Give them some credit for not making her character the obnoxiously skilled, better-than-every-guy female character. They could have given her the hangman role or something and made her character on par with maverick skill wise to the point where it’s unrealistic. There would have been lines with Tom cruise saying some corny shit like “she’s the best damn pilot I’ve ever seen” or “don’t mess with her”. This would have been the case if Disney made the movie. But no they made her no better than anyone else. They were all pretty good and had their flaws.
