One was almost pure, unadulterated feminist fantasy slop story about a fanatical patriarchal society stealing and subjecting femininity to male domination, and it's escape and flight to a literal fertile and luscious Green Place ran by smart women, with consultation on set by a feminist writer who wrote The vegana Monologues.

The other was Furiosa.

At the end of mad max, it would take 6 months for Furiosa to be assassinated or the resources to be squandered or stolen. The war boys would rebel immediately after the closing credits.

I doubt Miller would agree with you. We don't get any indication as to what will happen in the near future for the new Citadel in lieu whatever you're trying to headcanon. The movie just ends with the girls being literally lifted to the sky to take over and administer Joe's society.

Why would they rebel? Furiosa was one of their highest officers and she's bringing them pussy. Life might be better for them under her stinky toes.

Joe is literally their god. They jump off cliffs to their death just at his say so, because they believe they'll party with him in Valhalla. Furiosa wouldn't have an easy time just rewriting their entire dogma and brainwashing.

There have been many defied leaders of people who died and the remaining followers weren't lost in a suicidal sea of meaningless. Nux is the perfect example of showing you how the War Boys aren't all literally brainwashed and insane. All it took was his god disapproving of his ability to turn his back on the entire thing.

There's a plethora of different ways the society can be reconstituted, it's nobody's fault but your own if you can't think of any scenario that isn't "everything's fricked and will be destroyed." You're forgetting the majority of the people flocked to the Citadel because of food and water, not a sense of Joe being their literal god.

      >The war boys would rebel immediately after the closing credits.
Yeah this. I can't remember if there were war boys in the citidel at the end of Fury Road, but if there were a bunch left alive, what we saw in Furiosa was they were controlled by seeing Immortan Joe as a Pope like figure, without their religion, how could they be controlled. Furiosa couldn't just charm them all like she did with Nux.

Bringing the head of the previous dead leader is clear and specific imagery of a change in command in the world where the strong rule the weak. "I killed Joe, I'm your leader now." You're forgetting she was an extremely high ranked and respected person within Joe's paramilitary, and conveniently we're not given an explanation to why she came this far up in the totem pole in Fury Road we're supposed to just accept it.

we're given no reason for why it was. it could be ecological, could be through conflict, could be mismanagement. Miller doesn't tell us at all.

    >hey you know this beloved series mad max?
    >let's make another one except without the main character
    >let's make it a prequel entirely centered around some one off character nobody cares about
Bravo. That worked out real well. Who could have forseen this not being success?

      >the main character who serves exclusively as a vehicle for the plot and secondary character
George Miller has suggested MULTIPLE times that the character of Max might not be the same person in each movie. He's literally just a vehicle we see the plot through. The stories are almost never about him as a character, it's the setting and things he's seeing and engaging in.

Weirdly they show 2 origins to that. At first she puts oil on her face to hide from Joe's moronic rapist son but then later it's revealed that all war rig drivers wear black makeup, I guess it's inverse War Boy makeup, yeah.

i feel like it needed a scene where one guy tries to rape a her and Jack beats him.

the movie is like 30 minutes too long

Why wouldn't we have needed an attempted raping of Furiosa in Fury Road then? We're shown Jack is highly ranked and respected by the War Boys and presumably everyone else in Joe's army. It makes perfect sense and you can already headcanon this scene, for whatever reason.

Warboys are pure and NOT for rape

all the women living down there were all deformed or old, ugly, and furiosa is this beautiful perfect petite little woman with nice long hair, and no one freaks out?
and somehow Joe doesnt hear that this beautiful perfect young girl is living down there? and he doesnt try to get her as wife?

and everyone just accepts that this beautiful young thin girl is just sleeping in the ground?

and how is jack so powerful that he can just have her and no one questions wheres she from?

The Green Place aka Feminist Utopia failed, so the only solution is steal what the man has.
But conversely they'll probably destroy it too, given they can't manage anything.
So maybe Fury Road is accidently based?

It's not that, it's the lack of self-awareness. We are given this triumphant ending with the women ascending a platform, but if you think about it the whole Wasteland is fricked. They couldn't even manage The Green Place and everybody relies on The Citadel for food and water. And Max actually thought this was a good idea to give these women control? Or maybe he didn't give a frick, but either way it is kind of stupid.

          >They couldn't even manage The Green Place
We don't even know what happened to it so everything you're going on is conjecture, which is fine since Miller intentionally leaves these things unexplained and vague.

        >how the frick is furiosa gonna run bullet farm and oil place?
with some middle manager like Joe was was doing. the Citadel has all the leverage, they have the best physical defenses and the most vital resource of the three.
