The fetishism overshadows the weirder scifi aspects. I thought the idea of living ships was cool when I first saw it, then the shower scenes happened and I realized it was just more excuse for fetishism, probably vor related or some bullshit.

well there is the one guy who was guilty of not giving alms, and when you see his memory you get the impression that the church is just non stop badgering you for alms.
It's all true, but the context is key here. And that's what makes it so interesting.
There is no need to reinterpret it like you did.

It's too good to discuss ultimately. A lot of stuff is also thoroughly explained and the way the series ends only invites discussion about what would have happened if they continued the series which ends up just being fanfiction discussions in the end.

It's a perfect detox from hollywood slop that fricks up your brain chemistry
        >the protagonist is a spineless pervert who fricks up every decision
        >the chick is eye-candy with no personality, morphed from a disgusting uggo with no personality
        >the ancient civilization remnant asexual assassin literally wants to die and feels nothing
        >defeating the evil overlord is meaningless
        >all the while you're assaulted with homosexual BDSM imagery
Literally none of the reward centers get stimulated while watching this. It's the perfect show.

I forgot how much they hated puppets in fantasy let alone sci-fi, though Farscape doesn't use them that much.

not much to say other than "watch it" and it maybe needs a modern re-edit to tighten it up. Episodes were obviously too long for the material they had, so there's a lot of un-needed slowness and filler that could be cut.
