4 is awful. When you watch 1-3 there’s a sense that yeah this is a huge blockbuster with a good story. 4 feels cheap despite it being the most expensive film ever

The hype for dead man's chest was so real though at the time, I remember driving my cousin's truck to go see it at night and blasting that pirates of the Caribbean theme on the way, kino times.
I recently rewatched the first 3, and to me 2 and 3 were equally good. And by that I mean they were far worse than the first but still okay films. What did you not like about the third?
Not og poster but 3 is the biggest wiener tease. 2000 pirate ships vs 2000 naval ships and only 3 end up fighting. The pirate grounded vibe of the first movie is long gone by this one. It’s way too long. It’s boring. It has a few good scenes

I prefer PotC 4 and 5 to 2 and 3. 4 has the mermaids and 5 has Scodelario and Yag Sbarro. 2 and 3 bring nothing to the table for me.

This movie is both an unecessary ploy to keep a finished saga going and also a decent palate cleanser after the travesty that was the third movie.
