I love vampires so much, bros. I'm glad Eggers is having his chance. This weekend I will play Blood & Wine. Maybe even rewatch Only Lovers Left Alive. On Christmas there's another VtMB playthrough scheduled. Life's good.
Nice choice; I hadn't heard of it until now. I'm not a vampire enthusiast, though I like the concept well enough, so I'll say Stoker's Dracula. A brilliant novel in a few ways!
More than a few from what I gather, but I am yet to read it. One of these days, though.
If you haven't watched yet, Only Lovers Left Alive is really good. It's about vampires in modernity that can barely sustain themselves because our blood is almost poison to them, so they have to get the good stuff from blood banks. Well, this and a bit more. It's really contained and a bit slow, but somewhat emotive.
cause it looks terrible. No name actresses ahhh im acting! There is no scare factor nosferatu vamp only looked creepy in salems lot. Bill skarsgard with his baby face is not going to produce scares.
I liked him in IT and Barbarian. Both movies failed to stick the landing but he played his parts well imo. Of course, Pennywise really should be played by someone older who can tap into their life experience to better channel ancient evil with a more primordial aura. Someone like Ciaran Hinds could kill that role.
Looks more in the style of a Dracula movie. But then I never watched the original Nosferatu, so maybe it was always like that.
Whatever, I love vampires so I'm cautiously optimistic and I'm gonna see this no matter what - most likely. pls Eggers, pls deliver unto us shadow and blood kino.
>Murnau's best known film is Nosferatu (1922), an adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula (1897), starring German stage actor Max Schreck as the vampire Count Orlok. The release would be the only one by Prana Film because the company declared itself bankrupt in order to avoid paying damages to Stoker's estate (acting for the author's widow, Florence Stoker) after the estate won a copyright infringement lawsuit.
The director couldn't get the rights to dracula so he made a movie about a israelite with sharp teeth.
as the other anon said, It was something like copyrights issue. however, I like to think that it's the same entity being called different names in different time periods / regions. like how satan is called shaytan in Arabia.
is this really what he looks like lmao
No he has hair in the trailer.
You tell me.
How will this be related to feminism and male fragility, and why is it your fault?

favorite vampire-based media/book?
Blindsight by Peter Watts. It mixes two things I love sci fi and vampires. What about you, anon?

Thanks, anon. I'll definitely check it out. Swinton and Hiddleston are fine actors.
For me it's Lighthouse >> Northman > Witch
A fine choice! It's probably been over a decade since I read it but I remember it being quite brutal and high-octane.
Black Mass
Is this a lil bit of trolling? I'm familiar with the term but the only movie titled Black Mass is with Depp playing a gangster, no?
Midnight Mass I mean
Nice, I'll add that to the watch list. Thanks anon
For me it's Salem's Lot (the book) and nothing else has even been close. But maybe I just haven't seen enough stuff.
What We do in the Shadows
and Jojo pt 2 (manga)
Bram Stoker's fun and I remember liking Ship of Shadows by Fritz Leiber but I'd have to read it again
>What We do in the Shadows
Agreed, but only the first two seasons.
nah. I bet he waa talking about the movie. the TV series is really bad compared to the movie.
>favorite vampire-based media
apart from what others have already mentioned, I really like the castlevania games and van helsing.
Who is Nosferatu?
Where's the leaked script?
It looks a shit ton better than The Northman at least. Depp is no Adjani but she seems like a good actress.
>filtered by Northman
Anon we must fix this
>Depp is no Adjani
Certainly true
I didn't dislike The Northman, it was just my least favorite of his so far with The Lighthouse being my favorite.
>Robert Eggers
>Bill Skarsgard
>William Dafoe
Damn, all its missing is Anya and Timothy and this would be the most Reddit film ever made.
>Shadow of a hand moving over the city
Kino
There's zero blacks or LGBT so this, like all Eggers' movies, a win.
So how much of the cast is going to be LGBT darkies?
Eggers doesn't cast non-whites.
times you acted like Nosferatu
cause it looks terrible. No name actresses ahhh im acting! There is no scare factor nosferatu vamp only looked creepy in salems lot. Bill skarsgard with his baby face is not going to produce scares.
>Bill skarsgard
Ah frick not him again.

>no blacks or browns
Based?
there were gypsies and one of them looked like the brown guy that played satan in the witch
>brown guy that played satan in the witch
but he isn't even shown iirc.
That scream at 1:08 is actually so fricking funny.
aaaaauuuuuauaaaaagh
It's like something out of Monty Python I can't handle it

Lad. Nosferatu IS Dracula.

Oh frick this shot sold me
A cart in front of a greenscreen with a UE5 landscape?
Yes. It's similar to what I've pictured in my mind's eye based on the novel
Is it? Any screenshot comparisons? The only thing that may be lacking is thick woods
this. 3 minutes of work in Unreal Engine 5. 10 min including rendering
Oh look, it's the same shot that's been in almost every Dracula movie ever made.
nta but I love exactly that, pass the popcorn lads
Ruin has come to our family...
You remember our venerable house. Opulent and imperial, GAZING proudly from it's stoic perch above the moor.
I can’t see shit dude
are Dracula, nosferatu and count orlok the same being?
Yes. The original Nosferatu had to change the names because the rights holder for Dracula went after them.
as the other anon said, It was something like copyrights issue. however, I like to think that it's the same entity being called different names in different time periods / regions. like how satan is called shaytan in Arabia.
No female nudity= woke trash
seems kino
