They're really afraid of using the "X-Men" title due to backlash so they're waiting it out to see their options. Maybe the tides will turn by then. They literally bought Fox for these movies. They can't frick this up.

They're afraid of using the X-men title because of that one cringe line JLaw insisted be included in Apocalypse, which was the second movie where the only acting she did was acting like a b***h because she thought she was too good to do capeshit.

Though you're right about delay being a good thing.

They be stupid if they did. 1. He's way too old. 2. It steps on Logan and 3. The thing that made him amazing as Wolverine (specifically abs and masculinity) are par now. They've got Hemsworth, they don't need Jackman.

What the need to do is find someone to do canon wolverine under the age of 30, 35 at the oldest.

It was Dark Phoenix that no one saw.
Because Apocalypse had the big gay, and also they went ham on destroying monuments a few weeks after Independence Day 2 made fun of monument destruction in movies.

Bad capeshit doesn't bomb. Sequels to bad capeshit bomb.

But you can't write women without men, X-Men sounds very inclusive. They're not men or women they're mutants.

It doesn't require an explanation any more than Firemen, or Mailmen.
It's called X-men or it's called a flop. The audience for "The Mutants" is a couple of dozen blue check marks on twitter.

As long as the guys are hot the girls in the audience won't care.

Hot girls too please. Bet let's cast a real actress for Mystique this time. Say hi to muh wife.

            Anonymous

I probably wouldn't even include Mystique, or if I did it would be as a minor villain, and I definitely wouldn't cast her because she looks way too much like JLaw.

The critical cast is Storm. She needs to be a tall black african princess, not an African-American with a wig. If they can get Storm and Wolverine right the rest should fall into place.

It's almost as if I was totally joking.

You think I want my wife working for dead end DC where careers go to die? Sorry sweaty. She's gonna be Sue Storm and Leo DiCaprio will be Doctor Doom and they will make love and you will like it.

Who cares, it's too late for the X-Men to really be part of a shared Marvel universe like they are in the comics considering the MCU is clearly in decline and all the main important stories are over. By 2026 it will have been almost 20 years since Iron Man, I doubt the MCU or capeshit will be culturally relevant by then.

  8. 2 years ago
    Anonymous

remember how when the MCU was starting the whole thing was how cool it was that all these characters were interacting with each other, but now it's like "well maybe the X-Men will show up but not until the Fantastic 4 and Avengers are dead, but they'll meet Wong!"

      Anonymous

Exactly, the X-Men will never interact with the classic characters of the MCU cause most of them are gone, there won't be any scenes of Captain America and Wolverine talking about their shared experiences with WW2 and their respective super soldier programs or anything like that. "MCU X-Men" is just a legal term, not something with story implications.

        >there won't be any scenes of Captain America and Wolverine talking about their shared experiences with WW2
Didn't know this was something i wanted. Didney would completely frick it up either way.

    >Fantastic 4, after four unsuccessful previous attempts to launch them
    >and the new Avengers, none of whom are as popular as the original team
    >coming in 4 years
So much for post-Endgame plans. People don't care for the multiverse nearly as much as Feige hoped

I honestly don't think it was Feige, I think it was Iger and his cabal of twitter addicts that didn't understand what Feige was bringing to the table.

      >People don't care for the multiverse nearly as much as Feige hoped
Feige didn't plan to still be doing marvel by now, he was expecting to get the star wars gig after endgame. That's why phase 4 has been so incohesive, he stopped micromanaging everything.

The comics have endured because no matter what they can always bring back the originals. The MCU will never be able to get those original actors back for anything more than cameos, so they're now stuck with Captain Racism Bad, Madame Fungus and the asian guy.

The whole X-Men allegory bullshit really falls apart when you think about it. The people who wringe their hands over "minority oppression" are also the ones who want gun control. Cyclops can blast a hole in a mountain in a couple seconds with his eyes, and he doesn't have full control over it. If you don't even want someone owning an AR-15, you would want the government cracking down on Cyclops immediately, putting him on a list or prison.
