One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".

Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.

I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.

Has to be one of the worst replacements in history. Going from one of the most shows in television to piece of shit no one watched. This homosexual's hiring was one of the most moronic and israelited decisions I've ever seen.

    >Hey let's replace Lebowitz with some fricking homosexual halfrican with an accent that Americans have trouble deciphering... because nothing aids comedy like not being able to understand what the frick the comedian said...

The israeli c**ts who hired this homosexual are hilariously stupid.

Not that anon but let's say I don't care for Barbara Streisand and I occasionally banter with my friends about how she's annoying and sucks. I see a video called "10 times Barbara Streisand was just THE WORST (you won't believe number 7)". This video attempting to pander to me as part of the "Barbara Streisand disliker" demographic, and maybe I've even watched a couple similar videos for a chuckle, but this one is exaggerated clickbait that isn't very informative and has a bunch of ads between the paragraphs. It's possible that both the creators and I could crack jokes about Streisand over a couple beers, I mean I still think she's lame and all, but they chose to make a lazy crap product that contains 10% genuine content and 90% ads, with the hope that my desire to have my opinions validated is enough to suck me in.

tl;dr the people kinda agree with you and are on "your side" but clearly don't think much of you

How shitty a comedian do you have to be to have never once said anything in a thirty-second tv spot to elicit so much as a smile from a guy who loves to laugh?

tucker got so BTFO so hard that his show got pulled off the air and he has basically copied the daily show in response. he should honestly thank Jon for correcting his career and stopping him from wearing a fricking bowtie lmao

        Anonymous

Jon was the "cool guy", therefore "he won". That's just how the world works. And no, incel, there's nothing you can do about it.

        Anonymous

Just watched it, and I thought nobody won. Jon just called the hosts hacks and shat on the Bush administration, all while saying he's just a comedian to defend Tucker calling him a hypocrite.

Though, the fact that it led to modern Tucker means that Tucker seems to have won in the long term.

          Anonymous

If Tucker had won, he wouldn’t be doing Stewart’s schtick from the other extreme. Both he and Hannity now hide behind the shield of being entertainers. The problem is they’re doing it on a network that calls itself “Fox News,” not “Comedy Central.”

You see, social and political commentary is an almost inherent part of comedy, because comedians talk and comment on things. It’s almost their whole gig - talking about things that bother them, anger them, or confuse them, and finding a way to put a funny spin on it. News is supposed to be facts, well-vetted information, with opinions relegated to clearly labeled Op-Ed segments. When you blur that line, you’ve strayed into the realm of propaganda. This is true of any news network and applies to all of them with varying degrees of adherence to any pretense of ethics and journalistic integrity.

And take note - Comedy Central never claimed to be a news network.

            >If Tucker had won, he wouldn’t be doing Stewart’s schtick from the other extreme
As I said, Tucker didn't win the debate. He "won" in that he adapted very well because of it, and gained in the long run.

      Anonymous

This picture is perfect. Jon's little smirk at winning with his own logic on someone else's turf and Tucker's mouth hanging open as he realizes it's a chess board and not checkers. He obviously wised up after this.

My theory: The next host was always going to be black. No ifs ands or buts about it. TDS hired Michael Che as a correspondent briefly in one of Jon's last seasons, maybe second to last or the final one. He did really really well and then eventually SNL tapped him and he left. Now he's doing Weekend Update every week with the same skillset he used then.

He was supposed to be the new host but maybe didn't realize it yet. This way, the audience gets someone they've grown familiar with over his time as a correspondent, but still from a different demographic (without it being someone stale like Larry Wilmore). Jon's from Jersey but has lived in NYC most of his life, Che's from NYC. They are different men but from similar enough places that the show's identity wouldn't have changed too much. Instead, Che leaves, Viacom and TDS have to scramble but they can't back down from from the race swap in current year, it would be an internal disaster.

So they find this random with a CC Presents special under his belt and give him the show. What once was a half hour of an American comic from America talking to his fellow Americans about how ridiculous America can be, became a half hour of a foreigner talking down to them. No one wants to fricking watch that.

I guess they finally realized their propaganda doesn't work if their mouthpiece isn't funny and no one's watching. Stewart said a lot of shit I disagreed with and was often an butthole, but the guy can tell a fricking joke. This guy, even though I never liked him every time I saw him I'd find myself doing the confused dog expression and making excuses for why his delivery and punchlines were such utter shit. "Maybe it's just a cultural barrier? Maybe my ear just perceives it as awful because of his accent and cadence..?"

Colbert is an absolute miserable piece of shit and these days I can't even stand watching him, but there was a time when the man was really damned funny. Before he became so spiteful.

Trevor Noah was never funny and he had big boots to fill, which he didn't. He was insufferably far-left and woke, at least Jon Stewart occasionally skewered the Democrats and CNN.
I remember how Noah had a passionate monologue about Rayshard Brooks shooting. He shut up immediately when it became clear that the shooting was 100% justified.

i remeber in the 2000s when right wingers were the moral police and liberals were the cool kid in class i would wake up in the mornings to watch re runs of the jon stewart daily show and eat breakfast.

now im old, and liberals went full moron, and its obvious the show is just a showcase for neoliberal talking points. I of course never watched it when they put the nig in charge

How has Oliver not been fired? His ratings are half what Corden's were, and even for HBO Maher doubles him.

he gets lots of international online views and press coverage, plus his show is cheap.

2 million viewers. These numbers seem off for a country with a population the size of the US.

Add them up its 12-15 million at 11pm

do DS ratings matter in a world with online views? oliver's segments seem to do far better on israelitetube

probably because his bullshit gets glued to the frontpage, on top of being forced into people's recommendations even if you only watch cooking videos

            >YouTube is artificially inflating his numbers
            >>WELL NO ONE MADE YOU WATCH HIM!
Jon, shouldn't you be working on your next segment about how Trump personally sabotaged the nordstream pipes on Russia's behalf?

People shit on him but i genuinely can't think of anyone else at that point who had the humor and wit to take over his show. Jon Stewart was declining by that point and the fact his new show sucks shows he couldn't have it kept going

Steven Colbert is painfully unfunny as anything other then a conservative parody and less funny then Noah, Jimmy isn't funny at all and Oliver's show isn't the same type of show his was to begin with. There was no one to replace the guy that could have made anyone happy

It must have been the crowd of New Yorkers that filled his audience every week.
Seriously even for a town that large I can't imagine it wasn't the same audience members every week.

i often watched stewart. and colbert then. non united-staters, i liked how they called out people obviously doing deceitful shit in politics and explaining how the system works too, like the time they explained superPAC n shit. somehow that formula hit a wall... i guess it's when obama got elected, they couldn't quite bite as hard since they are libs but they did called a lot of shit they did, its not like they were 100% biased like pol-type tend to say. what happened, i guess people got disafrenchised of the democrat potential since obama didn't changed much of anything even for poor blacks... and its not possible to have an actual leftist big show like that, who are very critical of the system. i doubt this show will live much longer even with a new guy.

what happened was the 2016 election where they tried to make everything political so a show like this didnt matter anymore
people didnt want to watch a comedy news show because every news show became like that and even normies got fed up and stopped watching

Now who will host The Daily Show with Trevor Noah?

      Anonymous

Nobody. They’ll just film a half-hour of an empty chair, cutting away to clips without any setup or context, then cut back to silence, the empty chair, and a politely laughing audience.

They will call it “The Daily Show without Trevor Noah.”

Let me be clear, it's going to be Samantha Bee. In any case, there's absolutely zero fricking chance it's not a woman.

I'd love to see how much lower the viewership will get when a b***hy Canuck repeats party talking points

desu, I'd probably give the show at least a chance to grab my interest with the b***hy Canuck.
