in the trailers, then it's not beating Top Gun.
It won't be, it was filmed 8 years ago
I’ve never seen the movie but if they released it back to IMAX I would
They will and it will be worth it.
Avatar 2 will be shown in China.
it will probably also be a good movie like Top Gun, and even more escapist.
>and even more escapist.
The frick are you smoking, the first one was Fern Gully on steroids riding on James Cameron's egotistical wiener.
I bet it does a half billion in it's first week.
Avatar 2 will make 2 billion and nobody will talk about it after the first week it comes out
It should but it's not guaranteed.
I don’t think it will either. But I hope it does. God bless Tom Cruise and God bless James Cameron.
It will be the first movie I go to see in theaters since Infinity War
I fricking hate Avatar and any homosexual who likes it, but Avatar 2 will print more money than a movie has known.
>5)bore chud and blunder
Lost.
Imagine if Thor doesn't beat dr strange and batman
I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't beat Strange but losing to Batman would be bad news for Marvel.
Can Batman 2 make over a billion?
Doubt it if it keeps the slow pace of the original (which it hopefully does)
If it's really good I'm expecting ~900M. If it's as good a the first one it should make similar amounts. And if it's worse then it could crater
The Batman did better than Batman Begins. If they sufficiently hype The Batman II, it could do well
if it has Coringa and Roastie Queen it might
No because the first movie had the single worst batman script ever written with the worst adaptation of every character in it (yes the jim carrey riddler was better) and the second movie will double down on the dogshit. Matt reeves is a moronic soulless BLM wienersucker hack.
if Batman was 90 minutes maybe
3 hours is too much even if the film was good
That depends. Will there be adequate representation and a good, strong, liberal message?
spider-verse is going to do a billion too because kids are stupid
minions might end up bruising the cruise with worldwide totals
ironically liking minions is peak reddit
perhaps you should go back
i don’t like it, it’s still ok track to outgross all the years capeshit
nice quints
Black Panther 2 will outgross your gay little airplane movie
Outgross? Yeah, people will be puking in theaters
Minionmoms... We won
You're forgetting that the hack prince aborted another movie this year that might end up making a billion in spite of everything
only because audiences liked it. Maybe the audience score will be bad for Thor
The fact that Dominion is making that much money despite Batman v Superman level reviews is so sad. If the series actually got a good director it would have been #1 of the year easily (unless we get AvaTOLD again)
Will Dinochads EVER lose?
Yeah, they lost when the supposed "Spinochad" descended in JP3 and killed the genre for over a decade
absolute fricking based
>Not pictured: Xenia Onatopp's massive futa dick.
the flash starring ezra miller will blow avatar out of the water
Is black panther 2 coming out this year? It literally doesn't have a lead
It still baffles me that movie made 700 million dollars domestically, but I don't live in inner city detroit or baltimore so I don't know what theatres there are like.
I think it's even more interesting how Captain Marvel made 700,000,000 internationally.
I don't care if it doesn't make any sense I will always firmly believe that Disney buys tickets themselves. Europe is like the only place that would get giddy about a female-led superhero film and they aren't creating that 700 mil total, especially when it was 400 mil in the United States.
Wait, for real? Captain fricking Marvel made over a billion worldwide? Who is watching this shit?
That was one of the first big if you don't watch this you're a sexist pig movies.
It feels weird being disconnected from social media.
>bore chud and blunder
my sides
Wait how have they not delayed black panther 2 yet? They haven't even decided if they're replacing the dead guy or not
CGN
WHERE'S SONIC 2 YOU homosexual
I love sonic but it’s a mid budget sort of movie. It’s not going to contend with the highest grossers of the year
>all these woke movies at the top
fricking cringe.
Dr Strange 2 is way more interesting than Thor 4.
minions beat sanic 2?
Yes. Why is that a surprise? Minions is a billion dollar franchise
Lost City. I am forgotten.
Yep, I was right, it's over, Marvel is fricking dying
Where the frick is Feige? Has he taken his money and tapped out?
>Where the frick is Feige?
He's a fricking white male. He doesn't get to have a say.
If he was smart he would cash out now and leave like Lucas.
God, plz keep this up just a little more. I want Dark world to have more ratings than this. Imagine Marvels face.
It’s like hoping for your favourite team to win at finals 🙂
RIP
HAHAHA FRICK MARVEL
he can't keep getting away with it
I love MCU stuff as much as anyone but Phase 4 has mostly sucked and there's no reason to pay to see stuff since it's out on torrents a month and a half after it's released in theaters.
>and there's no reason to pay to see
Why pay to see MCU movies with a lot of gays, naked men and women wearing burkas?
this is ironically a winning concept
you got the literal fanboys who are primed to think that hot women in movies is sexism and you got the average female movie goer who is intimidated by alpha female energy who wouldnt go unless the women arent covered head to toe
mmmm Hayley
Selma Hayek is the reason I exclusively date latinas.
My condolences to your flip-flop budget.
I make north of $250k a year. Latinas are the best thing on God's green Earth
They're women, mate. There's good ones, bad ones, in between. You don't need to justify your fetish for semi-oil drilling by playing tortilla masterrace games.
How the frick do RT get away with this? I would purposefully not watch a movie if they took away the audience score. Frick rt
Why would there be an audience score when the movie hasn't seen a mass release yet?
it'll obviously get a higher audience score because normies have annointed Taika as their current god and will pretend they liked it.
>How the frick do RT get away with this?
They will lock the numbers normally they don't let Disney movies go below 54%.
THE MOUSE IS DEAD
>THE MOUSE IS DEAD
do you morons actually believe this?
It must really be horrible because Rotten Tomatoes is pretty fricking lenient and will give a review that did 6/10 a “fresh”. The movie could be at 98 percent fresh and all the reviews say “it was ok”. I purposefully flawed system
rotten score is just meme, its just show % of positive reviews
>3/5 is fresh
>2/5 is rotten
awful system
This tbh
>This is considered a positive review
Get woke go broke
At least he's a man of his word.
How did he mess with the comic lore? I don't read Thor.
The comic lore he's adapting is steamy donkey shit to begin with so it was always going to be bad.
>very poor choice of words
jews, not even once
I've seen critics shit on a movie wholeheartedly and still give it a fresh rating.
remember 6/10 is fresh
3.5/5 score isn't that bad unless your scoring system makes no sense
They should cast that b***h as the penguin, fricking hell that face
>>This is considered a positive review
RT regular manipulates reviews. Not everyone uses a numerical scoring system. Some use an alphabetical score system or something like that. If they think they can get away it, they will flag a review as fresh or not fresh depending on how they want the movie to be perceived. Just look at the Ghostbusters 2016 reviews to see what I'm talking about.
https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/ghostbusters_2016
She calls it disappointing and gives it a seven out of ten? Weird scale.
it's the mouse bonus points
They also don’t count sub 1 star reviews in the audience score.
They’re bent as frick
the critics choose for themselves if their reviews count as fresh or not. they can write any review they want, give it any score, and still mark it fresh.
Jojo Rabbit is one of the most misconceived, halfassed movies to ever win Best Screenplay.
now tell me who votes for best screenplay
Jojo Rabbit is one of the worst pieces of shit I've seen nominated for best picture, which is a very strong statement since the last 10 years have produced a ton of trash oscarbait.
The yids actually have a perfect word to describe shit like JoJo Rabbit- shmaltz.
>Maybe set aside some movie releases for later stuff similar to darkness on umbara
>Instead Kennedy has a woman moment and jacknifes the entire property into the ditch forever
It's incredible. They can't even fire her cause she's a woman either god bless them getting everything they deserve after killing Lucas' mutt baby.
Star Wars isn’t anything special, it’s already been shit for so long. They go perfect together.
>critics panning the first Female Lead superhero movie
seems like the tide is turning boys
They're panning it because it's bad, not because they falsely claim it's "the first Female Lead superhero movie". Until the latter becomes true, the tide is going nowhere.
and these are the shills critics
It’s the worst thing a film in this mode can be: inconsequential.
this is how i imagine the movie based on teh endless stream of youtube clips filled with quips and denigrating the men. even the villain is showing getting shit pushed in in the fricking trailers and random clips. i cant believe how many of these joke clips they posted with reddit tier humor over last week or two.
still too fricking high, if this was in any other franchise it would be in the 30s or 40s
>“THOR WILL RETURN” flash across the scene at the end of this installment, it feels like an ancient curse.

Link to the actual review? This was a great read.

Thanks bro.
>Worse, Waititi’s babbling satirical screenplay makes it feel like he’s mocking you for believing another Thor movie could be good.
mama mia!
This review is probably more inspired than any TW screenplay.
Finally someone told the truth about Taika
Taika needs to be exposed for the one note hack that he is.
Is he the new industry plant bigshot director that are getting pushed out into the masses even though their movies are ok-ish at best? it seems like these kinds of people tends to appear more often lately
>Ava DuVernay
>Chloe Zhao
>Now him
Taika Cohen is not an artist. Taika Cohen shows these emotions and then winks to the audience to make them aware that he is producing media and entertainment, not art.
>it’s not a movie — it’s content.
That describes the MCU as a whole
>It doesn’t pretend to enjoy doing this yet again
> (and Portman’s not even pretending to enjoy this)
dang b***h buy a words book and learn some writing
>a words book
You're trying to say "thesaurus". Don't lecture others while being a moron yourself.
>it treats that woman as a plot device and those queer people as punchlines or, at best, window-dressing.
So it's kino and the reviewers are hating it for not being pure PC
I think the reviewer here is actually calling out the vapid virtue signalling in the movie, which has apparently reached such heights that even the normies are starting to be out off by it
>>“Thor 4” is the worst Marvel movie, because it’s not a movie — it’s content.
>he pacing is so speedy and sloppy, the movie feels like it was edited by an algorithm.
LOL
ouch
>It's not on par with Batman and Robin
>it's worse
Thunderbros...
Holy shit I'm actually gonna go watch this now to shit on the mousetroony disnoids that show up excited for it. Gonna buy a ticket to top gun and sneak into thor instead just like my buddy and I did when we got drunk to watch rise of Skywalker and spent the whole screening being rude and obnoxious to the homosexuals that showed up wearing jedi robes
>feels like a Marvel movie that secretly thinks you’re stupid for liking Marvel movies.
That seems to be the case for years
holy based
>>Only a few superhero franchises have made it to a fourth movie, and you can usually sum up how bad they are in less than a sentence each: George Clooney’s bat-nipples in “Batman and Robin” (1997), Nuclear Man fighting Superman on the moon in “Superman IV: The Quest for Peace” (1987).
>>It brings me no pleasure to report “Thor: Love and Thunder” is worse
Can't wait for the next one
> It feels like a Marvel movie that secretly thinks you’re stupid for liking Marvel movies.
So unlike all other marvel movies, TLAT makes it seem like it’s doing this “secretly”
>Nuclear Man fighting Superman on the moon in “Superman IV: The Quest for Peace” (1987).
I know it wasn't but that sounds awesome
Schumacher films are peak capeshit, frick reviewers.
I lost respect for Bale for doing this
The storyline his character is from in the comics is supposedly quite good and very different from this film, so he may not have known he was joining a shitshow. Unless you mean doing capeshit period, in which case I can't help you there
>The storyline his character is from in the comics is supposedly quite good
No it isn't. It was written by the second worst writer Marvel has employed in the last decade. It's terrible.
You're the first comicsgay I've heard do anything but jerk it off. That could be more a product of the art than the writing though, hell if I know
Jason Aaron is one of the worst comic writers working these days.
No wonder this moron's head began to inflate, Hollyisraelite once again forcing mediocre israeli directors down our throats and marketing them like they're the next Spielberg.
wow, the way you say it, the story of the cap sounds like Kino, although Disney would never adapt something like that. Too bad
Aww thanks, bud. You should check it our, Gorr is the legitimate only good comic to come out recently and my all time fav Thor comic.
Which is why I despise this film for not properly adapting it at all and Taika for using it as some vehicle for his crappy sense of humour.
Ok
He only blew up because he made the last Hitler Bad
gorr and all modern marvel is absolute fricking trash. you are moronic.
same. feels like every straight white men is willing to humiliate himself for a few more million
Let the man buy a new truck
He's consistently being praised in reviews though, even some of the negative ones.
You kept your respect for bale when he did terminator 4 with fricking McG but lost respect for Thor 4?
Well we got his leaked rant from that, so at least he still delivered kino.
Still time for him to leak a rant and save this movie if he wants
Sounds like he got robbed anyway. He said at the premiere that so much good stuff was cut out and reviews say he doesn't have enough screentime.
He just needs money anon.
Get on his level. check em
My theory is that disney/fox would push him in awards for ford v. ferrari but in exchange he has to be in a mcu film.
I lost mine for him when he virtue signaled about how Hollywood would be so much better without white men writing anything.
MCU could have been cool if each movie felt uniquely different and explored different aspects of the universe - like Daredevil delving into the gritty street level stuff. Instead everything is the same copy pasted comedy and it gets old real fast.
DC tried that and it's shit.
>like Daredevil delving into the gritty street level stuff.
They did. Did you you not watch Hawkeye or Spiderman?
Do you know what the word gritty means?
"Content" is such a newspeak way to describe movies and shows. I hate it.
"Content".
Is anyone surprised?
MCU movies have turned into really long character reveal trailers
I look at this, and all I can see is that Sony patent that would make people yell McDonalds to keep playing their show.
How much of the budget went to the producer/director's new yacht?
some of the producer's new yacht's budget went towards the movie
Holy frick. There were multiple scenes in Ragnarok that already looked like dogshit.
>sequel so naturally a lot of the predecessors is used again, namely actors
>thus they demand way more money since they're now more pivotal and not at all fungible
>CGI studios' demand is also waning so prices rise
>WHAT THE FRICK IT'S THE SAME OR SLIGHTLY WORSE EVEN THOUGH IT COST MORE
mouthbreathers, all of you
Bitch. I will fight you b***h you b***h ass mother fricking b***h thinking you're smarter than me b***h I will fricking b***h your b***h ass up b***h you're b***h dead b***h tbich ass mother fricker b***h.
>fungible
>just about every movie now is getting decently panned by critics and fans alike
>regardless, movies are still doing well and there's still a majority who will always go see and enjoy them
>the shows keep flopping, setting new records for lowest viewership
People are actually fricking waking up bros. I don't want to get anyone excited by people are starting to notice the dip in quality. It's almost happening.
I won't get excited until we start seeing consistent bombs and normies start asking why the frick they keep making such garbage and following a losing formula.
Someone ITT already posted why.
I have been seeing normies irl talking about how Doctor Strange 2 was trash
mouth of mouth will kill this movie like the last pixar movie
Superhero fatigue is setting in. We're a few years away from the entire capeshit market collapsing, but you're already seeing cracks.
Where are all the disney conspiracy theory people that say sites like this are paid off to give bad movies good reviews? Sure are quiet.
Are you moronic? This movie should be in the 20s, 30s or 40s like at least half the marvel movies. It's being gifted a score in the 60s
there's one! love when they do this nonsense without seeing the movie!
As if the movie doesn't look like shit from it's trailers like every past marvel movie that has also looked like and been trash.
You know Disney owns RTs right?
60 is a God-sent (devil bought) review for this movie in a world with accurate cinema critique
Paul Allen winning again
I want to see an 80 year old Captain America trying to stop 9/11 from happening. That would be a great movie.
it's over, marvel is incapable of breaking a billion
heh
Too bad it flopped.
>it's another Thor is a manchild loser who with the help of strong independent female character finds his true self
this character has literally gone back in character growth and since avengers 2 has been redoing the same beats again and again
His character was arguably more mature in the very first movie even with his super brash and aggressive attitude.
Remember that scene where he argued with his father before being banished? Remember how Thor never even had another character moment like that ever again in the sequels?
Like that's going to stop it from making over $800 million.
Awww that's too bad.
I hope you guys are ready for actual KINO.
Avatar wasn't even good. It blew peoples minds because it looked like nothing else put to screen. Avatar 2 is going to look like more Avatar. Eventually, the visual appeal will wear off, and people will realize how meager the storytelling is.
>Avatar wasn't even good
wrong, it was good
story isn't everything
Save us Jim we are ready! (Although not worthy)
KYS
First avatar was a massive event heralding a new era in special effects. It was something new. Avatar 2 is not and will underperform. Screen cap this.
Because it's entirely forgettable. It left no impact on pop culture at all, asides from the wave of CGI and 3D that came afterwards.
Top Gun killed capeshit
Thor was never good, now maybe plebbit will stop going on about Ragnarok and Take a White Titty
I love MCU stuff as much as anyone but Phase 4 has mostly sucked and there's no reason to pay to see stuff since it's out on torrents a month and a half after it's released in theaters.
>I love MCU
Stopped reading there
>le rotten tomatoes matters look at the bad film lmao
>except when they give good ratings to the film I want to be bad because then it’s review bombing for cope
I hate to say it Cinemaphile but you guys might just see what you want to be seeing and it doesn’t matter what reality is
Conversely
>le rotten tomatoes matters look at the good film lmao
>except when they give bad ratings to the film I want to be good because then it's review bombing for cope
Yes, exactly. My exact point. Why be so hung up on a movie review site that no one here is capable of seeing objectively, and if there’s nothing to see objectively, my god it matters even less
Cycle of fanbases that use RT scores to shitpost each other, it's not that deep
It will still make an assload of money that everyone will watch but it will be a terrible film. Marvel is going through a similar thing George Lucas did in the 90s. They feel unstoppable, and they sort of are, due to the momentum of making success after success but the zits are starting to show due to hubris and victory
this gif sums up my feelings with eureka 7 sequels
>Phase 4 sucks ass and is universally hated
>Pretty much every director is a woman
lmaoing@u
>Civil War, Secret Invasion, the Illuminati
ok but these were all terrible in the comics as well
civil war had 1 or 2 good moments on it
>I bet that the black b***h is going to be the leader of Thor's team in the movie and the voice of reason and Hershlag will get all the action scenes while Thor will just be another comic relief side character in his own movie.
Yes, that's the Disney formula for Marvel and Star Wars, but only if the character is a white male of course.
Honestly an around 70% is exactly what I'd aspect from a movie whose central premise is "thor's ex girlfriend now has thor powers"
What happened? Not enough diversity? Not enough quips? Not enough muslim culture? Not enough of Tessa Thompsons incredible acting ability?
Not enough shill money.
The first two Thors were shitty boring movies. They sucked.
Ragnarok was much better
Disney realized 1+1=2 and decided to copy the format, that probably wasn't enough to save this flagging franchise though. Chris Hemsworth must be in his 50s now. It's fricking ogre.
>Ragnarok was much better
How moronic are you?
Are you going to argue that Ragnarok was not better? Do you think the first 2 Thor movies were somehow good?
Or perhaps you will just hurl insults with ironic detachment. It does not matter.
other anon here, I do find Thor 1 and 2 better than Ragnarok
I never saw Thor 2. Thor 1 was a passable story about Thor learning humility. Ragnarok looked terrible and forced comedy into every scene to the point of being cringeworthy. Those are my complaints.
ragnarok was great go ahead and have a nice day
LMAO, 99% of the Asgardians are dead and Thor spends the entire movie laughing like a goof, a badly caricatured Valkyrie, a Hulk who gains Banner's consciousness without any explanation of course for those who don't think Ragnarok is a masterpiece
>Ragnarok was much better
He's not even 40.
STOP MAKING THREADS ON CAPESHIT REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU SAY
ALL PUBLICITY IS GOOD PUBLICITY FOR THESE FRICKS
Seethe and kys autist homosexual 🙂
When every character becomes a goofy quipmachine, do you really have different characters?
Not only does it ruin characters where that was never part of their personality, it dilutes and ruins the ones where it was.
Op is a homosexual who forgot he is on the internet and we can just search and call him out.
You realize new reviews come in over the course of hours, right. Are MCUgays actually this fricking stupid? Honestly.
You do know you drool over an outdated image go back to sniffing CNNs ass and hoping for failure as you are
I see you got BTFO twice today
>you realize ___ right
Annnnd the redditors are in t he thread.
Alternatively: you are an idiot who can't read the difference in the number of reviews.
The MCU is saved now!
thats just disney sending emergency payments out to critics
It will go up to 85 because it's a marvel movie, don't worry about it.
yet it did
With the adjusted disney score that's what, a 30%?
Leftist shill media would never go against Taco McTitty. He's one of thwirs
>bad movie gets a high rt score
>Cinemaphile: rt is a useless website
>bad movie gets a low rt score
>Cinemaphile: OHNONONONONONONONONONONO
rt threads should be banned on sight
At least for me my logic is
> if the RT critic score is good the critics were paid off
> if the RT critic score is bad the critics are still being paid but it's so godawful even The Mouse isn't trying to pretend it's good
Can't speak for all of Cinemaphile but I'm consistent.
If Tessa Thompson is in a movie, I don't watch it
SUCK IT WATIKI
It. is. over. Thank Christ.
>its real
what the frick happened? werent people praising it as "the gayest MCU movie ever"?
They're saying that in the hopes that more gheyz will see it.
A toast to the decline of the MCU
Did 'The Batman' get written before or after anon's spammed the "OH NO NO NO NO-" shit?
have a nice day newbie moron
my god, your meltdowns are going to be hilarious, I can't wait
it cant be worse than ragnarock
> m-muh heckin critic ratings.
disingenuous little thespian worms, you're never going to be relevant, you're never coming back into relevancy, all you can do is gossip like old women, and eat your own.
It's to the point where somebody posts some rotten tomato score to prove to me that some movie is bad or good and now I'm just "okay, whatever, this tells me nothing."
Rotten Tomatoes sucks. Stop using it. It's fricking useless.
They will just alter their own site and delete negative reviews so it reaches +80%. Saw it on a video by those nerdrotic people or whatever
top critics already rotten
Does Thor do cool stuff in it or is it just the Jane and Valkyrie show?
Is it true Hercules is in this and the black valkiery beats sky father Zeus?
>don’t listen to film critics!!!
>except when they say a movie I don’t like sucks, then you should listen to them
Just don’t go see the movie and move on with your life, gay.
contrarian losers: the thread
Ofc is shit. Who even expects something else from these soulless, by committee, woke capeshit dreck?
Normies are still slow to the party, anon. They've only just started realizing the MCU is shit halfway through Phase 4.
Bad.
Can you give me a rundown of the plot? Got some free tickets at my local cinema and I'm thinking about going to the premiere tomorrow
Seems like it's hovering around 70. I'd be surprised if it fell more now
It's awfully generous to call some of these reviews fresh
maybe taika cohen will learn his lesson and realize he's just another israelite in hollywood and not some quirky comedy messiah
Yikes
