End it 3 seasons earlier and stopped every other person being a cylons. The only "human cylons should've been number six and baltar but still have the paranoia of everyone possibly being a cylon.

    First episode
    >I am an angel of god
    Last episode
    >they really were an angel of god

The reeeee’ing and fedora tipping when the finale premiered was insane. It’s like they were watching a different show the entire time. It’s like they did not know Ronald Moore loves combining religion and sci-fi, like in his run on DS9

No it does not. Are you honestly trying to say this place does not make you miserable? I am here for the same reason you are, we are stuck in this hell

Personally my issue was more that they didn't do anything about it. It's fine if you realize technology is the problem, but they'd just uncovered evidence that humanity went through the cylon problem in cycles and instead of trying to prevent it a third time around they just said frick it, let's get on the ride again and see if it goes differently this time.

She was really pro Cylon, and kind of an abusive mean b***h in the first two seasons. Makes no sense for her to be some actual angel later on.

Baltar required tough love to force in to step up and not just cowardly fade into the background, trying only to get laid and escape execution. She never really aided the Cylons, except perhaps when she convinced him not to report Boomer, and presumably that was because Boomer was necessary to God's plan

It's early 00s in the worst way
The starting mini series is the best it ever got. That is worth the watch. If you want more after that then go for it.

        Absolute dogshit opinion.
        Season 1 is fantastic.
        Season 2 is fantastic.
Season 3 starts off very strong then gets dull in the middle, then picks up at the end.
Season 4 for all its faults has some really great episodes, but the final arc of the show is really disappointing.

the prehistoric earth thing isn't necessarily an awful idea but you could get there a bit better
also the only way to make it work is to have had the Galactica arrive there alone without the rest of the fleet in such a condition that the remaining crew has to abandon ship
the whole willingly giving up all of their advanced technology is dumb. It also has no moral behind it because their society must devolve into literally illiterate cave people who didn't not transmit the idea that creating artificial life isn't the best idea to their descendants
also just one scene or line that makes them suspect their ancestors somehow were brought from that Earth to Kobol and uplifted
you can have some scene where the rest of the fleet leaves for Kobol since it's a pristine world

I thought it was pretty clear in the first two seasons that the show takes place in the far future and Earth was just one of the many worlds in the cycle.

No idea why they decided to make 2 Earths.

        >I thought it was pretty clear in the first two seasons that the show takes place in the far future
        that's never clear
I think people take offensive with aspects of the show that were actually taken over from the original series. Angels, mystical stuff is present in the original
as is the association with ancient astronaut stuff big at the time
BSG taking place in Earth's past is perfectly in line with the mythos the series inherited from the original and there's no reason to have thought it was in the future. If anything, I think a lot of people were expecting a modern day Earth

Athena and Karl should die so that Caprica 6 and Baltar become Hera's parents as was prophesied prior to Hera's birth.
Tigh should never frick Caprica. That whole arc was a waste of time and stands out as being a pretty weird moment for both characters.
Boomer needs to get an actual arc. The writers just gave up on her after that one episode on Caprica. While pairing her up with Cavil helped explore his character, it didn't benefit her at all. I would like to see her character from the angle of someone seeking redemption but for whom redemption is impossible because she was preempted, replaced. Athena (and Cally, by killing her initially) has stolen her only chance at restoring her place on Galactica. I think I would make her a proto-nun, going into religious seclusion in the same pattern as Guinevere in Le Mort D'Arthur. She could mirror Baltar's priest figure, providing the feminine alternative.
Kara can be an angel, and she can also not know that, but she can't be so confused, angry, and stupid about it. I would change her arc so that instead of acting so human she would slowly become more detached from humanity. She would seek out God first with Baltar, then among the Cylons (to the growing concern of her friends), and in the final moment she would play the part she was born for and then finally disappear.
Tyrol should not be a Cylon. Of all the final five, he was the one most fricked over. His entire character was destroyed - and then they had to make him a cuck to explain his kid. He worked much better as the ordinary man trying his best.
Finally, Caval should not be the mastermind behind all the bad Cylons. There were plenty of good and interesting reasons for the Cylons to genocide humanity - putting it all on his shoulders and parental issues is stupid. His reasons should be one factor among many and all the Cylons should be culpable. He can still be the final big bad, but I think the civil war between the Cylons was far too simplistic.

Just don't fully lean into the magic shit. Once they fully opened that door, it meant the writers got lazier as they could always fall back on, "eh it's magic or the gods or something."

So there was nothing grounded, nothing restricting what they could write. So characters just come back from the dead, because magic.

Colonials arrive on Earth just like the actual end only instead of everyone returning to monke they build Atlantis, and only some of the main cast goes to teach the humans of that earth elsewhere on the planet.

Could have done it as Galactica crashes on an island in the Atlantic and it's during the Late Glacial Interstadial around 14,000 years ago, then they develop a civilization on that island whose remnants later seed other ancient civilizations. I think one of the weird things in the show is choosing a date 150,000 years ago which is so ridiculously long ago in terms of human development to be meaningless.
