I haven't watched a new movie since the D&D flick I think, or banshees of ishirin whichever came first.
I will watch godzilla when it drops on torrents though and am looking forward to dunc 2 when it drops on torrent too.
Is it some chud discord meme to have an insane hatred for this movie? It's not one of the greatest of all time by any means but opinions like these are ridiculous.
Oppenheimer is more feel bad for israelites movie than The Zone of Interest, cause the Glazer one is a parallel to what they have been doing in Gaza (hinted at by Glazer himself in the interviews)
At least it wasn't Poor Things
Poor Things mops the floor with Sloppenheimer which is one if the worst editing in any movie I've ever seen. It's like a perpetual trailer. Nothing impressive about the direction either, endless closeups, nonsensical use of black and white.
>if the worst editing in any movie I've ever seen
is there any video that goes over this? Because its true. It seriously feels like an incoherent string of clips rather than a movie.
Oppenheimer is for ADHD kiddies with the loud bass booming over 2 second scenes cutting from one to the next. Anyone who has a brain isn't that easily impressed by such cheap and exhausting tricks. Poor Things is far from a masterpiece, but as said, it is much better than Oppenheimer, and it should've taken best picture.
2023 was a shit year for movies and 2024 is looking to be worse. We haven't had young, groundbreaking directors come out of nowhere from the indie scene since the '90s. And there doesn't seem to be a Tarantino, Soderbergh, Smith, Hartley, Anderson or Rodriguez among the zoomer set. It truly is over.
Most indie directors prefer to stay indie aside from doing gigs specifically to get money. Meaning their films usually have barely mass appeal. There's also a lot of great foreign festival cinema.
Best film I saw this year is Do Not Expect too Much From The End of The World, Romanian film.
ya this part was honestly insanely underwhelming. Theres no way they saw the final product and though "game changing". Just looked like outdated effects, like out of movie from the 60s or something
I got really pissed at this part, the buildup was really cool, but then I get to see a bomb smaller than an average FAB you see in ucraine everyday by the thousands
OPPENHEIMER STYLE
A kino ten years in the making.
the oscars are influenced by the meme status of a movie. Not surprised Oppenheimer won as much as it did.
the only 2023 movie i saw was godzilla minus one lmao

it could be worse I guess
same
Barbie sisters the patriarchy has won again
more like nappenheimer
zoomers commented how it was just yapping for 3 hours. KEK
If so, I'm siding with zoomers for the first time ever.
the last third was excruciatingly boring. I thought the climax would be the bomb but it wasnt. It dragged into some kind of soap opera.
legit one of the worst movies ive ever seen in my life. a living tik tok

>Feminists lost
>Nigs lost
>Chinks lost
>Injuns lost
>The feel bad for israelites movie lost
>Scientist movie made by Anglos won

I'll agree with you there. I'm surprised they actually won

Actual brainlet
>it's like a perpetual trailer.
that perfectly describes the last 3-4 nolan movies
Paul Giamatti was so much better it's not even funny. At least the fat black woman won an oscar I guess.
Yeah I was rooting for him to win Best Actor. Oh well
At least it wasn't Poor Things
Best film of the 2020s. Cinemaphile can suck it.
That's dune 2 moron
If only there was no strike that caused a delay
embarrassing
>One of Nolans worst flicks
>Wins
Lol
This. He got lucky because it was the last movie just BEFORE the whole strike bullshit happened.
still not watching nolan slop.
Guys...Come on....It was pretty mid

How low the movie bar is getting, this was a 7/10 at best, easily worst nolan movie after tenet and won because it had no competition

Dune 2
Exactly.
dunkirk was easily worst than both
Won every important award.
FRICKING DESERVED
>Wins best picture and Godzilla wins the only category it was allowed to be in
This years Oscars was alright.
>Nuclear explosion is clearly a tiny fireball blown up 200 feet away
How did this slop win anything

>movie about the first nuke

Frick outta here!
Everything Everywhere last year.
Oppenshit this year.
I guess that means DUNC2 next year.
>this
