Ever since the sequel trilogy the lightsabers have actual LEDs in them. It's a good idea, but the lighting on the actors is WAY too blue. They should have made half of them blue and half of them white.

instead of just a thin stick that they use to put CGI on later they are now actual glow sticks now that emit light, which is kinda cool, because it illuminates the characters as well, but they make them too bright and thick in post, so they look like batons instead of swords, they should tone down the CGI

What the frick? Now I am actually curious about watching Kenobi.
Is this just some sort of flashback scene or what?
Why can't we get a full series of this instead of some bullshit that's been going on for the last four episodes?

          Anonymous

It's a flashback scene sprinkled through one episode. The scene might be 2 min long when all put together. They really missed the mark by introducing the corporate-mandated diversity hires and powerful female characters, they waltz through the plot with everything magically falling into place for them and really subtract from what should've been the core of the series (Kenobi and Anakin). Plus the direction and overall budget feel of the series is really sub-par and jarring most of the time. Disney are moronic.

        >it interweaves the narrative beats throughout the episode
It's something that should have been done throughout the entire series. Kenobi having flashbacks to unseen moments with Anakin should have been the opening shot and continued throughout. Each episode having a moment from the past that intertwines with the present. Helping Obi-Wan process his grief.

There's so much being left on the table with this series. Obi Wan will probably end on a high note but it's one of the most poorly written pieces of media I've seen since, well, Rise of Skywalker.

the only slight credit i can give the show is that it's not as bad as it could be considering the original scripts were torn up just before production was meant to start and it has had a rocky development history being put on hiatus multiple times. it feels weirdly cheap as well so i'd be curious to know what the actual budget was.
i don't know who deborah chow but it feels like she doesn't know what's she doing very well. there's a weird disconnect between what the show wants you to feel and what you actually feel. taking tala for example, we barely know her and she gets this epic send off with the swelling music and it's like we barely know her or care about her. she said saw the empire be mean big whoop. not to mention the weird pacing where the shoehorn in humor randomly. frick that fake jedi guy. delete him from the show

this is literally the only scene from Kenobi I genuinely liked. deage Hayden a bit and put him in Clone Wars series. each episode could be a different battle.
I would actually watch it on Disney. but even they might frick that up.

overall Kenobi isn't very good but the Anakin scene killed it.

it was a great scene. i liked the bit with vader crushing the ship as well though it obviously begs the question why doesn't he just do that all time but lets not bother going down that rabbit hole. i can't remember anything from the previous 4 episodes i liked that much. maybe the ghost of anakin that obi wan saw for a bit and owen lars mogging reva
