No One Dies: The Animated Series

For a show that shows so much gore, no one fricking dies. Charcters will litteraly get their entire body obliterated, but because of vague, super advanced medical tech they just come back from the dead. The only deaths that were permenant were the Guadians of the Globe in the very first episode, that’s it. Seth Rogan’s self-insert character? Still alive. The three new guardians who were all baited to be dead at that military base? Still alive. Angstrom Levy, who’s skull was bashed in by Invincible? Nah he’s fine. The blood and gore has no impact because it doesn’t matter how fricked up someone is they can just be healed. Does this continue to happen further in the comics, baiting charcters dying but then coming back?

they wanna stretch this shit out for as long as possible. if they kill people off too early, they won’t have any characters for the later seasons. same thing with the boys, nobody important has died.

i'm fine with characters not dying. i don't even care about any of the side characters so their deaths wouldn't mean anything.

my problem is the constant wallowing and moaning that takes up half the fricking show at this point. i don't give a frick about some homosexual being sad that he's a robot so why are they including it? it's such poorly written slop.

The comic was much the same. There are a few more deaths near the end of the comic series though. Just remind yourself that you are still watching capeshit cartoons in the end and promptly have a nice day

season 2 felt like a waste of time where nothing happened. the most significant thing was finding out where omniman was. then he gets arrested. that was one episode. everything else was battles where things happen and get reverted later. the only difference in anyone's personality now is that they're all sad. but they're all roughly in the same position.

Finally watched the last editor of the season. Holy mother of boring. Nothing fricking happened. Everyone is still exactly where they started at the beginning of the season. It’s so fricking depressing. They waist so much god damn time on side stories of 3rd string characters and how they feel. I barely care about Marks feelings and you’re making me watch some one off character cry and moan about something that we didn’t even see happen. What a waste of time

shes hot but its gonna be so weird if they ever get to her scene in season 4 or a possible 5, she goes full 180 the next time she meets mark, just grabbing and kissing him. I wonder if they're gonna write in some extra build up or tension to set it up, they already took some show only liberties so maybe they'll pace it out instead of having her want to frick marks brain out all of a sudden

I dont know why they would spend so much time on this character and then spend zero time developing her

She doesn't even have a character other than being vaguely politically active, they just keep going back to the same relationship problems over and over rather than giving her anything to actually do

I read the comics forever ago, but don't Duplikate and Shrink Guy die?

      Anonymous

Duplikate survived via a clone like the show, but Shrink Ray did die to the Lizard League. I'm assuming the show kept her alive because they have fewer characters to work with since they don't have the license for many heroes that were in the original series and also since they gender swapper her and Kate is off the Guardians, the only other Female guardian would be Monster Girl that turns into the Hulk.

I could have sworn Duplikate dies in the comic and Immortal gets sad or something.

Go watch Walking Dead then if you want a show where everyone dies. What's the point of introducing any new characters when you know they're just gonna die anyways? There. Now you have the inverse.

Baiting characters dying and then reviving them isn’t me wanting everyone to die. They set the tone that there was going to be death in the first episode.

killing off good characters early on to replace them with a bunch of no name jobbers and red shirts that all end up dying without really any story behind who they are or why they are there was always stupid. There are a LOT of side characters in Invincible that all have their own smaller IPs which I'm betting are not licensed for television. Keeping the overall numbers down and the characters in tact seems like a win knowing that killing them all off actually did hurt the story. The problem is the show is way too fricking focused on forcefully inserting that do nothing Black person into the plot. Mark's blonde haired blue eyed White girlfriend is practically out of the story in the comics about 10 issues in and here we are at the end of S2 and HALF THE FRICKING SHOW has been about her and oh by the way she's a Black person mary sue.
