    >Goku can destroy a planet
    >Superman can't destroy a planet

    It's not that complicated.

Master Roshi could blow up moons in the second arc. Think about how much stronger everyone is, even Yamcha and Krillin, compared to him by the time the Saiyans show up.

Roshi is still doing way better than them against Jiren. None of them have even reached Moon level yet.

No everyone is stronger than he was during the tournament arc, he also just got stronger off screen when he wasn't jerking off. All of them are moon tier crazily enough.

nah he was doing way better than them so he's stronger. He didn't do anything offscreen either like they did.

He did, it was stated outright that he did train off screen like everyone else. He was weaker than Tien in the Piccolo saga and now clearly isn't. Even if that's not true Roshi was clearly weaker than Kami and Raditz and Piccolo Jr in DB but by the time Nappa and Vegeta show up Tien and Yamcha and Krillin are all stronger than Raditz, Kami and Piccolo.

Outlier gag feat that doesn’t count. Before, Roshi destroying a mountain the peak of his powers and drained him entirely

That's not a gag that was how he wins the fight, everyone was gonna die otherwise. The moon was gone. Everyone thought he was gonna kill great ape Goku.

DC is at least aware of Dragon Ball and Toei even if they don’t interact, so if there was ever a sudden spike in interest for a DC and Dragon Ball movie it could happen someday.

Yeah, maybe Discovery buys Dragon Ball and we see them in the next Crisis thing.

Who’s the akira toriyama equivalent? We’ve had a decent amount of deaths recently in western comics, but most were either to old or to niche to count. Romita was the closest in death in scale and Giffen is the closest death generationally. Best I can come up with is McFarland

Also I’m kinda torn up, partially because I loved his work and partially because he was a year younger than my own father

George Lucas is the Cinemaphile equivalent of Toriyama, so the West still has him.

Now you’re making me sad that Fox didn’t task Lucasfilm with making the dragon ball adaptation

Jack Kirby. Comics are the senior medium that manga emulates.

Aren't the two guys who made Superman also dead though? I don't see why his view on this would carry any more weight than anyone else's.
