I dont think he thinks its strange that Rorschach has fans, he probably just finds it weird that people think Rorschach is fully in the right in everything he does and not a violent psychopath who sometimes does good things but who mostly just gets off on beating the shit out of people worse than he is. He's consistently inconsistent with his beliefs when put up to any scrutiny. His death is treated as an act of defiance when it's due to his in ability to cope with the situation at hand.

Hey look. I fricking HATE Alan Moore. I think he's an overly emotional BITTER twat that, as petty as his hair is long, BUT Rorschach is supposed to be the crazy right-winger that Alan wrote him to be. Alan Moore wanted his Question that was all about Right politics and Alan Moore wanted to rake his version of the Question over the flames. The problem is Alan Moore is a smart dumbass who can't understand people and won't get that Rorschach was a Righty. They'll just see him being the only hero keeping it real. The only hero that wants to stop crimes all the time. The only Hero that wanted to tell the truth no matter what and Alen Moore was too fricking stupid to see that people gonna like that in a hero.
>and Alen Moore was too fricking stupid to see that people gonna like that in a hero.
I don't think that makes him stupid, I think that's just people in general being complex and stupid. It's fine to think that some people will see past the hypocrisy, favoritism, prejudice, piss and shit filing, random violence, lack of hygiene, and insanity when perfectly reading and understanding the character and still admire him because he chooses to be autistic about the brain squid mass murdering while being cool for nuking non-whites and killing pregnant non-white women. I'm sure he knew it was possible to misunderstand the character or be a genuinely fascist reader who sees Rorschach as ultimately useful to a pro-white position if he were real. The problem is his misunderstanding the popularity and audience, how that wasn't just a group of readers who had the reading comprehension required to conclude that Rorschach is bad. Reduced to the basics of the end of the series, it's just heroes complicit in mass murder vs a guy who wants to do the more basic right thing even if it means nuclear war.
"Telling the truth no matter what" and seeing him as a hero isn't a problem with his writing, his "surprise" regarding this perspective is one of his expectations of the size of his audience and who his audience would be comprised off.
Anon is thinking it's a race thing when it was very much an American thing. American Lives Matter, other lives don't. People call Rorschach a hypocrite because he supported nuking Japan to save American lives but was against the squid to save the world from potential nuclear annihilation, but all he cares about is America. He wouldn't have had an issue with the Squid if Ozy put it in Moscow instead.

Nowhere. You are talking to complete utter morons here with no sense of media literacy except when it suits them.
WW3 can't come soon enough. All the direction-brained, rabbi-loving burgers that pollute this planet will be cleansed.
He's cool with the Comedian even though he's as bad of a piece of shit as the other criminals he fights.
Woah, you're telling me Moore wrote a character that isn't 100% pure goody two shoes, in a comic about heroes with failings? Inconcievable!
How tf is that an argument about him being almost the main character in this story? Why do you all homosexuals believe Moore accidentally wrote a good character?
have a nice day.
I dont think they are random people. Rorschach targets people he can connect to crimes or criminals. And the ones we see are criminals.
This.
Moore wrote two Vigilante issues where the titular hero is depicted as an idiot that fails to protect his client and gets his own bike stolen in a particularly dangerous street. This was a year before Watchmen.
What was stopping Moore from writing Rorschach the same way? It was an OC, he could do pretty much whatever he wanted, even an Ennis-tier slapstick parody of The Question.

Indeed. Moore really writes them in-character. There is some saying that a creator sometimes cant controll their created characters. Because they have a characterisation and can only be written within their limits.

It's more like some writers have the idea that their characters act on their own. It's something I've mostly seen professed by amateurs, and I think it's them glamorizing their hobby. Because it's kind of a stupid sentiment. At best, it's the realization that a certain action wouldn't fit a character's established personality. But if you want it to happen hard enough you can actually go back and edit your previous writing to make it fit. So really it's just the author having a certain idea about how a character should be, which is fine, but then say something like "I planned for the plot to progress by this character doing something, but after writing him for so long that no longer fits my idea of what the character should be, so now I'm going to change the plot to make it work".

I dont think that this is some amateurish behaviour or excuse. It is just a poetic way to vernally formulate the problem with their characterisation.
And you are right with the power to change the story. But the problem is when you already published story material or to scan your writings to for parts you now need to change that.
I think Arthur C. Clarke did an interesting explaining with his 2001 books plotholes/changes. He said that all 4 books are the same story but set in a different reality.

that's called being a fricking hack and trash writer you fricking moron. characters DO take on a life of their own, if you create real characters with depth and are a good writer. the idea is to tell the story through them, through who the character is, not force the story and drag the character along with it.

I think this comes down to planning. If you design your plot to fit your character and vice versa, and you understand what makes your own writing tick, then you don't have to run into this. Writing more intuitively and haphazardly isn't bad necessarily but it's not the only way to do it. These things are knowable and learnable up to a point.

I dont know. I found this on the artists deviant site.
I guess because people dont make him the heroic character but the vigilante who is a human piece of shit? I mean we see Comedian killing a pregnant women, try to rape Silk Spectre 1 and we get the info he was involved with JFK murder and Watergate.
>and Alen Moore was too fricking stupid to see that people gonna like that in a hero.

I'm not reading any of this, we have a "democrat" weaponizing the judicial system so he wins an election after weaponizing intelligence agencies to defraud the first one. Rorschach ended up being proven correct, the only thing these people will ever respect is violence.
>target random people = bad >target fascist government = good
What's the problem here? Was this made by an autist who saw the issue as just hurting people vs hurting people with no other context or consideration?
Ok, fair pont, he thinks are connected. I agree that Moloch is overly brutal. But we can see how he really quickly senses that Moloch isnt deeply involved.
He asked for it. And he was a pervert. Do we know that he really died? And do we know Rorschach pushed him? What if he was hit in the face and than stumbled backwards into the elevator. I mean why was there an open elevator shaft? It sounds more like a story that isnt true.

You pervert! I dont like that you want jerk off to my post!
I know little about this guy, all know is he wrote crossed 100 and made the bizarre decision to have everyone speak in in future slang which made it impossible for me to read.
That's not what I was calling out. That all he knows Moore from is Crossed 100 is bullshit.
The language thing seems interesting, but it is unfortunately connect to Crossed, so I probably won't be reading it.
Moore keeps putting non-moron shit in moron books, which is how you get threads like this.
I did read it, and while there's a semi-intelligent setup most of his writing is shit. I actually like weird future slang, when it's well executed, but Moore's example in Crossed 100 is terrible. Not inscrutable, but just uncomfortable to read and unbelievable. As in, people say "brown" instead of "shit". Shit is an old, old word that's been in the English vernacular for a millennium. Later people from New York are introduced, and they speak in a comically exaggerated New York accent, which is actually kind of funny. But I think that's a different writer. He also inserts his free love fetishism, and left wing wet dream Muslims (free love, gay acceptance, basically identical to the main group except they pray sometimes). The main conceit is also kinda iffy.
>You know that literary character from a memorable and well put together work of fiction? I'm going to draw them being anally raped
Moore does absolutely nothing to dispel the popular theory that comic book creators are nothing but schlock jocks, subversive israelites and creatively-bankrupt simpletons.
Thats kinda my critic. A little bit a hypocritic from Moore, but he is one of the best re-mixer and knows how to spoonge things up and rearrange that.
His remixes are quite a bit different from the original sources. I think he goes beyond remixing, sampling, or even variations on a theme, if we're borrowing music terminology. He uses recognizable elements to make something entirely new.
The Moore hate at this point is kind of moronic. He’s a cave dwelling old man that everyone knows is bitter at the comic industry and his past work and yet people go and give him attention and ask him the same shit question then get mad when he gives his obvious answers.
Not is he living in your head rent free but this type of attention is what eventually lead him to have a masterclass and make profit from his shitty new books.
Comic fans have always been like this. Old school shops were full of such people, hence why all the steroetypes existed.
You mean 80% of human population. Look at democrats and republicans in the U.S.. They dont know how to argue or defend their positions. Most are “because i think so“ or “my group thinks this“. Thats why you get very odd situations when they defend unlogical things and scream at each other or what to cancel the other.
>Shows Alan Moore grinning at V >Moore's interviews on V on Vendetta talking about how V is an awful human being and the comic goes out of its way to show how V is a terrible person
Jesus, these people have no ability to read. Also, I fricking love Rorscarchgays. Literally 1000% delusional muppets who either only watched the movie or didn't understand the comic.
>Heavily implied to be a homosexual, bitter as frick that Nite Owl didn't stick around for him >For all his talks of absolute morality and never compromising, constantly compromises when it suits him, like giving Comedian a pass on raping/murdering people because he was Rorscarch's guy >For all his talk about fighting crime, he beats people up for no other reason than they laugh at him, wears lifts because he's a fricking pissy manlet >His capekiller theory was pure bullshit that Ozy actually uses to help obfuscate what he is doing >In one night, Nite Owl solves the mystery and if it wasn't for him, Rorscarch would've been stuck in jail and probably died.
It will never stop amusing me that Moore's most popular character, Rorschach, was meant to be a caricature of Steve Ditko's objectavist superhero Mr.A because Moore is a communist.
His wizard-feud with Grant Morrisson's funny too.
It's also amusing how he keeps flip-flopping on whether comics are fun or not. He did deconstructions, then wanted to make the medium lighthearted again, then condemned the idea of the superhero as innately white supremacist, then told people to just write for fun and personal empowerment...
It's like watching someone's manic and depressive periods through the years.
I remember watching an interview of him and he said when you take Batman to his core he is a psychopathic vigilante and that's he said was the starting point for Rorschach.
I dont think he is manic or depressive. But still a good observation and plausible valuation.
For me he creates stuff than sees how people react and being a contrarian dislikes it and does the contrary.
I'm glad you made this thread OP. Made all the dicksucking lickspittle crawl out from under their rocks and fellate him yet again, in the process revealing what pretentious morons they are as they simp for a talentless, uncreative, drug-addled communist hippie.

What are you even talking about? You ramble like a IS-terrorist.
lmao this shit hands is now in 4chins after being called moron all thread long, just to be called a moron to his face.
the guy in your pic killed a cop so that's one positive.
You gays would kneel for St. Fentanyl.
They hate you because you tell the truth
>Claims to hate Moore
>Lets Moore live rent free in his head
The frick are you going on?
>while being cool for nuking non-whites and killing pregnant non-white women
Where in the comic does he says this?
Anon is thinking it's a race thing when it was very much an American thing. American Lives Matter, other lives don't. People call Rorschach a hypocrite because he supported nuking Japan to save American lives but was against the squid to save the world from potential nuclear annihilation, but all he cares about is America. He wouldn't have had an issue with the Squid if Ozy put it in Moscow instead.
>He wouldn't have had an issue with the Squid if Ozy put it in Moscow instead
really, who would?
>but he supported Truman while opposing the squid
And there are tons of valid reasons for that, but Moore is a hack making a false equivalence
Ozymandias’ plan has plenty of validity too.
>Japan to save American lives
it didn't just save american lives.
And RFK liked fascism.
>Arnie as Manhattan
God damn that would have been kino squared.
I wonder if they would go the Hulk TV show or would do a Captain America First Avenger way.
>Schwarz with 2 (two) different roles where he has to play completely naked
I want to live in this timeline
Movie Veidt was too sus from his look to his acting
I think at that point everyone decided the book was so old there wasn't much point in trying to make it a TWIST so they just went with "have him portrayed as a psycho to the audience but not to the characters in the movie"
Just say effeminate and gay.
I cant tell if you get it when you didnt read the book. Kinda like it feels obvious that Korvac is Rorschach. In the book you get the street characters, but in the movie they are so small that Korvac stands out.
Chris Evans would have been perfect casting.
>you can ackshually go back and edit your previous writing to make it fit
that's called being a fricking hack and trash writer you fricking moron. characters DO take on a life of their own, if you create real characters with depth and are a good writer. the idea is to tell the story through them, through who the character is, not force the story and drag the character along with it.
but thats clearly my fault for expecting Cinemaphile levels of intelligence from this fricking inbred moronic manchild medium.
See the Nabokov quote right above. Do you think his characters are shallow?
I think we should differ between writing process and already published work.
>rrrrreeeeaaaaaalllllll writers don't edit
Lol, you don't know the first thing about writing.
>oh golly I don't have a writing process I just sprinkle some pixie dust and open the window to the other ficitonal world these characters exist in and chronicle their journeys with the magic of a type writer
shut
the
frick
up
no one thinks like this outside of fanfiction.
Good point. But sometimes you need some revision when the story falls apart or you get a new idea.
If we talk about already published, i agree woth you 100%. Because inconsistencies and plotholes just destroyes the story. Than you need to be creative to add points. Imguess in the past they used dea ex machina, gods to shake it up.
Guess that
whos that dude with the swastika on his armor? he looks badass.
Postal 16
Is it related to postal game?
No, from what i get it is a personal project.
Artist is Caio Oliveira.
Is there a comic equivalent of the postal games?
Not that i know of.
The closest I can think of is tails gets trolled and such stuff, but those don't fit the postals "shitty game which is fun and offensive" feel.
I ave not played postal yet and you are free to correct me.
does he win this fight?
I dont know. I found this on the artists deviant site.
I guess because people dont make him the heroic character but the vigilante who is a human piece of shit? I mean we see Comedian killing a pregnant women, try to rape Silk Spectre 1 and we get the info he was involved with JFK murder and Watergate.
I think the word stupid that anon used means that Moore doesnt get it. Or cant see how people will react to his work.
but he doesn't have a girlfriend and he eats cold beans, you're not allowed to like him
I agree with you. In the end he is like a man who fricked a fat girl the night before and now regrets he fricked her.
I'm not reading any of this, we have a "democrat" weaponizing the judicial system so he wins an election after weaponizing intelligence agencies to defraud the first one. Rorschach ended up being proven correct, the only thing these people will ever respect is violence.
>target random people = bad
>target fascist government = good
What's the problem here? Was this made by an autist who saw the issue as just hurting people vs hurting people with no other context or consideration?
I dont think they are random people. Rorschach targets people he can connect to crimes or criminals. And the ones we see are criminals.
he targets people he THINKS are connected to crimes and he is highly disturbed and shown to be wrong.
Ok, fair pont, he thinks are connected. I agree that Moloch is overly brutal. But we can see how he really quickly senses that Moloch isnt deeply involved.
He also killed that one "villain" that only ever put on the costume to be an exhibitionist.
God doesn't decide if someone dies. God doesn't decide anything. you guessed, it, because God's not real *tips fedora*
pity reply
Alan Moore is only 70? I thought he was like 70 20 years ago
one thing I agree with Moore is that fascist/populist politicians use superhero imaginary to promote themselves
no you got it wrong, his comics are his magical spells, because he unironically believes he's a wizard
Dumb thread
How would Moore react to all the memes about him?
He's an old fart he wouldn't understand it in the first place
He found find it funny that people take him that important. And he would be flattered.
I know little about this guy, all know is he wrote crossed 100 and made the bizarre decision to have everyone speak in in future slang which made it impossible for me to read.
>all know is he wrote crossed 100
That's bullshit.
No, he did write it, and it was pretty fricking terrible.
Sounds interesting, but it's Crossed.
Hi, Geoff!
>lack of creativity
>Same guy who uses either public domain characters or clear expies of pre existing characters for his only popular works
Thats kinda my critic. A little bit a hypocritic from Moore, but he is one of the best re-mixer and knows how to spoonge things up and rearrange that.
>You know that literary character from a memorable and well put together work of fiction? I'm going to draw them being anally raped
Moore does absolutely nothing to dispel the popular theory that comic book creators are nothing but schlock jocks, subversive israelites and creatively-bankrupt simpletons.
Thats something i cant agree with. Because what he lacks in creating something new, he has creativity in writing, ploting, layout, themes and mixing.
His remixes are quite a bit different from the original sources. I think he goes beyond remixing, sampling, or even variations on a theme, if we're borrowing music terminology. He uses recognizable elements to make something entirely new.
Honestly, it is much more transformative than just pure re-mixing. I might be too inaccurate.
Personally I never met a Moore hater that wasn't also insufferable and cringe
He causes the right people to seethe
You just know the guy who made this never actually read the comic V.
Dumb thread and I don't even like Moore that much
The Moore hate at this point is kind of moronic.
I'm not sure people on this board even KNOW HOW to talk about things they like.
I swear i make these threads as a goof, I am sorry for the hate and vitriol that arises.
I don't believe you.
>Why does god not want him to die yet?
Because our suffering must continue.
>Shows Alan Moore grinning at V
>Moore's interviews on V on Vendetta talking about how V is an awful human being and the comic goes out of its way to show how V is a terrible person
Jesus, these people have no ability to read. Also, I fricking love Rorscarchgays. Literally 1000% delusional muppets who either only watched the movie or didn't understand the comic.
>Heavily implied to be a homosexual, bitter as frick that Nite Owl didn't stick around for him
>For all his talks of absolute morality and never compromising, constantly compromises when it suits him, like giving Comedian a pass on raping/murdering people because he was Rorscarch's guy
>For all his talk about fighting crime, he beats people up for no other reason than they laugh at him, wears lifts because he's a fricking pissy manlet
>His capekiller theory was pure bullshit that Ozy actually uses to help obfuscate what he is doing
>In one night, Nite Owl solves the mystery and if it wasn't for him, Rorscarch would've been stuck in jail and probably died.
That's not accurate about Rorschach.
It is accurate
No. It's not even a reasonable interpretation. You're as bad as Rorschachgays.
>Heavily implied to be a homosexual, bitter as frick that Nite Owl didn't stick around for him
Where? Do you mean in the comic or the OP pic?
lol at OP"s post.
>Rorschach, was meant to be a caricature of Steve Ditko's objectavist superhero Mr.A
But that's false.
I remember watching an interview of him and he said when you take Batman to his core he is a psychopathic vigilante and that's he said was the starting point for Rorschach.
>You know, if you really think about it...
Said nobody cool ever
I dont think he is manic or depressive. But still a good observation and plausible valuation.
For me he creates stuff than sees how people react and being a contrarian dislikes it and does the contrary.
>a good observation
It really isn't. Most of it is conjecture. YouTube-comment tier hearsay.
Than it is one of the better YouTube-comments.
I'm glad you made this thread OP. Made all the dicksucking lickspittle crawl out from under their rocks and fellate him yet again, in the process revealing what pretentious morons they are as they simp for a talentless, uncreative, drug-addled communist hippie.
It’s so cool to fail at comicsgate shit so hard you have to do dumb comics about Alan Moore for other morons
Deep down, everyone here loves Moore.
statistically speaking eventually someone who dislikes Alan Moore will make a cognizant critique of his writing. It's only a matter of time.
>His critiques of everything he's criticized are shallow and moronic.
>Once you get past all the rape and drugs and le heckin epic symbolism you'll find his stories are trite and maudlin.
>He's been using other people's properties for most of his career, the number of original ideas he's had can be counted on one hand.
>He's an anarchist.
>He's a communist.
>He's a druggie.
It's not hard. What's hard is making his asslickers realize they've been conned.
>critique of his writing
>lists a bunch of shit that isn't his writing
Harder than you thought.
>Alan Moore gayboys are too moronic to understand a person's political inclinations and personal life has an important influence in their writing
Unsurprising but vexing nonetheless.
You listed non-critiques and factors that may have contributed to his writing.
What you didn't do is critique his writing.
>first three lines are explicit and concise criticisms of his writing
>DUUUUUH *EATS GLUE* YOU NEVER ACTUALLY *SNORTS MUCUS* CRITICIZED HIS WRITING *SHITS DIAPER*
Criticisms are not critiques.
>thing... isn't actually THING
>CHECKMATE HATER
Least moronic, least dishonest Alan Moore dicksucker.
It's okay because epicfailguy was fighting against a fascist government.
because god loves crazy people
It basically comes down to your opinions doesn’t it? Let’s say V for vendetta was the exact same, but now V is a persecuted religious man (sort of like the actual guy fawkes) with hard right attitudes killing people and blowing shit up to topple a communist dictatorship. Would you still consider him a good guy? I think a lot of people probably wouldn’t.
You're so moronic you probably need post-it notes to remind you to breathe.
itt: contrarian morons screech and holler and suck their own dicks because they decided their lack of reading comprehension means that a popular thing must be bad
