We're certainly getting the wasteland if george miller lives long enough, but after the flop probably just not as a feature film. Maybe it'll be animeslop, george miller seems to have a lot of connections in japan
The original plan was a Furiosa anime (this was in production with Fury Road), a more max-centric feature film sequel called The Wasteland, and I think an Immortan Joe prequel anime as well.
It was then reordered (after Fury Road's success) to do the Furiosa prequel first, because Mad Max: Wasteland was going to be a sequel with a returning Tom Hardy that George Miller wanted to age a bit in a post-nuclear wasteland with a timeskip (at least that part was a success haha).
I hope they still go ahead with the sequel and blame this flop on covid + cgi + prequel but I doubt it, Georgie still wants more mad max content so I think he'll go back to the anime. And I know he likes Kojima and from interviews i've heard I think he spent some time working in japan or working with japanese manga guys on concept art so I think it's a medium he likes
>want to go see the first piggy babe as a kid with my grandparents >was like 5 or 6 >cinema won't met ne enter because I was too you go without parents permission >eat ice cream instead
Now I am almost 30 and I missed out on Babe when it was fresh
I find it weird how everyone keeps going on about Mad Max. Who gives a buttfricked homosexual if he's in the movie or not. It won't be Mel Gibson either so literally who cares
The problem is the movie is boring is frick, I don't care about Furiosa's story, there is no climax to the movie, it's last action is literally a montage
It's fury road but smaller scale, already been done recently, and with far less going for it
Just weird to see people go "WHERE MAX"
who cares
Yes because people caring about Mad Max being in the film and Mad Max being in the film are two entirely different concepts
Try not being a fricking moron next time
Yes?
If that guy Furiosa spent the movie with was named Max instead of whatever the frick his name was, you would have loved the movie? Seriously?
I don't think so
Yes?

It was enjoyable, frick it. Big explosions, fast chases, literally what happened in every mad max so far and what made them good. Best in the series? Frick no, but don't act as if mad max ever had anything going storywise
They should've put Alyla on the posters. The trailers make it seem like she's around like 5 minutes before the timeskip but it's more like half the movie.
It isn't her face though, its a CGI amalgam of their two faces. But she should still be given the prominence she deserves in promotional material, she's the title character for like half the runtime
Miller has a weird career.
If he wasn't basically a living legend of the industry, I'd say he's done.
But given that the Australian government would give him 100 Million for whatever shit he wants to do, I don't think Furiosa flopping slowed him down much.
Nah, Miller is done for. Fury Road barely made a profit, but Furiosa pretty much killed all the trust movie producers had to him and his Mad Max movies.
there are people on this board right now who unironically equate mad max with the post-apocalyptic subgenre, these are probably the same people who equate star wars with space opera and star trek with sci-fi.
I hope not
4 days
He's lucky to be alive at his age, let alone still making movies.
I asked for it and now I'm asking for Mad Max: The Wasteland next because I want more guzzolene kino
Anon I...

>george miller seems to have a lot of connections in japan
What makes you say this?
kojima has been non stop choking on george millers proverbial filmmaking penis since furiosa came out

>Fury Road's success
It was mediocrely received
Yeah Mad Max is just a niche franchise and will die a niche franchise.
>prequel
pls no
How old he is? 90+? Even Clint Eastwood was blacklisted
Cant wait for the contrarians next week when it comes to vod to download and watch it. Hypocrite incels
Where is the hypocrisy here..? Are you using words you don't understand again, anon?
At least he gave us kino before becoming mediocre.

>everyone already knows how prequels end
I hate all prequels forever. Tell a new story you fricking hacks
>Tom Hardy openly saying he doubts another movie in the series will be made
It's fricking over.
I doubt Miller cares. He just wanted the extra Fury Road lore to be made.
>I doubt Miller cares
The feeling's mutual.
>doesnt want to make it about Mad Max
>has Mad Max in it anyway
What the frick was his problem?
exploring the world beyond max
You mean hijacking the series but still using the MAd MAx name to justify the IP
Also what world beyond Max, lmao?
>t. completely unaware of the post-apoc subgenre
based moron. even 2077 had nomads which are based on what?
fug
Maddo Makkusu
Only good part was when the Warboy did a kamikaze on the Dementus hordes.
He's now riding the highways of Valhalla.
Also, Rictus likes dicky:
Wait, it's "Rictus"? I thought it was "Rectus". You know, to match his brother "Scrotus".
Would she have survived the BRD? (Big Rictus Dick)
Don't get me wrong, Anya is a beautiful woman but she was miscast for Furiosa.
Why not recast the same actress from Fury Road?

you cared enough to blogpost about it

>It's fury road but smaller scale,
if people truly loved FR beyond it being a meme they would welcome a retread
It's misleading if you use the title of someone else's story and not include them at all.
Then don't use the IP?
It was enjoyable, frick it. Big explosions, fast chases, literally what happened in every mad max so far and what made them good. Best in the series? Frick no, but don't act as if mad max ever had anything going storywise

>nobody asked for it
dumbest meme evar. doing stuff fans ask for is fricking fan service.
Chris Hemsworth is one of the worst A-list actors out there.
your personality is dlc
No he already jumped the shark with Fury Bore. not going to watch anythign based on that shit.
Give me a fourth movie starring old Mel or bye bye
it's ogre. there is no going back to the 80s.
I want Mel as Max again
