Hmmm, let's see how many netflix shows have 6 season...
It will be 3 season, because that what they paid up front, and in the end they will claim it didn't made any money and commit tax fraud.
>Hmmm, let's see how many netflix shows have 6 season...
Bojack, Orange is the New Black, House of Cards. There are probably others but I don't care enough to Google it.
no other netflix show has lasted the supposed 12 seasons they want, even 6 already feels like asking too much, they need to not be greedy, especially oda, and accept changing the story to end it sooner. getting 7 - 8 seasons could be the right move but they would have to address the characters aging up along with the actors and cut a lot of shit, then oda should hurry up and reveal what the treasure is in the manga so that the show ends either showing it the same as the manga or using a different idea he came up with during all these years
One Piece has like 600 chapters of just getting better and better before hitting its first dud. If they remain faithful there's absolutely no way it can fail.
>but they would have to address the characters aging up
>And boob jobs.
There's no way in fuck that they're going to depict the female characters as they are moving forward. Leaving aside muh sexism, it's just insane. They are lucky that name and the other female characters look more or less normal at the beginning. >Does it really matter if years pass instead of weeks?
Yes, they've been at it for 20 years now and the main cast is just barely in their early 20s.
>Yes, they've been at it for 20 years now and the main cast is just barely in their early 20s.
This has always been a stupid aspect of the One Piece manga, unironically.
It's been 3 years since the start of the manga, and 2 of those were just a timeskip.
Luffy should reach the Grand Line when he's in his early 40s. The whole point is that it's an adventure.
But I get it, shonen manga aimed at teenagers. Still, no reason why they can't change that for the show.
But they are already on their way to the last island, and already trading punches with the strongest in the world, worst case would be it takes Oda 5 years to end it.
the manga is starting its final saga but there's still a lot of shit to cover, if the show does get renewed for several seasons, that means oda will be busy again pretty much for the rest of the serialization until the end of the manga, the constant breaks will become a norm and the story will get stretched out even longer, the manga may as well become biweekly if not monthly at certain point
Good. Baroque works is way too fucking long. The Mr. 3 fight is where I bailed on One Piece back in 2003 and didn't pick it up again until 2006. Drum can be an episode.
>skipping Skypeia
Unfortunately this. Even though it is awesome arc and Enel is incredible villain, it is so self-contained they basically stopped putting any references to it in all other media.
It was great to put crew against endgame enemy this early on.
tbf Skypiea is pretty needlessly long, they only to need to arrive, establish Enel as a threat, do a little bit of backstory on the sky island conflict, have the gold hunt/face off against the different ordeals, then have Luffy fight Enel. They can easily do all that in 3 episodes. Its not an overly cumbersome plot that requires hours and hours of screentime to do justice.
They are not gonna end a season with only Water 7 done as they head to Enies Lobby.

Fucking nothing happens during W7. All of W7 is one episode. The seatrain, all of CP9 and Merry's death are 3 episodes, maybe 4 if they really want to play up Usopp's betrayal and Merry's death.
Jaya has the best moment in the whole series.
This statement always confused me. Like sure, he's juxtapositioned against the ultra-cynical pirates in town, but at the same time he's fucking evil and probably trying to capture Luffy, but he just doesn't for some reason.

>probably trying to capture Luffy, but he just doesn't for some reason.
At this point he didn't know Luffy had a 100m bounty, so he had no reason to try and capture him right then and there. The second he knew Luffy was big enough to offer as a prize to the WG he went straight after him.

You want them to adapt 117 in 4
That's not what "same pace" means.

This, a tremendous amount of Alabasta is travel time and dealing with the Baroque agents on the side, it's really not that hard to trim that down to something manageable. You could easily do Alabasta in 4 episodes if you need to, the only thing I could see them full on skipping in a potential season 2 would be little garden, it's good world building but it would take a lot of cgi work.

Little garden is bad. But I don't think they'll pass up the spectacle of having giants. The mole lady and Mr. 4 is one of my personal favorite encounters but I'll understad them cutting it for time.

The Mr. 3 fight was boring but other than that Little Garden was great. >Cool viking giants >century-long honorable battle to the death >Usopp being inspired by this >Teasing Elbaf >Sanji trolling Crocodile >Nami going topless for plot reasons
kino.

Little Garden is important character development for Usopp who wants to be a brave warrior of the sea and is inspired by Broggy and Dorry
Plus, Nami getting deathly sick there from an insect-borne disease is the reason they stopped on Drum Island and picked up Chopper in the first place. Vivi asking Luffy to stop somewhere to find a doctor for Nami is important character development.
I really don't think anything needs to be trimmed for the Alabasta saga, these arcs aren't that long. See
The Baroque Works plotline starts in Whiskey Peak, that's where Princess Vivi joins them, remember. So the Alabasta saga includes Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island too.
I think episode 1 will be Loguetown into Reverse Mountain.
Episode 2 is going to start with the Laboon stuff and then go into Whiskey Peak.
Ep 3 = Little Garden
Ep 4 = Drum Island
That leaves 5, 6, 7, 8 for Alabasta itself which is plenty of time, that's two feature-length films.
[...]
My uncle works at Netflix. Here's the plan: >Season 2 = Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, Drum Island, Alabasta (adapting ~121 chapters) >Season 3 = Jaya, Skypeia, begin Water 7 but end it at a cliffhanger after Usopp leaves (adapting ~115 chapters) >Season 4 = Continue Water 7 into Enies Lobby (adapting ~108 chapters)
Even if you restructure it I don't think Thriller Bark would really fit as part of a season tbh, it should just get a film as a Halloween special before the next season. >Season 5 = Sabaody, entire Summit War saga, end at timeskip (adapting ~108 chapters) >Season 6 = Timeskip and reunion, Fish-Man Island, Punk Hazard (adapting ~102 chapters) >Season 7 = Dressrosa (adapting ~102 chapters) >Season 8 = Zou, Whole Cake Island, Levely is the last episode (adapting ~107 chapters) >Season 9 = Wano (adapting ~149 chapters) >Season 10 = Egghead, Elbaf >Season 11 = ????????? >Season 12 = ????, Laugh Tale
So basically following the pattern of 1 saga = 1 season except the beginning of Water 7 being added after Skypeia, the Going Merry really takes a beating there after all. And Punk Hazard with Fish-Man Island just because Dressrosa is fucking long.

Why? It was well done and it's a short arc. They can adapt it in a single episode.

Only Punk Hazard needs no reduction, Dressrosa and Wano are bloated. Also by uniting these relevant arcs in the same season, writers can exploit it to make more efficient storytelling.

>Skipping Skypeia
Oh no, the horror. How will I live without 77 episodes of the Shandorians whining, followed by a 1 episode fight where Enel fucks off to the moon instead of being beaten.
It is. Nothing will compare to Enel realizing that Luffy's power is a hard counter to his "invincible" ability and the fact that Luffy doesn't have to defeat every single bad guy he encounters. It's a truly unique element in a story that eventually turns into what
Yeah, W7/EL marks the full transition into a standard fare battle manga
>, refusing to make Usopp dislikeable enough
Why are One Piece fans so insanely fucking retarded? He's upset because his ship is on it's last legs which is a symbol for his entire childhood, family, and friends. He's just refusing to cooperate and acting irrational as a part of that and the reader knows it. If anything Luffy looks like huge douchebag.
You're wrong. But I've no interest in discussing this with you because I was discussing it as the chapters were coming out and it wasn't already a foregone conlusion that Usopp would remain in the crew.
It's actually embarrassing that you claim to have read it as the chapters were coming out and you thought Usopp was leaving. Do you read absolutely anything else other than this? You're like a child who thinks cartoon characters are people that exist in reality.
>S1 was perfect
It was much better than expected, but still far from perfect. Usopp got robbed of his first time to shine in his own intro arc, and the themes/groundwork laid during the Baratie arc are basically nonexistent to the point where Sanji joins up on a whim. I also can't think of a good reason to change things so that Nojiko and the rest of the Cocoyashi villagers didn't know about Nami's deal with Arlong, since we lost that emotional payoff of Nami finding out.
Absolutely fucking not. Oda grew very self-indulgent in past few years.
People might remember that the lore dump pre-Wano arc was 50 chapters long aka entire year.
If he doesn't plan to do GTA5 ending or if the publishers won't pull Tite Kubo on him, there is a snowflake chance in hell of it ending in next 6 years.
you are retarded, he turned luffy from someone that could barely hang with a yonko commander to solo kaido in a single arc
he absolutely is rushing the story which is why wano was fucking terrible
If I get 3 seasons out of One Piece, I'd be happy. It'd adapt nearly everything that I want it to.
Even better if it went the extra mile and we got 4 or 5 seasons, but I just really want to see Alabasta and Skypiea done differently.
Reminder that Alabasta Saga will be one season and that Enies Lobby Saga would definitely be one full season too.
That basically means Jaya + Skypiea have to be one season. You can add in something like Davy Back Fight or maybe somehow re-order Thriller Bark, but that's it.
You've been brainrotted by the anime's dogshit pacing, if they do Alabasta with the same pace that they did east blue and cut the fat it will end up like that.

They can reach wano by season 6
The small arcs were the crew bonds with the princess HAS to happen within the "Arabasta" season, and having only three episodes exclusively at Arabasta is more than ok, especially since the "Marines" sideplot (who will be Smoker this time) will converge with the main plot at Mr. Sir Crocodile's revolution.
Then Season 3 HAS to include the Jaya - Skypeia part in the same season as Water7 because in those arcs the crew bonds with Robin and the ship gets damaged by the Upwards Waterfall when going to the Sky islands.
End of season 3 is the crew's dispersion by Kuma at Sabaody.
Start of S4 is a bit of Amazon Lily, a lot of Impel down with Buggy, and three episodes on Marineford (with the actual battle taking place mainly in 1 episode) . So basically 2 set pieces only for such a gigantic series of events.
S5 is Fishman island and Whole cake island should be done together for consistency.
then S6 is Punk Hazard - Dressrosa - Wano, which are more related.
then S7 will air as the last chapter of the manga is about to be released. Ending the franchise at the same time.
Your version of season 3 is shit. It would be way too fucking rushed. >Jaya >Skypeia >Water 7 >Enies Lobby >Thriller Bark >Sabaody
That's almost 300 chapters
Meanwhile you want season 4 to adapt only 70 chapters worth of material.
And your season 6 will combine the two longest arcs in the entire series, it'll be another 300 chapters in one.
Season 1 only adapted 95 chapters and even then there were many things that had to be cut.
I actually factored hype and amount of material into mine, yours is just awful.
9 = Wano (adapting ~149 chapters)
I've got an idea to cut down a shit load if Wano. Get rid of fucking Yamato because that character ended up being completely pointless and ate up way too many chapters

Yeah it would take more work than the average episode but I think it's important enough that they should do it anyway. One of my complaints with season 1 was that it moved a bit too fast to develop some characters well enough and I think Little Garden is a good arc for that.

Tell that to Netflix's budget. >Season 4 can be expanded with Reverie and Marine staff, the key is to have theme consistency within the season. Also you shove in at the end some time skip training.
This shit doesn't make any fucking sense, because what they talk about in the reverie wouldn't have even happened yet. >They added two Kaya episodes to cut costs and added a very dialogue heavy Marine subplot. c'mon man
They didn't extend it they just cut less than they did from other arcs while changing the setting of the fight to the mansion. They also rearranged Zoro's Kuina flashback to be in this arc.
Even then they still cut the little kids Usopp was friends with and the Michael Jackson hypnotist guy.
I'll give you that they added the Garp stuff but it was also a retarded decision, they could've used that time on anything else that they cut.

>skipping arcs
You mean Thriller Bark ? You know that it can be two half episodes that progress the overarching plot of the arc , right ?
What I am saying is that if you prioritize correctly, (crew bonding , and impactful fights) you can fit everything in 6 seasons. Like Thriller Bark, what do you get out of it EXCEPT from Brook's intro (which happens wayyyy too close to the timeskip) and the Zoro - Kuma scene which can happen at THE END OF ANY MAJOR FIGHT !
Good skeleton, but I don't think it will be as straightforward as that. I mean, Sabaody is a huge loredrop, the pacing's really weird if it happens at the end of the season.
Also no hachi, but let's face it, any fucking fishman could've filled that role.
Sabaody Lore-drop ...nothing huge that I remember... remind me ?
Anyhow the Marine sub plot can evolve into Reverie and help with the "huge Lore drop" before the strawhats actually land on the Sabaody grove.
>Then Season 3 HAS to include the Jaya - Skypeia part in the same season as Water7 because in those arcs the crew bonds with Robin and the ship gets damaged by the Upwards Waterfall when going to the Sky islands.
They adapted 100 chapters in 8 hours and now you think they're gonna adapt 250 in 8 hours. You're being delusional.
There was nothing to show off, it was a standard manor setting. It is a classic example of reducing expenses whilst doing some character building through simple dialogue. Same goes for the Marine subplot, it used like 3 sets all the time.
All the seasons can achieve this. How ? well the Marine sub plot should remain, somewhat, but the most major cost cutting is that the crew tends to spend more time on each island as the story progresses. So for Season 5, Fishman and Wholecake, they will have only two types of sets.

If it's not, then Dressrosa can be a single episode about Sabo and the Revolutionaries stopping a Crocodile-like threat, a weird juxtaposition to how the strawhats deal with such threats .

You're just going to move Zou and WCI before dressrosa? What? It's not like big mom isn't part of dressrosa, she's the reason half the crew disappears.

Zoou belongs with Wano.
Basically the only shift is that WholeCake is moved earlier.
Aside from powerlevels, how is anything severly affected ?
Anonymous
The powerlevels aren't irrelevant. That's their first fight against a yonko.
Anonymous
Not what I wanted to focus on, but I can debate.
WholeCake is not brawl like W7 or Wano, it is a series of operations : copy the Poneglyph, poison Big Mom, rescue Sanji.
The only big fight is with two Yonko commanders where one gets nerfed by Nami, and the other stabs himself out of respect, and even (arguably) concedes .
So you tell me if powerlevels are THAT big of an issue if they switch the arcs.

In a vaccum, sure. But Doflamingo was already powercrept to absurd levels to be able to put up a fight in the timeskip despite just being a warlord. His birdcage pushing back a city's worth of admiral-level haki users is the dumbest shit in the franchise. If Luffy struggles with Doffy after having been on par with a fucking yonko 1st mate, there's no suspension of disbelief.

my dear friend, Mihawk is a warlord, too
Also Joker, aka Doflamingo was supposed to be Kaido's Commander ABOVE King and Queen. (what about ACE ?) Having Doffy later on makes more sense powerlevelwise

you can insert this plotpoint at any point in the story, it does not have to take place on the shores of Dressrosa

The amount of cope over this show has been biblical >it’s gonna suck!
It was good >no one is gonna watch it
Everyone watched it >it’ll never have a season 2!
At LEAST 6 seasons being discussed >it will never make it to season 6
To be continued… just shut the fuck up already you little chinless queers lmao
More coping gayry. You’re exactly who I was talking to you fuckin twerp lmao. >”executives can want all they want DEEHHH”
You’ll shut the fuck up and watch the same gay shit you have been while we’re on season 4. Pic related, it’s you posting that mentally challenged comment
Game of Thrones was a show made for white people. One Piece is a show made for brown people, they lose interest and move to the next thing fastly. Give it one more week and nobody will talking about One Piece
Gays of Thrones >muh Ice Zombie that never arrive >muh dicks >muh whores >muh incest >miuh everything is gray and there is no moral compass >muh le hecking him funny midget >muh le hecking puppeteer simp >muh sodomy
Chad Piece >group of retards go on an adventure and it ends badly with funny results
Guezz I wonder.
My biggest fear was that It's gonna suck and everyone will still watch it
Same as with the anime, which is godawful shit, actually one of the worst anime ever produced and everyone still eats it, because the manga it's based on is just that crazy good
One of the things that made the adaptation work so well was the pacing.
Every episode felt like 3 episodes of an anime back-to-back, instead of feeling like they were stretching a 20 minute episode to be an hour long and then cutting a bunch of shit to make it work.
So, assuming they're at all smart, they'll keep that going. And that means they'll keep the story progressing. So instead of long slogs and arcs where the gang get stuck on one island/ship/battle for several episodes, they'll hopefully make sure that none of that shit ever lasts more than 2 episodes.
If they stick to such a simple rule, and cut out the filler and fluff (and stuff that's more effort than it's worth to adapt like chud island), they should be able to get through a giant chunk of the story pretty quickly.
it feels like theyre taking from the manga (the show having almost 50% made out of elongated scenes or straight up filler and made up characters/arcs) that said a lot of people are hoping they include the g8 arc but thats really far fetched
6 season would probably get you to the timeskip. >East Blue >Alabasta >Skypeia >Water 7, Enies Lobby >Thriller Bark, Sabaody, Amazon Lily >Impel Down, Marineford
I watched that back when I caught up to the anime and I fucking hated that movie (as a teen).
Apparently Hosoda directed it? I should rewatch that I think I'd like it more now.
It's automatically worth consideration since it puts the crew in their most dire situation in the series, where they lose faith in each other and drift apart.
Not especially in-character but a fascinating scenario for the characters to go through, when the crew is/always has been about the power of friendship and loyalty. As much as I've seen of the series there hasn't been a villain to target their bonds as friends.
said.
This movie is, as far as I know, the only one with an actual unique art style separate from the show and other movies, a great villain with a cool gimmick and backstory, and fun shenanigans. If this movie was adapted to the manga and put in there post-timeskip it'd be the best arc from that era.
>when you realise that netflix could legitimately revolutionise live-action adaptations, as well as solve the year-long wait between seasons issue, if they adapted the filler movies as well but with different teams meaning that they didn't delay the release of the main show
Good idea or terrible idea?
>1 was shit, kino ending though >2 I personally rather liked, it felt like a really cool way to cap off East Blue with a more serious threat in a grand fantastical location before hitting the grand line >3 was kiddie shit >4 the premise was fantastic probably my favorite like first 20 mins of any the movies, but then it goes to shit >5 was shit >6 is stone cold kino >7 the villain is kind of fun but the rest is meh, noteworthy for being the first "canonical" movie however
8 and 9 were just retreads and I stopped watching the series around the time after that.
There's a reason why they didn't try that again with other arcs kek
I think they had done Drum Island before, but that actually works because it's a short arc. That's about the same pace as the live action show.
TV special
https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Specials
There's one for Arlong Park, Enies Lobby and Dressrosa from Sabos point of view too
The early ones are just filler but the later ones are meant to be recaps for casual fans
people really cannot phatom how much filler the anime has. it is not that hard to contain once you ignore a lot of stuff and use the manga for the meat of the show
also >half my normie friends wanted to get into the story but didnt want to commit to a 1000 ep thing, happy with the netflix show >other half are re/watching the anime and the manga now that interest has resurfaced
this is gonna snowball if you add netflix desperation for a hit and stuff like capeshit fatigue
This little fuck is going to ruin this adaptation. Because he's going to be in every scene, every fight, every conversation, and he's going to look like shit.
Condense Little Garden into Whiskey Peak. Make it a regular town but with BW holding key positions. The dinosaurs are just wax statues used to scare people
away from the place BW is manufacturing Dance Powder. Vivi has been trying to locate it since its the evidence she needs to prove her fathers innocence. Keep the giants and have Mr.3 play them against the Strawhats. Nami can get sick somehow else.
The only way to do this story in 6 seasons is to go with Oda's original plan of going straight to the emperor's. This might not be a popular idea but everything around Doflamingo like Punk Hazard and Dressrosa should be cut
Nah the idea of the live action trying to actually finish the story when the actual manga is far from finished is absurd. The best approach is just to adapt it as far as they can before its inevitably cancelled. The show is really expensive and isn't doing stupid numbers like Wednesday or The Witcher, we'll be lucky to get another season, and I can't see it going beyond 3.
>The show is really expensive and isn't doing stupid numbers like Wednesday or The Witcher, we'll be lucky to get another season
It's topped the netflix charts for like 2 weeks in a row, and the 2nd week actually had higher numbers than the first week.
It's pretty much guaranteed a second season and I expect that will perform better than the first since the first season had normal anime stigma to overcome, as well as all the people who assumed it would be dogshit because of Bebop.
I think 4 seasons is pretty much a given. 6 doesn't seem unrealistic. I don't know if any netflix show has gone on for more than 6 seasons.
>as well as all the people who assumed it would be dogshit because of Bebop.
It is. One Piece fans are just way too easily pleased with them spitting on the source material.
>as well as all the people who assumed it would be dogshit because of Bebop.
It is. One Piece fans are just way too easily pleased with them spitting on the source material.
The adaptation works because One Piece is the best story ever told. Cowboy Bebop isn't even good. I've seen it. Literally babby's first anime. Except I was like 20 when it came out.
IRL I haven’t met a single person into one piece who weren’t l: >shitskins 2 morons and a Mexican all 3 of them caricatures of weebs >a probable retard (he shit his pants in 6th grade, wore his pants halfway up his belly and was fat as shit) like the caricature of a bullied stupid fat kid
Like when I was 10 I thought the idea of a pirate anime was a lot better than Naruto but I couldn’t get into it because I was afraid I’d end up like the 4 people described above. Like 10 year old me literally thought “what if I become like them”
It left with his sense of self-worth and decent taste. He tries luring it back by being a contrarian gay, screaming “moron”, and watching arthouse films that he doesn’t actually like in order to make up for his complete lack of a personality.
What are you talking about ?
Ending the franchise at the same time.
i also gave the jap dub a click through on some scenes and it was quite nice.
The voice cast really toned down their performances to meet the more grounded feeling of the show, it was kind of nice.
One episode will be in the style of the anime or manga >character get less detailed in the background >accurate anime fight scenes >cheesy sound effects >manga panel transitions >scott pligrim don’t blink rule
i’d take this over a one piece movie in the style of spiderverse’s animation
There’s no way it makes it that many seasons with such a poor main cast, chef guy and buggy are the only enjoyable characters, I dunno why Luffys actor opted for such an annoying face and facial expression I hate when he’s on screen, Zoros actor is the worst actor in the show, Nami is bland and boring as fuck as is the actress.
Honestly they probably should’ve cast a woman as luffy he has a round face skinny physique and high pitched voice in the anime and women are generally better at toothy grind
The amount of cope over this show has been biblical >it’s gonna suck!
It was good >no one is gonna watch it
Everyone watched it >it’ll never have a season 2!
At LEAST 6 seasons being discussed >it will never make it to season 6
To be continued… just shut the fuck up already you little chinless queers lmao
>chef guy and buggy are the only enjoyable characters
I can tell you never read or watched One Piece before if you think this version of Sanji is good. They practically neutered my boy.
I agree that Buggy was good though, and so was Usopp. Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Nami are all meh.
That Koby chud is pretty decent too. Mihawk got a lot of praise but I just get edgy 2000s TV magician vibes from him.
Chef guy probably means Zepp, idiot, and I completely agree with him. The only decent parts of the entire show were him, Mihawk and Buggy. Even Garp was ruined.
I can't believe they're toying with the Crocodile theory. That's like the dumbest fucking theory of all time, like Ivankov has turned exactly 1 person into the opposite gender permanently.
this shit dropped off #1 after 5 days in the US
with a 140mil budget
never even managed to get #1 in the UK
it's not getting a second season
>b-but it's still #1 in India and the Philippines, sir! >LISTEN, SIR, BENCHOD!!!
these countries do not matter because a netflix sub costs like 1/10th of its first world price over there
>wow these straw hats must have gotten stronger, can't wait to see how they've improved! >51 chapters of them all just doing every single thing effortlessly instead of what could have been a total of 2
This is some of the worst pacing I've seen in a manga ever.
Lmao. They wasted ~$150 mil and at least twice as much on marketing judging by the sheer amount of shills everywhere It won't even get a second season.
The amount of cope over this show has been biblical >it’s gonna suck!

and just shut the fuck up already, no one thinks you’re intelligent lmao
>filmed during COVID >came out during the writers and actors strikes
They kind of got doubled fucked. It was much more expensive to make the show during COVID, and then when the show came out none of the cast could go promote it.
They probably spent another $200,000,000 with IP rights and more with marketing.
This show is equivalent to a Hollywood blockbuster that didn't break even after its theatrical run. The difference is that Netflix doesn't sell DVDs so they can't break even in 10 years like 99% of blockbusters.
kek, honestly if Hollywood worked the way /misc/ thinks it does then every company would have been bankrupt a long time ago
Do you think the got the IP for free? gays this show was doomed to fail from the beginning. Not crew's fault though, it's Netflix execs themselves that thought it would be bigger than Wednesday
I refuse to watch a single live action anime until the day we get a live action eureka seven. Eureka seven is the most underrated anime ever made and is never talked about cause its always DBZ mexicans and neon genesis fags on /misc/.
Yeah, about that. The fuck are they going to do with Nami if the shows gets renewed by some fucking miracle. Rudd will be, like, 50 by the time they get to season 3.
No arguments? Pretty sure first season of the Witcher was pulling more than 300M hours viewed, you can correct me if I'm wrong. There is no hype here, 2 weeks and viewership remains the same. It's dead.
That's just for week 2. Viewership went up. Why is this board filled with such stupid cunts?

Only a little. It doesn't look good. Next week will be probably the same. not even close to best shows on Netflix. Anyway I'm out, it's obvious you guys are biased.
its implied but oda doesn't really like to write about romances since he primarily writes for young boys who don't care. the exceptions being luffy x hancock and sanji x anybody because those are gags.
>4 out if hundred shows
3/3 examples with sever declines in quality
Cobra Kai might get a 6th one but that started on YouTube so I don’t think it counts.
Disgusting fucking ESL
moron.
No he stays stranded on the island throughout the whole TV series.
/misc/ BTFO as usual. You told me it would be canceled
/misc/ never got anything right. besides when i post
no other netflix show has lasted the supposed 12 seasons they want, even 6 already feels like asking too much, they need to not be greedy, especially oda, and accept changing the story to end it sooner. getting 7 - 8 seasons could be the right move but they would have to address the characters aging up along with the actors and cut a lot of shit, then oda should hurry up and reveal what the treasure is in the manga so that the show ends either showing it the same as the manga or using a different idea he came up with during all these years
One Piece has like 600 chapters of just getting better and better before hitting its first dud. If they remain faithful there's absolutely no way it can fail.
>but they would have to address the characters aging up
If only there was a timeskip.
They'd have to do multiple timeskips to keep up with the age of the actors.
And boob jobs. Does it really matter if years pass instead of weeks? It's hardly a time-sensitive journey.
Still, no reason why they can't change that for the show.
let's shit on a 30yo manga and my life work in order to let some show no one gives a shit to adapt it
But they are already on their way to the last island, and already trading punches with the strongest in the world, worst case would be it takes Oda 5 years to end it.
the manga is starting its final saga but there's still a lot of shit to cover, if the show does get renewed for several seasons, that means oda will be busy again pretty much for the rest of the serialization until the end of the manga, the constant breaks will become a norm and the story will get stretched out even longer, the manga may as well become biweekly if not monthly at certain point
Even with the breaks the Manga has picked up the pace considerably. Egghead is moving like a pre timeskip atc
S1 was perfect. What will be the first thing they fuck up in this show?
TOP CONTENDERS: Dogshit CGI Chopper, skipping Skypeia, refusing to make Usopp dislikeable enough that the Water 7 arc makes fucking sense.
they won't have the budget or time to make alabasta any good, the entire baroque works arc will last 5 episodes at most
Good. Baroque works is way too fucking long. The Mr. 3 fight is where I bailed on One Piece back in 2003 and didn't pick it up again until 2006. Drum can be an episode.
>skipping skypeia
How else are they supposed to get it done in 6 seasons if they don't skip all the filler?
The plan is actually 12 seasons, 6 seasons is just what they have a basic roadmap worked our for already.
>skipping Skypeia
Unfortunately this. Even though it is awesome arc and Enel is incredible villain, it is so self-contained they basically stopped putting any references to it in all other media.
It was great to put crew against endgame enemy this early on.
>endgame enemy this early on.
Who?
t. Only watched the Netflix show
They can't skip Skypiea because Jaya is all about going to the sky island and that introduces characters like Blackbeard and Bellamy.
They might just condense it, maybe 1 episode focusing on Jaya then 2-3 episodes for Skypiea
>then 2-3 episodes for Skypiea
Dude wtf, Skypea is one of the longest arcs, they can't just...nah those fuckers will probably do it.
who cares, it sucks, they should skip it and go straigth to water 7 / enies lobby
tbf Skypiea is pretty needlessly long, they only to need to arrive, establish Enel as a threat, do a little bit of backstory on the sky island conflict, have the gold hunt/face off against the different ordeals, then have Luffy fight Enel.
That sniper guy was on the roof, and he was like "should I take the shot?" I might be misremembering, been 5 or 6 years since I last re-read it.
Keep Ace, Das Bones and maybe the hedgehog girl. And Bon Clay of course. What the fuck are they filling 8 fucking hours with? Riding crabs across the desert?
Don't know if you're the original guy I was replying to, but that guy didn't say it was 4 hours for Alabasta arc, he said it was 4 hours for the entire Alabasta SAGA
>Cool viking giants
>century-long honorable battle to the death
>Usopp being inspired by this
>Teasing Elbaf
>Sanji trolling Crocodile
>Nami going topless for plot reasons
See
Little garden is 100% droppable, both Usopp and Nami can have their situations done elsewhere.
Why? It was well done and it's a short arc. They can adapt it in a single episode.
>Thriller Bark is irrelevant
>Brook joining is irrelevant
>Nami getting Big Mom's vivre card is irrelevant
>Kuma's first appearance + pic related is irrelevant
Do you even read One Piece?
5 is 70 chapters
I meant 4. Amazon Lily, Impel Down, and Marineford isn't that long.
>Also who said the seasons need to be 8 episodes long.
TV shows tend to keep to a certain length for each season to keep engagement up.
>Basically, they ADDED stuff in season 1, any cuts were conscious choices for costs .
This is not true.
Little garden is good but i'm sure you can see how much effort it would take to do for a small intermediate arc. Not worth the effort if you only have 8 episodes to do everything from loguetown to alabasta.
The giants are easy enough, just get some guys in viking costumes in front of a green screen. They can CGI all the dinosaurs
I'm sure you can see how much more work that is than everything else, it's easily droppable nothing has to be done there it can all be moved to another setting.
You haven't red my earlier comments.
Brook joins the crew wayyy too late, the arc should be moved earlier not removed, and downsized (e.g no Oars).
The Kuma moment can happen at the end of any arc.
Seasons can be 10 episodes dumb dumb
Season 4 can be expanded with Reverie and Marine staff, the key is to have theme consistency within the season. Also you shove in at the end some time skip training.
They added two Kaya episodes to cut costs and added a very dialogue heavy Marine subplot. c'mon man
If you remove Oars Thriller Bark is just the fights with Hogback, Absalom, and then Moria eating a bunch of shadows and being punched out.
>I might be misremembering
Yeah you are, I think there's another moment like that later on though
>This statement always confused me. Like sure, he's juxtapositioned against the ultra-cynical pirates in town, but at the same time he's fucking evil and probably trying to capture Luffy, but he just doesn't for some reason.
Not just good people can believe in dreams. He has his own dreams he is willing to die for just like Luffy. When they meet again in Impel Down Blackbeard actually congratulated him for finding the sky island.
And Luffy looks angry when he says it. Makes no sense.
Because Luffy knows Blackbeard was the one that captured Ace and caused this whole mess to begin with. Again, the point is that Blackbeard is a dreamer that happens to be the villain.
In that case they'll probably end up skipping it given that Skypeia doesn't really push the story forward all that massively
Oda would never let them skip an entire arc. Except maybe Davy Backfight.
I hated Jaya back in the day but I recently rewatched it and it's so fucking cool.
Jaya has the best moment in the whole series.
>and that introduces characters like Blackbeard and Bellamy.
they can just change where and how they're introduced like they did with Nami
I believe with Nami the LA was similar to how the anime introduced her whereas the manga waited until Orange Town.
nope, its orange town both times
also the show brought forward Arlong earlier and pretty much cut Don Krieg down to a cameo and it worked.
She's literally in episode 1
https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Episode_1
>Skipping Skypeia
Oh no, the horror. How will I live without 77 episodes of the Shandorians whining, followed by a 1 episode fight where Enel fucks off to the moon instead of being beaten.
Skypeia is supremely based. It's the last true Adventure Piece arc.
Yeah, W7/EL marks the full transition into a standard fare battle manga
And loredumping. Like there's no warlord, no world government, it's just a mysterious fucking island in the sky and it's awesome.
They already showed the government and warlords, but it was always this distant thing some far-away place in the world
>where Enel fucks off to the moon instead of being beaten.
This is legitimately 100x better than every single thing done in post-timeskip.
Nah, Enelfag.
It is. Nothing will compare to Enel realizing that Luffy's power is a hard counter to his "invincible" ability and the fact that Luffy doesn't have to defeat every single bad guy he encounters. It's a truly unique element in a story that eventually turns into what
says.
Nah. Also stop quoting yourself.
Holy fuck you are seething
You?
you are both brown and shills
the only time the series was even remotely palpable was the cp9 arc everything before and after is embarrassing dog shit
>S1 was perfect
stfu shill
fuck you are so baseded out i dont even need to say more
>, refusing to make Usopp dislikeable enough
Likewise. Go away.
>I am blissfully ignorant on how I view Usopp's character during Water 7 so just go away, I don't want to hear how I'm wrong
lmao
they are skipping Skypea. Showrunner Maeda said it will be too costly to adapt
>S1 was perfect
It was much better than expected, but still far from perfect. Usopp got robbed of his first time to shine in his own intro arc, and the themes/groundwork laid during the Baratie arc are basically nonexistent to the point where Sanji joins up on a whim. I also can't think of a good reason to change things so that Nojiko and the rest of the Cocoyashi villagers didn't know about Nami's deal with Arlong, since we lost that emotional payoff of Nami finding out.
>perfect
Aren't there morons?
>S1 was perfect
I can't believe there are people that day this without the slightest hint of irony
>he thinks usopp was dislikeable in water 7
soulless golem
Kek and he started getting pissed at me when I called him a retard for it
>Dogshit CGI Chopper
We'll get a human actor for Choppa.
>b-but muh puppet
No.
enjoy you monkeys and morons lads, no one can stop you really
it would be kino if luffy died at marinford
>End the series and kill the MC off in an arc which NONE of the other Straw Hats are really a part of
Absolutely fucking not.
Imagine if Oda pulls a Miura move. His body is already failing.
>pulls a Miura move
by dying?
you are retarded, he turned luffy from someone that could barely hang with a yonko commander to solo kaido in a single arc
he absolutely is rushing the story which is why wano was fucking terrible
That single arc was longer than all of east blue. And it sure felt like it too.
yes and it took 2 emperors out of the story and made luffy basically end game tier
extremely rushed compared to the previous story
Wano can be both rushed and overly-long.
I hope they do Wano in 3 episodes.
How many freaking flashback and recap episodes do we need?
i care as long as they get to ennies lobby (the most kino saga)
>~~*Adelstein*~~
LMAO!
If they are lucky they can get to Enies Lobby and then end it there. That is kind of the only good ending spot after Alabasta.
It will end with Long Ring Long Land and you will like it
because the one piece is hidden there duh
True
If I get 3 seasons out of One Piece, I'd be happy. It'd adapt nearly everything that I want it to.
Even better if it went the extra mile and we got 4 or 5 seasons, but I just really want to see Alabasta and Skypiea done differently.
Two of those moments were already technically in the show except they were skipped
Inb4 they skip Drum Island
It was a lucky hit, ~~*they*~~ will make sure to turn it into shit in the 2nd season.
>6 seasons
Emily Rudd will be 42 by the end at minimum
It's fine if they get a MILF Robin as well, we can have some MILF on MILF action
Which 2 One Piece girls for a threesome?
Robin is all I need 🙂
you just made me realize theyll probably get the wednesday girl to play perona.
Yamato and Ulti. They can go in their demon form if they want.
S-snake + Boa
S-snake + Atlas
or
Columbus + Chimney
Robin makes a double of herself
Reminder that Alabasta Saga will be one season and that Enies Lobby Saga would definitely be one full season too.
That basically means Jaya + Skypiea have to be one season. You can add in something like Davy Back Fight or maybe somehow re-order Thriller Bark, but that's it.
Alabasta is half a season tops.
1: Loguetown, crossing the red line, laboon
2: Whiskey peak, speedrun all that shitty nonsense until Alabasta
3: Alabasta mid
4: Alabasta climax
You are fucking insane
You've been brainrotted by the anime's dogshit pacing, if they do Alabasta with the same pace that they did east blue and cut the fat it will end up like that.
>if they do Alabasta with the same pace that they did east blue
Yeah, they adapted 95 chapters in 8 hours
You want them to adapt 117 in 4
That's not what "same pace" means.
you can skip unimportant shit like little garden and drum
The only fat in Alabasta is Little Garden, that can be skipped and have Nami get sick for a different reason
My uncle works at Netflix. Here's the plan:
>Season 2 = Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, Drum Island, Alabasta (adapting ~121 chapters)
>Season 3 = Jaya, Skypeia, begin Water 7 but end it at a cliffhanger after Usopp leaves (adapting ~115 chapters)
>Season 4 = Continue Water 7 into Enies Lobby (adapting ~108 chapters)
Even if you restructure it I don't think Thriller Bark would really fit as part of a season tbh, it should just get a film as a Halloween special before the next season.
>Season 5 = Sabaody, entire Summit War saga, end at timeskip (adapting ~108 chapters)
>Season 6 = Timeskip and reunion, Fish-Man Island, Punk Hazard (adapting ~102 chapters)
>Season 7 = Dressrosa (adapting ~102 chapters)
>Season 8 = Zou, Whole Cake Island, Levely is the last episode (adapting ~107 chapters)
>Season 9 = Wano (adapting ~149 chapters)
>Season 10 = Egghead, Elbaf
>Season 11 = ?????????
>Season 12 = ????, Laugh Tale
So basically following the pattern of 1 saga = 1 season except the beginning of Water 7 being added after Skypeia, the Going Merry really takes a beating there after all. And Punk Hazard with Fish-Man Island just because Dressrosa is fucking long.
terrible, no hype
this is better
Your version of season 3 is shit. It would be way too fucking rushed.
>Jaya
>Skypeia
>Water 7
>Enies Lobby
>Thriller Bark
>Sabaody
That's almost 300 chapters
Meanwhile you want season 4 to adapt only 70 chapters worth of material.
And your season 6 will combine the two longest arcs in the entire series, it'll be another 300 chapters in one.
Season 1 only adapted 95 chapters and even then there were many things that had to be cut.
I actually factored hype and amount of material into mine, yours is just awful.
Who knows, she could end up being relevant eventually.
>300 chapters ohh no !
Thriller Bark is irrelevant, search the comments for Thriller Bark in this thread to see why.
Only Punk Hazard needs no reduction, Dressrosa and Wano are bloated. Also by uniting these relevant arcs in the same season, writers can exploit it to make more efficient storytelling.
>season 5 is 70 chapters
whaa.... Fishman + Wholecake ? are you sure ?
Also who said the seasons need to be 8 episodes long.
>season 1 cut a lot !! how can they possible fit MORE chapters ... my peanut brain is gonna explode
untrue and homosexual, check earlier comments to see why. Basically, they ADDED stuff in season 1, any cuts were conscious choices for costs .
Oh and even if you remove Thriller Bark that still leaves 250 chapters for a single season.
Anyway it's retarded not to give Jaya/Skypeia and Water 7/Enies Lobby their own seasons.
No it's retarded to split the themes of a storyline into separate seasons which could be 2years apart irl.
Also whoah oh my god what a complex storyline :
Crew learns of Sky island and pursue to get to it.
It is inhabited by winged humans using weird tech
oh no dictator can thunderstrike you from miles away for wrongthink.
the crew beats the dictator
the bell is rang
Water 7
oh no Merry is busted and Ussop leaves
meet Franky, learn of Pluton
Robin leaves mysteriously
I WANT TO LIVE
Gear secando! beat up CP0
the end
yep totally not 2.5 episodes each, nope, too complex.
>No it's retarded to split the themes of a storyline into separate seasons which could be 2years apart irl.
Is this your first time watching a TV show or something?
Yeah it would take more work than the average episode but I think it's important enough that they should do it anyway. One of my complaints with season 1 was that it moved a bit too fast to develop some characters well enough and I think Little Garden is a good arc for that.
>Brook joins the crew wayyy too late, the arc should be moved earlier not removed, and downsized (e.g no Oars).
Why is it too late? Also you didn't mention Thriller Bark here
, where would you put it?
>The Kuma moment can happen at the end of any arc.
It wouldn't even make sense. Kuma was there to tell Moria about Blackbeard and Ace because he was a warlord. There wouldn't be a reason for him to show up at the end of any previous arc just to fuck up some random pirates.
>Seasons can be 10 episodes dumb dumb
9 = Wano (adapting ~149 chapters)
I've got an idea to cut down a shit load if Wano. Get rid of fucking Yamato because that character ended up being completely pointless and ate up way too many chapters
b..but muh pits
What are you talking about ?
I'm not a post-timeskip hater but I really don't want to see it in live action.
They aren’t skipping arcs. They’re just going to finish at timeskip.
>skipping arcs
They adapted 100 chapters in 8 episodes, by ADDING a Koby sub plot & EXTENDING the Kuro - Usopp arc into 2 episodes.
come on man...
They just wanted to show off the elaborate manor set. The entire arc was ruined by Kaya's actress for me.
Check out the making of video before writing anything else.
The filler movies are awful.
>So for Season 5, Fishman and Wholecake, they will have only two types of sets
I would go straight into Whole Cake after Fishmen island if I were making this. Not that it will ever get that far
y..yes.. that is what I mean
see this post of mine
Fishman and Big Mom should be done together, do I even need to explain why ?
Then Punk Hazard - Dressrosa - Wano should be done together as well.
Dressrosa should be cut entirely. Just move the smile manufacturing to Wano itself.
Dressorsa and wano suffer from the same thing, they are too fucking long
if they cut all unnecessary bullshit, this can be good
Nonsense, Dressrosa suffers from being too long. Wano suffers from being dogshit from start to finish. The former has really good parts to it.
this. also what is even gained from dressrosa apart from the Colosseum plot ?
They should ask Oda if the Grand StrawHat fleet is REAAAALLLY necessary for endgame stuff, not a few allies, the whole Fleet. If it's not, then Dressrosa can be a single episode about Sabo and the Revolutionaries stopping a Crocodile-like threat, a weird juxtaposition to how the strawhats deal with such threats .
yes, see
You're just going to move Zou and WCI before dressrosa? What? It's not like big mom isn't part of dressrosa, she's the reason half the crew disappears.
Zoou belongs with Wano.
Basically the only shift is that WholeCake is moved earlier.
Aside from powerlevels, how is anything severly affected ?
The powerlevels aren't irrelevant. That's their first fight against a yonko.
(what about ACE ?) Having Doffy later on makes more sense powerlevelwise
>oh no Sanji stayed on board the Sunny to protect her and then disappeared
you can insert this plotpoint at any point in the story, it does not have to take place on the shores of Dressrosa
>when you get attacked by the gnostic foreshadowing creature.
The directors themselves said that at 6 seasons they still wouldn't be halfway through One Piece. Get a clue.
kys
wow dressrosa and wano must have a lot of important stuff happen to justify the time the author spent on them!
Yeah.
Season 3 will end of part 1
>UNO PESO
>Nami will be 37 years old by the end of the series
Pain
who was in the wrong here?
who is the big hair bro talking with crocus in one of the covers after the war?
probably gaban since anyone else is pretty unlikely
but looks like Shiki
That’s clearly Killer
One of the funniest bits in the series alongside Luffy with the Zombies and Caribou in the Barrel.
Luffy with the Cerberus zombie and Brook laughing at Sanji and Duval made me laugh like a retard
The amount of cope over this show has been biblical
>it’s gonna suck!
It was good
>no one is gonna watch it
Everyone watched it
>it’ll never have a season 2!
At LEAST 6 seasons being discussed
>it will never make it to season 6
To be continued… just shut the fuck up already you little chinless queers lmao
You're the one coping here. Executives can want as many seasons as they want, doesn't mean that Netflix will give them
More coping gayry. You’re exactly who I was talking to you fuckin twerp lmao.
>”executives can want all they want DEEHHH”
You’ll shut the fuck up and watch the same gay shit you have been while we’re on season 4. Pic related, it’s you posting that mentally challenged comment
its the next game of thrones (good or bad) and the only people that are still in denial are chuds
Game of Thrones was a show made for white people. One Piece is a show made for brown people, they lose interest and move to the next thing fastly. Give it one more week and nobody will talking about One Piece
The walking dead was also made for brown people and look how long that went on for
it's not even close to got you doublemoron, maybe it is as good as season 8
fag
Gays of Thrones
>muh Ice Zombie that never arrive
>muh dicks
>muh whores
>muh incest
>miuh everything is gray and there is no moral compass
>muh le hecking him funny midget
>muh le hecking puppeteer simp
>muh sodomy
Chad Piece
>group of retards go on an adventure and it ends badly with funny results
Guezz I wonder.
My biggest fear was that It's gonna suck and everyone will still watch it
Same as with the anime, which is godawful shit, actually one of the worst anime ever produced and everyone still eats it, because the manga it's based on is just that crazy good
It's Netflix, they might ruin it in S2.
The other seasons will be at least 10 eps each
?si=aoHt32AH9zbRIl87&t=13
I wept for the set designers, seeing them make these elaborate sets that's used for like half an episode. That Alivda ship is NOT coming back.
it feels like theyre taking from the manga (the show having almost 50% made out of elongated scenes or straight up filler and made up characters/arcs) that said a lot of people are hoping they include the g8 arc but thats really far fetched
No, they're adapting the anime. Like starting on Alvida's ship with Luffy popping out of a barrel, and early Nami.
Zeff leg was manga
And Luffy stabbing his eye. But that was just censorship, right?
6 season would probably get you to the timeskip.
>East Blue
>Alabasta
>Skypeia
>Water 7, Enies Lobby
>Thriller Bark, Sabaody, Amazon Lily
>Impel Down, Marineford
Reminder that Alabasta was crammed into a 90 minute movie.
What's it like? All the (3) OP movies I've seen have been dogshit.
I liked Z movie.
Which 3 did you see?
6 is legitimate kino
I watched that back when I caught up to the anime and I fucking hated that movie (as a teen).
Apparently Hosoda directed it? I should rewatch that I think I'd like it more now.
It's automatically worth consideration since it puts the crew in their most dire situation in the series, where they lose faith in each other and drift apart.
Not especially in-character but a fascinating scenario for the characters to go through, when the crew is/always has been about the power of friendship and loyalty. As much as I've seen of the series there hasn't been a villain to target their bonds as friends.
What
said.
This movie is, as far as I know, the only one with an actual unique art style separate from the show and other movies, a great villain with a cool gimmick and backstory, and fun shenanigans. If this movie was adapted to the manga and put in there post-timeskip it'd be the best arc from that era.
lol this poster is so dissonant with how dark the movie is, practically a horror film towards the end
Yeah it's actually really good. I like that kind of tonal shift, the whole color palette reflects that too. Oda could never.
>when you realise that netflix could legitimately revolutionise live-action adaptations, as well as solve the year-long wait between seasons issue, if they adapted the filler movies as well but with different teams meaning that they didn't delay the release of the main show
Good idea or terrible idea?
>1 was shit, kino ending though
>2 I personally rather liked, it felt like a really cool way to cap off East Blue with a more serious threat in a grand fantastical location before hitting the grand line
>3 was kiddie shit
>4 the premise was fantastic probably my favorite like first 20 mins of any the movies, but then it goes to shit
>5 was shit
>6 is stone cold kino
>7 the villain is kind of fun but the rest is meh, noteworthy for being the first "canonical" movie however
8 and 9 were just retreads and I stopped watching the series around the time after that.
yeah and it sucks
There's a reason why they didn't try that again with other arcs kek
I think they had done Drum Island before, but that actually works because it's a short arc. That's about the same pace as the live action show.
They did Skypeia as well. Which I think was better
T-there's a Skypeia movie?
TV special
https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Specials
There's one for Arlong Park, Enies Lobby and Dressrosa from Sabos point of view too
The early ones are just filler but the later ones are meant to be recaps for casual fans
people really cannot phatom how much filler the anime has. it is not that hard to contain once you ignore a lot of stuff and use the manga for the meat of the show
also
>half my normie friends wanted to get into the story but didnt want to commit to a 1000 ep thing, happy with the netflix show
>other half are re/watching the anime and the manga now that interest has resurfaced
this is gonna snowball if you add netflix desperation for a hit and stuff like capeshit fatigue
What a soulless poster holy shit.
Incredibly strange to hear normal people discussing the anime of my childhood. Like people know about Kuro's cat siblings now.
This little fuck is going to ruin this adaptation. Because he's going to be in every scene, every fight, every conversation, and he's going to look like shit.
If they go with a real actor it'll be a lot easier than cgi or a puppet
He will stay in human form most of the time
Condense Little Garden into Whiskey Peak.
Nami can get sick somehow else.
chopper will wrap this up as a hit like baby yoda. and netflix will go full retard just like disney did.
?feature=shared&t=117
idk why it cracks me up that the one time he can't ask for panties he asks to borrow money instead. Like what a fucking terrible person.
I couldn't convince a single non-OP fan to watch this show with me.
The only way to do this story in 6 seasons is to go with Oda's original plan of going straight to the emperor's. This might not be a popular idea but everything around Doflamingo like Punk Hazard and Dressrosa should be cut
Or they stop at the timeskip like any sane person can figure out.
I find it extremely unlikely that Oda will stop adapting his work halfway through.
I think that's the best idea
It is. One Piece fans are just way too easily pleased with them spitting on the source material.
seethe moar
You know they don't actually pay you for comments like this? You need to actually give it excessive and obnoxious praise.
Nah.
The adaptation works because One Piece is the best story ever told. Cowboy Bebop isn't even good. I've seen it. Literally babby's first anime. Except I was like 20 when it came out.
IRL I haven’t met a single person into one piece who weren’t l:
>shitskins 2 morons and a Mexican all 3 of them caricatures of weebs
>a probable retard (he shit his pants in 6th grade, wore his pants halfway up his belly and was fat as shit) like the caricature of a bullied stupid fat kid
Like when I was 10 I thought the idea of a pirate anime was a lot better than Naruto but I couldn’t get into it because I was afraid I’d end up like the 4 people described above. Like 10 year old me literally thought “what if I become like them”
Didn't ask, don't care. But you sound insecure and annoying.
>only shitskins like this
where is his chin
It left with his sense of self-worth and decent taste. He tries luring it back by being a contrarian gay, screaming “moron”, and watching arthouse films that he doesn’t actually like in order to make up for his complete lack of a personality.
see this
>mfw the Japanese dub
Fucking nostalgia overload, holy shit.
Apparently they couldn't get Arlong's VA, but everyone else, goddamn.
i also gave the jap dub a click through on some scenes and it was quite nice.
The voice cast really toned down their performances to meet the more grounded feeling of the show, it was kind of nice.
One episode will be in the style of the anime or manga
>character get less detailed in the background
>accurate anime fight scenes
>cheesy sound effects
>manga panel transitions
>scott pligrim don’t blink rule
i’d take this over a one piece movie in the style of spiderverse’s animation
>Gear 5 Luffy is animated like an anime character but with Roger Rabbit shading
KINO KINO KINO KINO KINO
they wouldn't be about to pull it off
the budget would explode
There’s no way it makes it that many seasons with such a poor main cast, chef guy and buggy are the only enjoyable characters, I dunno why Luffys actor opted for such an annoying face and facial expression I hate when he’s on screen, Zoros actor is the worst actor in the show, Nami is bland and boring as fuck as is the actress.
Honestly they probably should’ve cast a woman as luffy he has a round face skinny physique and high pitched voice in the anime and women are generally better at toothy grind
See
you fuckin gay lol
He’s right. There’s no denying it’s popular but the acting is straight up terrible.
>chef guy and buggy are the only enjoyable characters
I can tell you never read or watched One Piece before if you think this version of Sanji is good. They practically neutered my boy.
I agree that Buggy was good though, and so was Usopp. Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Nami are all meh.
That Koby chud is pretty decent too. Mihawk got a lot of praise but I just get edgy 2000s TV magician vibes from him.
Chef guy probably means Zepp, idiot, and I completely agree with him. The only decent parts of the entire show were him, Mihawk and Buggy. Even Garp was ruined.
>Chef guy probably means Zepp
I can tell you never read it either because it's ZEFF.
There are about 250 named characters in the manga, do you really expect me to memorize them all? gay
the guy that plays the fishman pirate is just acting like how tom hardy did in mad max fury road and tdkr
I can't believe they're toying with the Crocodile theory. That's like the dumbest fucking theory of all time, like Ivankov has turned exactly 1 person into the opposite gender permanently.
It's not that bad a theory since we know Ivankov can change genders and he knows Crocodiles secret.
It's Crocomom that's retarded
Do normalfags even know that East Blue is the least good part of One Piece
Yes
I sent them all an email last week
nah, Nami's arc is better than anything post-timeskip
They shouldn't even make a season 2
pre timeskip robin is so much hotter and i'm tired of pretending she's not
Nope, but she is hot regardless, however Wokeflix will cover her tummy therefore getting a live action adaptation is pointless
this shit dropped off #1 after 5 days in the US
with a 140mil budget
never even managed to get #1 in the UK
it's not getting a second season
>b-but it's still #1 in India and the Philippines, sir!
>LISTEN, SIR, BENCHOD!!!
these countries do not matter because a netflix sub costs like 1/10th of its first world price over there
narusharter
OP manga connoisseur
I've started reading this shit in Banzai! before you were born
You will never be white.
>one piece shill
you are brown
>t
no no no, bad juan, bad juan!
How would (You) adapt him?
I'd cut him and make Doflamingo the antagonist of Fishmen Island
There's potential in that, sell it to me.
>wow these straw hats must have gotten stronger, can't wait to see how they've improved!
>51 chapters of them all just doing every single thing effortlessly instead of what could have been a total of 2
This is some of the worst pacing I've seen in a manga ever.
test
I hope they don't cut Paulie like most of the vidya games.
Lmao. They wasted ~$150 mil and at least twice as much on marketing judging by the sheer amount of shills everywhere It won't even get a second season.
>Shills
This has become a fucking buzzword at this point
K, shill.
So much this. A fucking netflix anime adaptation breaking even on a $450 mil. budget? Bitch, please.
>$450 mil. budget?
We're at that stage of cope now? This is going exactly like the fucking Barbie threads
>so much this
Ew gay you missed your HRT tips thread on Reddit. You little future suicide statistic.
Rent free.
See
and just shut the fuck up already, no one thinks you’re intelligent lmao
See what? Your desperate shilling attempts?
>shill
>cope shill

If you like One Piece you are brown
>it wont even get a second season cuz numbers amiright guys?
Why is /misc/ full of retards that never get anything right in their life?
It's not confirmed, dumbass. They WANT to do 6 season it wasn't green-lit yet. And it won't be.
They just don't have any copes left.
>filmed during COVID
>came out during the writers and actors strikes
They kind of got doubled fucked. It was much more expensive to make the show during COVID, and then when the show came out none of the cast could go promote it.
They probably spent another $200,000,000 with IP rights and more with marketing.
This show is equivalent to a Hollywood blockbuster that didn't break even after its theatrical run. The difference is that Netflix doesn't sell DVDs so they can't break even in 10 years like 99% of blockbusters.
This is literally the most made up nonsense post I’ve seen all day. Where the fuck do you psueds get this shit?
What's wrong with his post
kek, honestly if Hollywood worked the way /misc/ thinks it does then every company would have been bankrupt a long time ago
Do you think the got the IP for free? gays this show was doomed to fail from the beginning. Not crew's fault though, it's Netflix execs themselves that thought it would be bigger than Wednesday
so are you a salty Wednesday fan or something?
I'm absolutely mad because you are saying that this show is getting another season (or 6 another seasons) when clearly is not
Hope you're looking forward to having this argument in 2 years
Mate, leave the doomposters be.
if they don't adapt this in live action it's over
I refuse to watch a single live action anime until the day we get a live action eureka seven. Eureka seven is the most underrated anime ever made and is never talked about cause its always DBZ mexicans and neon genesis fags on /misc/.
>eureka seven
coral tranime for chuds
Holy shit lol, they've bribed this gay too. Even Disney doesn't sunk to this level yet. garden gnomeflix is in sheer fucking desperation mode rn.
It was Impossible to fail with Nami being so cute like that
>30 yo postwall hag
>cute
Yeah, about that. The fuck are they going to do with Nami if the shows gets renewed by some fucking miracle. Rudd will be, like, 50 by the time they get to season 3.
Emily Rudd is 30 but she looks like she's 25. You gotta agree that she aged very well
She looks 38. And that's with me being generous.
I hope my wife looks that good at 38
Post some 30yo woman that you consider that aged well. And by the way post a 38yo woman too.
I wish my gf looked that good at 30
One Piece fans are so insanely delusional that they can't even look at reality in it's true form.
No, anime can introduce filler.
It could but it wont, not with this mediocre numbers, even fucking Witcher has better viewership.
It didn't, though?
One piece has 145,700,000 hours viewed in second week. 2 weeks and no change. It's really over.
You dumb bastard
No arguments? Pretty sure first season of the Witcher was pulling more than 300M hours viewed, you can correct me if I'm wrong. There is no hype here, 2 weeks and viewership remains the same. It's dead.
lol dumb gay. That's viewership for just week 2, not 1 and 2 combined.
source
Straight from Netflix.
https://www.netflix.com/tudum/top10/tv
That's just for week 2. Viewership went up. Why is this board filled with such stupid cunts?
Only a little. It doesn't look good. Next week will be probably the same. not even close to best shows on Netflix. Anyway I'm out, it's obvious you guys are biased.
>Nojiko has tan in anime so she's a moron
>Robin has super tan in anime so she's a ...
They whitewashed Monkey D. Garp. There's still hope
garden gnomeflix just can't resist the urge.
Does this happen in the anime or manga?
its implied but oda doesn't really like to write about romances since he primarily writes for young boys who don't care. the exceptions being luffy x hancock and sanji x anybody because those are gags.
Nope.
