I'm neither of those people but can speak as someone who never liked this movie or considered it very good, I think people way overhyping this movie on release is probably influencing current discourse since so many people have negative reactions to the sequel. Just my guess.

It is. There has been this need for everything to be accepted as good or the best. Look at the reception of Hazbin Hotel when it released. There was two dynamics. People pushing it as shit from the beginning because they hated the concept altogether, and people desperate to make others like it because their love for it made them blind to any criticism that even remotely came up. Again, morons and people can be entertained by shit. There is nothing wrong with liking popcorn movies and slop. It's just when said morons try to act like those things are quality.

this is literally just how people and the internet are now. nobody replies to middling opinions, only extreme ends, so that's all anyone ever posts. that's why political discussion is the way it is.

Old Pixar movies were able to be a great memory for a kid and not be an annoying evening for an adult watching it with them. That's better no matter which way you slice it.

starring in a tv show called Documentary Now! It wasn't also a dig on Tony Hale. Guy is great but knowing Disney....he probably got a lower pay at the last second.
It's funny too watching people try to dig up anything they can on both Hader and Kahling acting like one was better than the other. Especially when the first movie was an ensemble comedy that barely focused on them over Joy and Sadness. I think the only real moment I liked Fear is when he was the weak voice of reason or him watching the dream sequence.

That is frankly insulting considering Fear and Disgust have just as much dialogue here as in 1 (if not more so since they come along for the adventure this time.)

it's Hispanic you piece of shit so you only get 3

        1. Its pacing is much more smoother. The first movie drags on too much. Obviously the first movie is trying to establish the world of emotions, but even then the ball doesn't start rolling until 20 minutes in where as this movie actually just goes.
        2. Its jokes are much tighter and while it does have stupid puns, they're fewer and far between from the first movie.
        3. Joy and Sadness aren't insufferable characters that make you wish death upon them. Joy is still kind of a sack of shit but because the "villain" is anxiety your hate is focused elsewhere.

Kind of but not really. This is sort of difficult to explain but Riley goes through something like an ego death, but not really. Essentially the emotions all fail at being Riley. The OG emotions create a landslide with a pile of repressed memories which end up in this pool that forms RIley's sense of self. with the pool filled a series of senses of self are formed.

the latter part you're kind of right but only anxiety appears the other new emotions don't even show up.

      Anonymous

It ends with Riley having a panic attack thanks to Anxiety and Joy having to rip out Riley's sense of self to allow a new one to form based on all her bad memories, not just the good ones Joy deemed worthy

      Anonymous

You're basically right. At the end you see that anxiety at least was in the parents' minds all along too but had been hiding behind a curtain and is basically ignored by the original emotions. The others aren't shown.
Towards the end, Reilly's anxiety is also sort of pushed into the background away from the control panel. I think the idea is that the new emotions will get pushed further back as you mature and take less control of your life. During puberty they're more prominent and have the potential to take control.

    >Barks with excitement at a good looking person.
    >Leans to the console causing a “drooling”.
    >Steps on the console and starts running all over it pressing random buttons when witnessing a fetish.

    >Other emotions have to keep it on a leash to prevent disasters.
    >The dog keeps breaking free and causing “involuntary” actions.

    >Emotions scream when the dog pees on the console, lock him up, and start cleaning everything = Post nut clarity.

      Anonymous

Yes her character suffers from "forgets her lesson" syndrome immediately. It's just now it's different because there's a new beliefs and sense of self system.
Memories form beliefs and beliefs over time for a sense of self. Joy jettison any memories with negative emotions to the back of the mind so they don't contribute to her sense of self. This makes her sense of self a one-dimensional and lame "I am a good person". I thought the way they were going with this was that Joy was making her an insufferable narcissist by only using good memories to inform her self identity. But then anxiety comes along and does the same thing but only uses anxious memories which turns Reily into an anxiety-crippled mess having a heart attack. The movie ends with all the good and bad memories converging on the belief system to make a sense of self not driven by any singular emotion and more complex and nuanced.
