He was honestly one of the best if not the best parts of that movie

His theme or otherwise the soundtrack surrounding him was really really good too

He was definitely the best part. He felt like he belonged in an entirely different much better movie.

    It was painful to watch.

not because of the dramatic story of the character.

But because Le Bale acted so seriously in such a shitty movie, with everyone else doing joke in "I don't care" way, that I feel bad for him.

I am not a Christian but I find the idea of killing gods to be very disturbing
In general I find the idea of those who are high above being brought low to be a disturbing idea
I was uncomfortable when watching Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and seeing the fate of Ego

I find it disturbing from a conservationist point of view. Something like Ego is a unique and interesting creature so killing him is a huge loss, now no one can study him and that potential knowledge is lost, as well as an interesting being. But on the other hand, he was an evil homosexual so whatever.

I'm more viscerally disturbed whenever there's a "I am become god" kinda shit. Like that meme posted here of the moron gardener in the video game from the 90s I forget the name of.

You just know any human who'd become a god would make Misc pot look like peanuts.

Its kinda disturbing if those normal every day occurrences like seeing a white man and a white female in a relationship becomes an absolute rarity in movies (unless the relationship is supposed to be dramatic and toxic, it's still pretty common to cast 2 white people in those kind of movies)

Someone obviously wants to tell us something and I don't think I agree with them.

              Anonymous

If noticing race isn't important then why are the races so carefully chosen to only give mixed couples? Or a white couple/group when it's for villains as the other anon noted.
You're making the mistake of attacking the messenger. The directors are the ones insisring on (mixed) race and having fewer whites, so why are you upset at those who see the director's obsession and call us obsessed?

                >If noticing race isn't important then why are the races so carefully chosen to only give mixed couples?
That's kind of a biased statement given the fact that you believe two whites are the default pairing. Of course any sort of mixed race couples would look suspect to you, even if the races in question are commonly paired due to demographics or geography.

                >two whites are the default pairing.
In a story made in the West where it is predominantly white, most couples will be two whites, so yes.
                >Any sort
Ah, now you're assuming I would kvetch about a sino-manchu couple in a story set in Qing China, aren't you. If you're just gonna create arguments instead of addressing what I said there's no need to go further.

                >That's kind of a biased statement given the fact that you believe two whites are the default pairing.
Belief has nothing to do with it, in-group preference has been a fact forever and still continues to be even to this day, despite the amount of propaganda against it
It's so weird how offended people get when you point obvious propaganda.
Imagine a film where no eats meat, it's s normal film, but inexplicably no one eats meat. Just tofu and roasted bugs. Wouldn't you think that's normal?

                Anonymous

Whites are not the default pairing, but monoracial couples are. Go to Africa and see how many mixed race couples you can find. A few small percentages of people being in a mixed race relationship doesnt invalidate the fact that even today an overwhelming majority of couples in every nation on the planet are monoracial, monoethnic and monoreligious.

he tried NOT to be like voldemort. the character in the comics looks just like voldemort because he has no nose so bale and taika wisely tried to avert as much similarities as they could.

also the god butcher only kills one God in the film but there are two deleted scenes which you will never see where Christian Bale meets Jeff Goldblums character and another scene where he meets Peter Dinklages character (the dwarf giant who the weapon for Thor in Avengers)

Why in the world are those scenes not being utilized or featured? Royalties in contracts.

You know we could just stop lions from eating zebras right? We could build fences, feed the lions with plant-based protein or at least humanely butchered animals that didn't have to go through the agony of being torn to pieces and eaten alive and massively reduce suffering in the world.

You think we should do that?

    Gorr is overrated anyway.
His story is cool and pretty good up until the the time traveling homosexualry starts, then it's just contrivance after contrivance to wrap shit up.
He's only well regarded as he is, because in comparison to marvel's gay transbian women of color he's actually a comic book character
