Abercrombie wouldn’t work, it’s too reliant on characters’ internal narratives and large chunks of the story are devoid of action. Not a bad thing, just not cinematic. Like the whole first book just wouldn’t work as a movie at all.

As for rape, there’s one character who is an ex-sex slave but we don’t get any details on that and then there’s a minor character who ends up being a forced bride to a barbarian but again that happens offscreen and the POV character doesn’t get any details, she just knows it happened. One of the latter books has women trading sex for the lives of their loved ones once the political purges begun but again that’s mentioned once and it’s happening outside the narrative
