What? Eh, shows prob before your time like it is mine. Most people on Cinemaphile are 14-18. I’m 18, but watched the movie on Paramount+ and love Beavis and think he’s super sweet and kind. I watched the 90s series and hated it to death. It was gross, awful, and mean spirited especially to Beavis. But the movie was different and made me love him, and the new season’s going in a new direction for him.
I don’t wanna frick Beavis, I see him as my son and think he’s a sweetie and I’m glad he’s changing in the new season.

imo I don't think it's directly the lore they like it's the "lore" they like. As in they want something easily digestible that will make them look smart without getting really getting into the setting like how LotR is full of in depth lore but the Amazon series ignored all of that and make up their own so they can keep tabs on what they write without doing research into Tolkiens work. See how many of these loregays even play Planescape.
