Not if but how to end the Simpsons in the finale ?

Why would be a satisfying series finale for The Simpsons without destroying the world they live in but showing at something permanent has change ? Madison ( I think it might be time that World War 2 veteran Grandpa finally moved on)

They have to figure out why time has stood still for them, and then fix it.

To this day I still think it'd be funnier if they had cut this scene and we only saw Ozzie Smith somehow in another dimension with no explanation.

End it with a world ending event, and right before the Simpsons die from some natural event like lava or boulders, immediately cut to the newest Family Guy episode

    i can't decipher this post

I'm basically saying what I think a good idea to end the Simpsons on would be Grandpa off in the season finale and have the family reaction to it

    The perfect Simpsons finale
    >the episode starts at Christmas 1989
    >time progresses over course of episode
    >we see how the simpsons interacted with history (9/11, Bart goes to military, etc)
    >all events relate to the theme of family
    >episode ends in current year with all characters at the age they’d be today
    >whole family comes together to watch tv and reminisce on their life
    >torch passed to next generation
    >leaves you with good and nostalgic feeling, not just for the Simpsons, but your own life because of how it’s a reflection of the average American family
    >the song from Mother Simpson plays during credits
You can debate all you want, but this is objectively the best possible finale

the show will probably end with a Lisa episode with her learning to believe in herself from a celebrity cameo or some garbage

Then a text passive aggressive text at the end

A time skip into the future. It's revealed that Homer and Marge died from cancer due to Homer's work at the nuclear power plant and it's various unsafe working conditions. Bart and Lisa were in their teens when their parents died and their guardianship went towards their aunts. Bart got his act together, became a lawyer that fight for worker rights and better working conditions, got married and had kids. Lisa is in federal prison for eco-terrorism and is awaiting her death sentence due to her intentionally causing a nuclear meltdown in an attempt to bring awareness to the danger of nuclear energy. Maggie is in a university studying nuclear physics/engineering.

I've always been partial to a cyclical ending, where the last shot is Homer coming home on Christmas Eve.

Grandpa dying would be punchy, but it's a bit too sad for a finale

I don't need something like he gets hit by a train I mean something along the lines up he does everything to leave know we class fuss and let's the family nose he went the good very long life. And seeing the family have good memories over previous episodes they had with Grandpa.

Have the cast meet Matt Groening. He tells them why they've been on the air for forty years, and they help him make the last episode.

    >Homer is fired again and needs a job
    >He gets an email from Hank Scorpio, inviting him to the Scorpian republic of the East Coast
    >After arriving, Hank finds out that Homer needs a job, so he asks him to help him out with something (if he succeeds, he'll pay Homer) Homer accepts
    >Turns out the something is taking over the United States
    >Thanks to Homer's stupidity Hank succeeds on taking over
    >It ends with the Simpsons ruling over Springfield as benevolentish dictators

    Or

    >Homer is fired again and needs a job, then he gets an email from the ruler of the Scorpian republic of the East Coast Hank Scorpio, inviting him and his family to his crazy wedding with -insert female celebrity or oneshot voiced by female celebrity here-
    >After arriving, Hank finds out that Homer has been looking for a job and he offers him one as a member of his cabinet, Homer accepts.
    >With the rest of the family's suggestions/help, he does his job well and makes the Scorpian republic of the East Coast a better place for all.
    >During Hank's wedding The United States army invades and the finale ends with a cliffhanger.
