>She's basically Rei with a skin swap, but this time they are fricking over Obiwan instead of Luke.
This. The "girl power" is so transparent because they can't be assed to make her abilities and deductions somewhat believable. Somehow she's the only one that has every answer all the time.
She’s one of the greatest Star Wars characters ever written, I can’t wait to learn more of her back story, she has potential for beating Vader, even Palpatine
thats not what he said
what that anon said is that even tho she is a Black person and a terrible character its well within the disney modus operandi so the newfound saturated hate for her is amusing
I'm not seeing any specific hate aimed towards her outside of Cinemaphile, which is mostly manufactured by threads like this one. Everywhere else, the main criticism is mostly that this show is shit as a whole and Reva being a terrible character is just one many problems this show has.
>She's basically a no character. Another bland villain, just like eveything in Disney star wars.
Bland, uninteresting non-character... which the show basically revolves around.
But yeah, the hate if probably just racism.
I like how reddit/twitter manchildren see being a nihilistic homosexual living on a rock alone and being a "crimelord" who illegally occupies an entire planet for funsies as maturing. Boba matured because instead of murdering and capturing people for pay, he's making money by extorting people just as shitty as him and enlisting the help of teenage cyber-homosexuals. So mature.
>overracting >looks too young >isn't intimidating >only in the show for diversity >talks just like a regular african american woman >trying to make her the scariest villain as well as the best surprise hero, doing neither particularly well >is black
Shitty annoying character. All the characters around her don't like her either so I don't know why put her in the show at all if everyone is going to be annoyed by her.
black women being portrayed as evil villains is a trope that simply doesn't exist in the long canon of Hollywood tropes. To most people it feels out of place and forced. In the real world though there certainly are many villainous black women
she isn't a villain, she's obviously the black girl from the flashback when Anakin killed the Padawan who somehow managed to escape and she will betray Vader and save the day in the end.
>betray Vader and save the day in the end.
She’s going to kill vader, but wounded bad enough she needs to take up the Vader mantle, this explains why Reva doesn’t know c3po or r2d2 in the OT timeline. Fricking Disney filling them plot holes like a boss
Yeah that was a close one, we only had a 99.98% chance. Disney+ is churning out one flop after the next. There hasn't been a single successful Marvel or Disney show yet and they keep throwing shit against the wall hoping something will stick. It's frankly quite amusing to watch with each new show being worse than the last.
Netflix produces a lot of garbage, but even they have several originals that completely mog anything on Disney+. I mean, just take Daredevil season 1, it outclasses anything Disney have done with their MCU TV shows.
The contrast between the way they are trying to portray her as an intimidating Imperial agent (and you can just picture the boardroom full of onions cucks and wine aunts going OOH YAS KWEEN SLAY as they thought this up) and her appearance as some diversity hire whose holding up a line at the DMV a mile long is too much. In truth she gets let down by a terrible costume and script, but her acting isn't good either and her hair looks completely out of place in Star Wars, let alone for an Imperial. She really just symbolizes how the people who run Lucasfilm now have no conception of how to maintain a consistent aesthetic and tone throughout the franchise. Plus the fact that they are clearly using her as yet another fall guy for internet trolls so they can virtue signal about racism, just like they did with John Boyega and Kelly Marie Tran is so predictable. For some reason we are meant to believe that Star Wars fans have a racism problem, meanwhile nobody had an issue with Lando in the 1980s, or Mace Windu in the 2000's, or either Karl Weathers or Gus from Breaking Buck in the Mandolorian. The difference? All those characters were acting by talented people and fit within the Star Wars universe.
I genuinely like those increasingly rare threads where anons actually explain what is the problem instead of hurling racial epithets. I'm deadly serious, I actually understand what is the trouble people have with this character instead of wishing for the death of all the posters, this is fantastic. I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead tho
she is original character that isnt race swapped which is nice but i still want camp for sith or over the top evilness, funny disney of all companies is making their villans more subdued.
Why couldn't we just have a sexy, evil Twi'Lek sith woman as Vader's enforcer? She could even be played by a black woman for all I care, but only if it's Zoe Saldana.
lmao, you guys are the ones who keep making these threads, the Disney shills and race baiters who want to "own the chuds". Just look at this thread's OP.
She has no apparent motivation, other than being an angsty insubordinate, power-hungry super-powered, I don't want to say Mary Sue, because we don't really know her backstory, but yeah.
There was potential for an interesting character. The fact that the actress is black has nothing to do with it, other than they are directing her, or allowing her, to fuel her character's malace through the stereotypical african american internal rage. She talks to literally everyone like they're racists, when that's absolutely not how racism in Star Wars works.
She's too fricking powerful, she just insta-gibbs her commanding officer, who is shown to be more powerful in the force than her? She reflects ship blasters at point blank range?
The ONLY thing that's going to redeem her character is if she was a former Jedi/apprentice that got her mind wiped or something. It doesn't fix the writing of the show, but that's the only way I could get her turning good again. She's supposed to be a Zuko, but she's not. She's a fricking Draco.
>is if she was a former Jedi/apprentice
isn't that what was shown in the beginning of episode 2? there's a female chinese master and a bunch of younglings? I got the impressions that those kids were the inquisitors
I had the impression that like, the kid that was hung after Obi-wan rejected him was one of those kids.
They mention some Jedi were turncoats after order-66, it's possible they raised some of the younglings, but then why murder them in the first place when you could have indoctrinated them?
The whole concept of inquisitors doesn't make sense with the Sith power dynamic. But here we are.
I had the impression that like, the kid that was hung after Obi-wan rejected him was one of those kids.

she is literally the kid in the very first shot of the very first episode. this is incredibly obvious and telegraphed from a mile away
lets make a list >woman >black >cucks main character >cucks main villain >relationship between main character and main villain is also cucked >too many women talking >women talking sass at men >useless main character men that are dumb
etc etc
Reva wants to kill Kenobi because his padawan (Anakin) killed her master (unnamed Chinese Jedi with green light saber in pilot episode opening sequence).
Reva's motivation is balancing the scales. Kill Kenobi to gain favour with Vader. Use that favour to become right hand to Vader. Kill Vader. Balance the karmaic scales.
But they chose the silliest actor possible to convey all of this. And the goofy choreography and action sequence choices are immersion breaking. Back flip into a front tuck roll to get over a rooftop door you could just run around instead? That was a directing choice. Explaining the need for counterintuitive stop-and-go motion during a high pace action chase is counterproductive.
And if NuWars force users can fly in space and levitate grown adults across rooms, why bother running and flipping and parkouring in the jankiest way possible instead of just flying Magneto style?
Every decision made in regards to Reva, from actor to dialogue to inflection to accent to hair to makeup to costuming to movement to motivation to action to fighting to running to parkour to allegiances to props to behaviour to CGI to choreography to depth has all been a misfire. All of it. I can't think of one singular point of redeeming quality, and I'm being generous.
She emotes like a person you would pull off the street and she only seems to be able to sneer.
She's basically Rei with a skin swap, but this time they are fricking over Obiwan instead of Luke.
>She's basically Rei with a skin swap, but this time they are fricking over Obiwan instead of Luke.
This. The "girl power" is so transparent because they can't be assed to make her abilities and deductions somewhat believable. Somehow she's the only one that has every answer all the time.
I don't really get the hate. She's basically a no character. Another bland villain, just like eveything in Disney star wars. I guess i'ts just racism.
She’s one of the greatest Star Wars characters ever written, I can’t wait to learn more of her back story, she has potential for beating Vader, even Palpatine
So you're saying you're a fan of generic, bland villains who take up half the screentime of an episode in a show that should be about Obi-Wan?
thats not what he said
what that anon said is that even tho she is a Black person and a terrible character its well within the disney modus operandi so the newfound saturated hate for her is amusing

Bland, uninteresting non-character... which the show basically revolves around.

>Luke
>matured
Yeah murdering your nephew and abandoning your family and friends. Very mature
You live with your parents. You don't know about maturity.
considering how much you're pulling assumptions out your neovegana, you need to take your own advice. cute try, though.
>character development
>matured
>drinky tiddy milk and being an arse
did you even into watch?
I like how reddit/twitter manchildren see being a nihilistic homosexual living on a rock alone and being a "crimelord" who illegally occupies an entire planet for funsies as maturing. Boba matured because instead of murdering and capturing people for pay, he's making money by extorting people just as shitty as him and enlisting the help of teenage cyber-homosexuals. So mature.
oh they changed so some soi could selfinsert
>Luke becoming a suicidal old man who failed in every respect.
>Betterment
*breathes in calmly* have a nice day.
her acting is on the same level as Leia, but she doesnt have the excuse of being 6 year old
>I hope you like pain.
>Ok so what exactly is the problem heah?
>overracting
>looks too young
>isn't intimidating
>only in the show for diversity
>talks just like a regular african american woman
>trying to make her the scariest villain as well as the best surprise hero, doing neither particularly well

Not hammy or scary, therefore not my sith
Shitty annoying character. All the characters around her don't like her either so I don't know why put her in the show at all if everyone is going to be annoyed by her.
Because everyone thought it was Anakin that would bring balance, Maybe that has been a lie this entire time and it’s Reva being the first grey Jedi
The problem? Well, I'm not gonna say it because the hot pockets gave me a three day vacation, but let's just say it starts with an "N".
Nipple
You're almost there my kind sir. Keep trying!

Cope.
Almost there.
Naggers
We're getting there!
Villains must be interesting.
The black villain in 'Serenity' was interesting. she is not.
black women being portrayed as evil villains is a trope that simply doesn't exist in the long canon of Hollywood tropes. To most people it feels out of place and forced. In the real world though there certainly are many villainous black women
she isn't a villain, she's obviously the black girl from the flashback when Anakin killed the Padawan who somehow managed to escape and she will betray Vader and save the day in the end.
Hopefully she will perish heroically saving anakin, thus fulfilling the hollywood trope of the black man always dying.
>betray Vader and save the day in the end.
She’s going to kill vader, but wounded bad enough she needs to take up the Vader mantle, this explains why Reva doesn’t know c3po or r2d2 in the OT timeline. Fricking Disney filling them plot holes like a boss
>when I left you I was but a learner, now I am the master
Holy shit Vader is Reva?
>Only a master of aids queer.
What did he mean by this?
She will redeem and save luke and Leia. Kenobi is a 6 episode backdoor pilot for Disney Story group OC Reva
>stares into the camera with the same dumbass expression in your path
I'M ACTING
No acting skills and is mostly just Disney trying to make sheboon into protagonist on show that is called Kenobi, so Kenobi is just marketing.
Also I hate sheboons worst type.
Be grateful you frickers survived Covid, we are entering the the new dawn of Star Wars
the new respawn game and KOTORemake are still a year or two away, theres still enough time for monkeypox to get us.
Yeah that was a close one, we only had a 99.98% chance. Disney+ is churning out one flop after the next. There hasn't been a single successful Marvel or Disney show yet and they keep throwing shit against the wall hoping something will stick. It's higher budget but still the same quality of shitty netflix originals
Netflix produces a lot of garbage, but even they have several originals that completely mog anything on Disney+. I mean, just take Daredevil season 1, it outclasses anything Disney have done with their MCU TV shows.
>be grateful you survived the seasonal flu
She's too sexy
She's not sitting on my face
I love blacks! Great people
>I love blacks! Great people
They are a MUSICAL people, aren't they??
Just fantastic. Blacks and music. Love me some blues and jazz. Not really into that modern stuff though. Great people!
bad actor, bad writing, horrible costume
The contrast between the way they are trying to portray her as an intimidating Imperial agent (and you can just picture the boardroom full of onions cucks and wine aunts going OOH YAS KWEEN SLAY as they thought this up) and her appearance as some diversity hire whose holding up a line at the DMV a mile long is too much. Oh yahhh suck my Black personbreasts Anakin! I'm going to kill your uncle!

>2 episodes left
Why couldn't we just have a sexy, evil Twi'Lek sith woman as Vader's enforcer? She could even be played by a black woman for all I care, but only if it's Zoe Saldana.
Force cumshot in my black pussy Anakin!
Generally I repulsed by black women, but this particular specimen is a nigress and I'd frick her
If Ewan McGregor couldn't elevate this shitpile, no one can. It's not her fault.
She's trying to be masculine but she's female. True badass women use their female charms.
>star wars is gay!!
>starts over 9000 star wars threads/day
lmao, you guys are the ones who keep making these threads, the Disney shills and race baiters who want to "own the chuds". Just look at this thread's OP.
Honestly never thought I would say I miss people replying "breasts or gtfo"
She reminds me of the girls that would make fun of me in High school. ;_;
You should have asked her out
Hindsight is 20/20.

There are people who still support Disney Star Wars.
She sucks, and I ain’t talking about my willy.
>teaches Vader how to put tracking devices on escaped prisoner's ships like he does in ANH
POWERFUL
I'm pretty sure we see him do that in the early years of the Clone Wars.
We also see the Grand Inquisitor alive in Rebels. They stopped caring about cartoon canon.
I would tbqh
Vader would have snapped her neck a long time ago. He has killed subordinates for much less.
She's fine. I like that she plays generic villain without any pointless overtures. Leia is so much worse in the show than any other character.
lets make a list
>woman
>black
>cucks main character
>cucks main villain
>relationship between main character and main villain is also cucked
>too many women talking

How come every time I post a critique of this black lady, janny bans me
False advertising
She's not a cute tomboy girlfriend. This angers me.
she do be kinda thick though
Beautiful woman.
>Nose Piercing
DROPPED
shes a Black person
