Now That It’s Pretty Much Dead, What’s The Best Kino That Netflix Has Produced?

Nah, the Al Pacino section of the movie was great and Scorsese should've only concentrated on Jimmy Hoffa aka Pacino. His choice to bring back Joe Pesci worked quite well, but Bobby De Niro is a shell of his former self in more ways than one. Aside from becoming a balls out crazy Liberal, he's also lost his acting ability.

Its not that it was a vanity project, it was the fact that Scorcese required $170 million in budget to have old farts spout dialogue at one another in a movie that should have cost $50 million being generous.

I just hope that doesn’t affect the number of hilarious hannah gaysby specials, or more gays and dykes and various spectrum shitskins creating and starring in objectively bad productions so we can all be more tolerant and less raysiss and not despise disgusting LGBTQXY§‰ anymore.

    HOLLYWOOD IS DEAD!
I love how Hollywood is dying and the only movies making any money is capeshit. Hollywood tries to use the covid-19 excuse as to why non-capeshit movies were flopping, but now it has been two years since covid and Spiderman NWH made almost $2 billion without china.
The chinese box office is also breaking records and a movie almost made $1 billion there.
    NO ONE LIKES YOU HOLLYWOOD!
Can't wait for Killers Of The Flower Moon to flop and that homosexual fraud Scorsese to seethe at the MCU again.
This clown had to remake Infernal Affairs called it "The Departed" (without writing the screenplay LOL) to finally win an Oscar after riding Paul Schrader's jock.
HEY SCORSESE! Remake Infernal affairs 2 & 3 you homosexual!
Atleast finish the job of stealling other peoples movies instead of just stealing the first.
The Irishman was a colossal flop because it didn't win a single Oscar (LOL). Scorsese didn't even write the screenplay (LOL).

It's movies. The film industry has been cranking out cut-and-past action adventure flicks for a century. It's the backbone of the entire endeavor, what keeps the lights on in theaters so fart-sniffers like Scorcese can keep making his filmography of DeNiro from young actor to senile old turd.

Every streaming service is somehow underperforming, while they continue to shovel trash people don't want onto said service. Maybe when half the current services go bankrupt/merge with others someone will stop and think "maybe we should make something good".

They need something syndicated equivalent, I know it's dead and buried but something akin quality wise to good star trek: 26 episodes airing weekly, giving you constant engagement on at least one show.

Netflix is drastically cutting back in-house productions and it sounds like they can't afford to do woke vannity projects anymore. I can't imagine anything more vain than trying to remake Chronicles of Narnia full of woke rage bait.

Hell, they canceled frickin' Bone. I loved those books when I was a kid and an animated adaptation should have been a slam dunk, but Netflix can't afford it anymore. They definitely can't afford Narnia.

If Narnia gets made for Netflix, then be ready for some race swapping, regardless of the companies financial situation. The rewriting for dumbass zoomers to indoctrinate them comes first, before all. At the very least, we’ll see Liam Neeson’s Aslan replaced by Idris Elba or some other Black. People are gonna say based or whatever about his casting, but Netflix’s sole purpose would be to replace an iconic White actor part. Screencap this, you know I’m right.

Irishman is from the cusp of Netflix's falling apart, when they tried to buy an Oscar by indulging Scorcese's obsession with casting his fave actors FOREVER and required a capeshit budget to (badly) de-age them.
Streaming Wars made the most opulently expensive yet totally stupid ideas greenlight-able.

      Anonymous

The Irishman was great, but this scene is undeniably terribly executed.

        Anonymous

The SFX to de-age the actors is complete and utter fail. And apparently no one considered that broken down old shits MOVE like broken down old shits, and putting a CGI mask over their faces doesn't do a damn thing to change that.
Regardless, they tried to make DeNiro look 20 and got about as far as 50, and it was silly.

Didn't they build their brand on weird vanity projects? OITNB is based on an obscure book you'd find in Target. Stranger Things was a tribute to Amblin/80s adventure flicks. This along with the binging model was their bread and butter. They mistakenly thought that Daredevil's success was only because of the Marvel logo and not because it was just a great show. I also think big studios overvalued the stock and are now purposefully tanking it to see who will become the next king.

Olde HBO was a respected source of high budget, expertly produced shows for adults.
WB ruined it forever by mashing it with a ton of cheap garbage and Warners flicks and now it's just not very good anymore.
