>adventure in an adventure is filler
anime 'fans' are truly the biggest retards on the fucking planet jesus christ
The Jaya part is a critical turning point of the story (introduce Bellamy, Dofly, BlackBeard and his buddies, Whitebeard and the four emperors as a concept).
But yes, for the moment plotwise the actuall Skypeia part of the arc is a isolated storyline with little consequences for the general plot.
>Why do you think he got one of the most extended cover stories? >Good chance Raftel is on the moon >The Enel tease panel during the Wano arc followed up by Oda admitting in an SBS later that he deliberately made the silhouette look like Enel
Yeah he's coming back m8e
>>The Enel tease panel during the Wano arc followed up by Oda admitting in an SBS later that he deliberately made the silhouette look like Enel
what panel my nigga?
>Skip Skypeis >Enies Lobby and Water 7 as one season >Condense Sabody and Jurassic Bark into one season and cut the Supernovas >Marineford & Impel Down as one season
>cut the supernovas
nigga Law is like the second or third most popular character and he isn't even a Straw Hat (first two being Luffy and Zoro)
Law is essential part of post-TS OP
Its the most and least important arc in One Piece. It introduced important characters and orobably the most important plot element and how Gold Roger was chasing after those stone tablets that hold knowledge to the forgotten history of the world that the World Government is trying to hide.
since you're the type of idiot who will actually watch this tripe, them adapting X or Y arc or not will have no consequence for you since you're so stupid you will eat up whatever they shit out
read the fucking comic
The Netflix adaption is the reason why I ever got into one piece, i knew about the anime and the comics for years but never really looked into it, anime just isn't for me, i understood who these characters are because of the Netflix show.
I liked it.
As fun as Skypiea was, it was one of the first arcs I noticed dragging a little bit, I think it's one of the arcs that could use some trimming, but anyone saying to cut it, especially saying "muh filler" are mega autists not to be taken seriously
I'm still slogging through dressrosa in the cartoon. Holy fucking shit its ass. I'm not spoilering this - if anyone is up to late dressrosa just fastforward every scene where people are running from the birdcage and the 10 episodes or so where every second scene is bellamy is just bouncing around. Spirit bombs go off quicker than this shit.
The dressrosa arc is one the worst offenders when it comes to the anime taking a fat shit on the manga
Dressrosa is absolute kino in the manga and blows any other post timeskip arc that came before it out of the water but to be fair there isn't much competition
The pacing of the Dressrosa anime is the worst. Over 100 episodes long and the entire arc takes place over a day. I’m pretty sure there was one episode that was 90% of Burgess doing his signature laugh.
The pacing of the Dressrosa anime is the worst. Over 100 episodes long and the entire arc takes place over a day. I’m pretty sure there was one episode that was 90% of Burgess doing his signature laugh.
the manga pace is shit too but i really like Dressrosa
this happens every time a new One Piece thing happens, it happend during Alabasta, it happened during Water7 and Enies Lobby, it happened during the Marineford war, the timeskip etc. 90% of them fall off because the fucking thing is just too long. They always bugger off.
>peacful native sky people who are literal angels get oppressed and colonized by evil blonde man with god complex and his followers
you already know they wont miss this golden opportunity to insert their politics to the fullest into this arc for an audience this large
Enel's so singularly autistic and out for himself that It would actually be a betrayal of the source to try and make it a "message". So far the show's kept things a lot less pozzy than most other adaptations, it could change though. I can't blame anyone from assuming the worst.
>peacful native sky people who are literal angels get oppressed and colonized by evi
The Sky People are the colonizers anon. They kicked the Shandorians off their land after killing most of them.
Anyone in favour of skipping it is a retard. Just imagine Robin's arc if we go straight from her joining the crew to betraying the crew. That would make no sense and her investment in the crew would come out of nowhere.
I finished marineford recently and stalled a bit on fishman. Should I keep going? I don't really like the character changes but if some of the newer arcs are good I'll keep on slogging
Fishman is genuinely a slog to get through. But there are some decent arcs ahead.
If you're watching the anime, make sure that you're watching One Pace or the otherwise "recut" versions available online. Don't watch the normal anime, you will be put to sleep.
Fishmen Isle is a well know slog. But the general pacing of the saga really became a slog with overly long and convoluted arcs with too many characters. Continue only if you are reading the manga because the anime (unless you Watch the One Pace fan project) its a miserable experience
Skypea is one of the most piratey arcs in one piece! The lost city of gold/Aztec/skull island setting, violent and aggressive local tribesmen, for a change they are actually looking for treasure too and the arc begins with a character called “Blackbeard”.
That's a poo, mmmm I think... I remember it's a /a/ meme, some poo posted something about Sanji staying with Nami at the end of the series on /misc/ because they are white... and that post reached /a/, and they started calling all the fans of sanji, Sanjeets
>Strawhats arent even pirates >neither are the "good guy" pirates like Shanks
What the fuck is the point of this series when everyones a pirate except the important characters?
I'm gonna go ahead and say it, the marineford arc really wasn't that good and marked the beginning of a slow but steady decline of quality
Switching the focus from adventure to trying to cram as many important characters as possible in every chapter was a mistake
>expect live action Sanji to be french or at the very least an american or a canadian doing a shitty french accent >he's a chav from london >he's great anyway
A british guy being portrayed as a great cook still rubs me wrong and he should definitely have more flirty lines but I'm surprised at how much he grew on me
>Enel back in his intro was a major threat >he would have killed everyone if Luffy didn't counter him >still won anyway since his ship could somehow reach the Moon in a few weeks/months
But now if he returned even nonamed goons could trash on him thanks to CoO and CoA
At the current pace the show is made I doubt we'll even get there
Have faith
it's practically filler even though it's in the manga. skip it.
jesus christ
What? It’s true. Prove me wrong
>adventure in an adventure is filler
anime 'fans' are truly the biggest retards on the fucking planet jesus christ

Enel already is all but confirmed to be coming back as one of the endgame bosses in the manga... so not really
Why would Enel come back? He is having the time of his life out there in space.
They're going to the Moon before Laugh Tale.
>Why do you think he got one of the most extended cover stories?
>Good chance Raftel is on the moon
>The Enel tease panel during the Wano arc followed up by Oda admitting in an SBS later that he deliberately made the silhouette look like Enel
Yeah he's coming back m8e
Source?
>>The Enel tease panel during the Wano arc followed up by Oda admitting in an SBS later that he deliberately made the silhouette look like Enel
what panel my nigga?
that's what flashbacks are for
Enel speedran his way to fucking Laugh Tale. The guy found an ancient kingdom and forgotten history. The final island is obviously the moon
>Skip Skypeis
>Enies Lobby and Water 7 as one season

Law is essential part of post-TS OP
Now that it's a proven success they should make 10 season episodes
>skip certain parts of the story
why are you even watching it in the first place?
Isn’t Skypiea basically filler ?
Jaya is the leadin arc and that introduces Blackbeard and the World Government looking for a Crocodile replacement
Its the most and least important arc in One Piece. It introduced important characters and orobably the most important plot element and how Gold Roger was chasing after those stone tablets that hold knowledge to the forgotten history of the world that the World Government is trying to hide.
I doubt they'll skip anything major. I wouldn't be surprised if season 2 is all about Chopper only reaches the beginning of Arabasta.
why do old women love the luffy actor
skypiea is an S tier Arc
Prove it
Prove it's not
It’s filler
It was until it was later revealed that all the characters enel had supposedly struck with lighting were still alive at the end.
since you're the type of idiot who will actually watch this tripe, them adapting X or Y arc or not will have no consequence for you since you're so stupid you will eat up whatever they shit out
read the fucking comic
What the fuck is wrong with you shithead ?
esl retards like you are the target audience for this garbage
The Netflix adaption is the reason why I ever got into one piece, i knew about the anime and the comics for years but never really looked into it, anime just isn't for me, i understood who these characters are because of the Netflix show.
I liked it.
grim
same for me
To be fair Toei is a dogshit studio
As fun as Skypiea was, it was one of the first arcs I noticed dragging a little bit, I think it's one of the arcs that could use some trimming, but anyone saying to cut it, especially saying "muh filler" are mega autists not to be taken seriously

Will they adapt Amazon Lily?
Yes but half are going to be black and fat, like the "people" who watch this shit
If they do, a lot of them will be fat, black, trans, and ugly, oh and any attractive ones will be covered it.
>covered it.
*covered up.
its so sad that a bunch of homosexuals are going to start claiming to be one piece fans now because transflix came out with a show to leech off of it.
this happens every time a new One Piece thing happens, it happend during Alabasta, it happened during Water7 and Enies Lobby, it happened during the Marineford war, the timeskip etc. 90% of them fall off because the fucking thing is just too long. They always bugger off.

>peacful native sky people who are literal angels get oppressed and colonized by evi
The Sky People are the colonizers anon. They kicked the Shandorians off their land after killing most of them.
The Lunarians are the colonisers, the Sky People are just the result of them inbreeding with the humans of earth.
Enel is a Sky people member too. He Just came from a different Sky Island with his gang and unlike them he lost his wings for unknown reasons
I always imagined that he had surgically replaced them with these drums because it was something to do with the Japanese god Raijin
Anyone in favour of skipping it is a retard. Just imagine Robin's arc if we go straight from her joining the crew to betraying the crew. That would make no sense and her investment in the crew would come out of nowhere.
Why does Skypiea considered a filler? Davy Back game or even the whole Foxy Pirate arc is one, Skypiea is not
>Badmouthing foxy
>Esl
>Davy Back game or even the whole Foxy Pirate arc is one,
Davy Back is how Luffy will prove he has a better crew than Shanks.
ACTUALLY the theme of the davy back fight was saving a crewmate, which is what the entire next saga was about, so it leads right into the next story
they should kill anyone who watch hollywoodnime pozzed slop
daily reminder, that only browns like One Piece of shit
You are brown! B-R-O-W-N!
That's simply not true. I'm white and I love One Piece. And the live action is better than I thought.
my skin is the whitest in the world and I like it.
I dropped the manga at Skypeia.
Going from the decent Alabasta arc to that lame shit was disgusting.
I finished marineford recently and stalled a bit on fishman. Should I keep going? I don't really like the character changes but if some of the newer arcs are good I'll keep on slogging

is it entertaining for people that have never seen anime in their whole life
Adapt it. It's a goof arc that filtered many people.
Skypea is one of the most piratey arcs in one piece! The lost city of gold/Aztec/skull island setting, violent and aggressive local tribesmen, for a change they are actually looking for treasure too and the arc begins with a character called “Blackbeard”.
do it for him
someone post Nami, sirs
What does a black Sanji even mean?
who knows?
I COOK FOR HER
That's a poo, mmmm I think... I remember it's a /a/ meme, some poo posted something about Sanji staying with Nami at the end of the series on /misc/ because they are white... and that post reached /a/, and they started calling all the fans of sanji, Sanjeets

cast her
Ed from Cowboy Bebop
>Strawhats arent even pirates
>neither are the "good guy" pirates like Shanks
What the fuck is the point of this series when everyones a pirate except the important characters?
Post some live action kino. Here's an example.
Notice how everything in this picture is reversed. This is not a coincidence. Absolute kino adaptation.
I'm gonna go ahead and say it, the marineford arc really wasn't that good and marked the beginning of a slow but steady decline of quality
Switching the focus from adventure to trying to cram as many important characters as possible in every chapter was a mistake
Marineford wasn't that good, but the arcs of the entire Summit War saga are 10/10
Sabaody, Amazon Lily and Impel Down are the best part of One Piece
Morning Emilybros aka namibros
Good Morning
Can't she just look like this in the show? Why the dumb wig?
it's not orange enough
Fuck that. Usopp doesn't have a long sausage nose and Sanji doesn't have a curly eyebrow but they look fine
They're retarded. Sanji is also a wig
skip skypiea, but adapt jaya. jaya is too important.
I hadn't noticed that OP always posts an image with Ussop out of the shot, that's based ngl
>expect live action Sanji to be french or at the very least an american or a canadian doing a shitty french accent
>he's a chav from london
>he's great anyway
A british guy being portrayed as a great cook still rubs me wrong and he should definitely have more flirty lines but I'm surprised at how much he grew on me
He's the only member of the crew that seems natural
The others aren't terrible but they feel "off"
I like moody/edgy Zoro, his fights were suprisingly decent too
Agreed on the rest of the crew
>expect live action Sanji to be french
correct, the actor's name is Tarek Yassin
Made me chuckle but you know what they say about throwing stones in glass houses my american friend
>A british guy being portrayed as a great cook still rubs me wrong
Huh
Exactly, Ramsay is a minstrel, not a cook
>Enel back in his intro was a major threat
>he would have killed everyone if Luffy didn't counter him
>still won anyway since his ship could somehow reach the Moon in a few weeks/months
But now if he returned even nonamed goons could trash on him thanks to CoO and CoA
They should adapt Skypiea to get Americans to think about the anti-colonization themes
This
The citizens of Skypiea should be depicted as brave people of color struggling under the tyranny of a white man with a god complex
Shandians are Native Americans. Skypieans are white colonizers. Enel is a fascist like Trump
>Nami's actor is already 30 which means she'll be 40 by season 4
zoro is bad casting
imagine casting a kpop idol for a chad swordsman
>second season is not as well received
>renewed it for one more season
>it ends with Skypiea as Oda originally intented
