Ok KO had a good premise , setting and cast of characters
The best episodes of the show were the ones where they played well with the concept of a world of superheroes and video games characters.
Too bad they focused on a weak Story instead of going full fun adventures in an episodic structure.
This. OK KO is such a guilty pleasure but I could never fully rewatch it because of how scatter brained the show was. Was it supposed to be a childish kid show like early adventure time? Did it want to be meta like gumball? Did they actually want to take time to dedicate the show to serious plot lines like SU(the academy one with Enid was dog shit.) It never knew what it wanted to be as it tried dipping itself in every dish.
Summed up perfectly. Despite liking it theres really only one episode I can bring myself to watch anymore.
the vore one
They tried everything and it just felt so weird especially after season one it felt like the characters just became more and more childish , the plot became more all over the place and there’s be shit no one cared about like anything involving point whether it was the Enid college arc or the stuff with foxtail like closing the bodega or something I don’t remember it all felt like a waste of time like and you could really tell Ian wanted it to last a lot longer since the final plot lines are just rushed as hell (still don’t’t know why crossover nexus apparently pissed off some exec though
The art style is absolutely repulsive
Eat shit
I'm not eating that pic
Ok that was good I must admit
and the fact the show had steven universe levels of characters being off model
OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes was some of the most fun I've had watching a cartoon in recent years, and no amount of corpo speak will convince me it was worth killing off in the midst of mergers.
I wanna frick Cosma.
Get in line, homie.
I can fix her the earth on a silver platter.
It had cute girls
OK KO was literally just indulgent millennials thinking gen alpha kids would resonate with pew pew 8 bit video game references, and those gen alpha kids who never played that shit didn't, and the show flopped, and that's really all there is to say about it.
it was a show made by people who knew WHAT they liked, but not WHY they liked it. that's why everything was a reference. it was badly done
Nostalgia blindness the show
These threads feel desperate. You're not going to change anyone's minds on OK KO at this point, so give up and post about it if you want.
