what was the point of this scene? it had no tie in to the overall story of ozark. they already established ruth being a ghetto bawd in season one with her love for tupac and biggie. so this was confusing to me
The plot armor on this b***h made her fricking insufferable. You knew nothing was going to happen to her so all of the stakes involving her specifically was trash. Took entirely too long to frick off and die.
Yes, basically. The premise of the show is that for years the main character did money laundering for a cartel, then shit went sideways and he wanted to get out of it. The story plays out from there.
I started watching it "during Covid" and I found it to be a cheap ripoff of Breaking Bad. It was just barely intriguing enough to keep watching even though there were a lot of aspects that sucked - way too many shock value moments, subtle israeli propaganda, generally lazy writing, etc. Then maybe a year or 2 ago when the first season "after covid" was released I tried to get back into it and I had to turn it off after about a minute. It was just so dumb and I didn't care about any of the characters.
it was great for many 2 seasons but holy shit did it ever fall right on its face. finale was absolutely fricking terrible, everyone involved should feel bad.
if you watch it as a character study of Marty it's somewhat entertaining. he's a great character with an unparalleled ability to compartmentalize his life
that depends, will you frick my wife? >we have already had men fricking your wife and you will still need to live with her
Is she going to stop? >she’ll promise to but you’ll probably walk in on her fricking someone again
Perfect, I’ll start immediately
It was fricking UNBELIEVABLE how they lead us into thinking that vicious harpy c**t Wendy would finally get her's the entire series, only to have her actually fricking win and have a happy ending at the end of it. b***h ruined the show for me. Obvious psycho feminist writers. Obvious fricking psycho "you go girl!"feminist messaging with her character. b***h got her mentally I'll brother wacked by the cartel. Fricking delivered him lol and she suffered no consequences for that heinous act. But the show tries to make us feel sympathetic with her. Fricking ruined the whole show for me unironically.
Wendy the character ruined the fricking show.
Ozark was fricking great and let's stop pretending it wasn't.
Breaking Bad in Reverse.
got me started.
WENDY is the reason this show was fricking FUBAR'd. Wendy. The character Wendy. Marty's wife. Wendy. W-E-N-D-Y. Just fricking awful throughout. TOTAL fricking c**t of a character. Nagging c**ty two timing conniving c**t. And for some reason the writers tried to portray her as a strong "boss b***h."
b***h was fricking awful and somehow she not only survived, but got everything she wanted at the end of the show. Frick Jason Bateman.Fricking weak pussy for allowing this writing.
The first season was very good. It gradually declined in quality as they tried way too hard to be over the top. I stopped taking it seriously after Omar Navarro got arrested
It was shit >couple in Ozarks have a literal humongous poppy field in their back yard. This would put them on every DEA red flag list. >said couple kill a cartel guy. They would be killed by the cartel right away after this >"Dude, lets build a riverboat casino!" The amount of insane regulations and government red tape to go through to do this would be insane >son starts to act like a mob guy >blue filter
Pros >no Skylar (there's an anti-Skylar, really) >interesting family dynamic >every scene, there's always a new plate spinning, always an old one about to break >emotional/dramatic highs, some good/great performances
Cons >most non-main characters are basically cartoon characters, especially in the early seasons >repetitive character retreads >oppressive blue color-grading >large portions are forgettable, there's no real handful of crazy-memorable moments or Rubicon-crossings like in Breaking Bad besides "blank gets shot"
I really think they missed something in relation to pic related. Wouldn't it have been hilarious if the show recreated an episode of House Hunters with the family? That kind of stuff would have been more memorable and less depressing than the persistent air of melancholy the show refused to uncling from. Like, frick, if you want them to be this facade of a perfect family you need to go all the way and present them as such.
They fricked about in the first episode: >Incel father getting cucked >Hallucinates a fantasy where he fricks a hooker in his car as... Revenge against his elderly wife
If is a great show but the first episode is criminally bad.
Was their drama at the time of release?
Did each episode have different directors/writers?
Please tell me a new got fired for that near calamity of ep 1
wendy is a better skylar
jason bateman is a great actor in the majority of his roles, his comedic edge fills out this character.
the anticipation for the next cartel leaders phonecall demand that was increasingly ridiculous was what made the show. Lot of antagonists were poorly utilized like the old hilbilly husband/wife, the gilf banging was a bit much and ruth's bro sucked anyways. The private detective in the final season was a really cool dude and i liked that he was the problem, Wendy's brother was godawful at every angle terrible arc otherwise i found the boat casino enjoyable
the characters they brought out of the woodwork toward the end after the main cartel leader was grasping for straws, cartel son and then cartel wife/mom those were bad choices should've went a different direction, kinda got whiplash from marty turning the government against the cartel and coming out okay, kinda shit dramatically flipped in 15 minutes of an episode
I struggled to watch the last few seasons. First season was best, rest was pretty meh. This isn't breaking bad but I can see why people think it is. Only thing I really like about it is the setting. It's not shot in Missouri, sadly.
The first season was superb. Then the israelites realized they had made Marty base and red-pilled, relegating him to advance the storylines of vapid holes.
First season was great, then it fell off a cliff. Big cliffhanger of Season 1 basically getting dropped with no consequence 5 minutes into season 2 was the first big red flag for the show.
it would be kino if they had plans, each season felt like they were spitballing. last season started with clickbait and ended with some literally who killing best girl
I hated Breaking bad by the end of it. I was so fed up with the depressing atmosphere and Walt's stupid face and voice. and dumbass bald head goattee combo. The best part was at the beginning where Tuco Salamanca got a chance to go insane. Best part of the show. Would not watch again
season 1 was pretty kino and then the rest are shit wtf happened? The quality was so bad and all the new villains aren't even interesting. Season 3 ending was good though but that wasn't worth sitting through.
no one's pretending, it was fricking gay garbage. and the ending was the worst in television history.
not as bad as better call saul.
I'm embarrassed for you.
What a useless and uncomfortable scene
wrong
what was the point of this scene? it had no tie in to the overall story of ozark. they already established ruth being a ghetto bawd in season one with her love for tupac and biggie. so this was confusing to me
strong start, and it got weaker with every season
It was average. Ruth a cute though.
Mahrty
MARDI
Wanna come inside mah frickin trailer and pound my ass?
frick, you just fantasy-engaged me, u prick.
Her curly hair and pale skin drove me wild with undignified lust
>Her curly hair and pale skin drove me wild with undignified lust
The plot armor on this b***h made her fricking insufferable. You knew nothing was going to happen to her so all of the stakes involving her specifically was trash. Took entirely too long to frick off and die.
It was shit that relied on shock deaths. Looking back you can see this pattern emerge from the very first episode
Redneck was the only good part
this is the only reason I watched for so long
The vile things I would do to this young woman's butthole have no words accurate enough in modern language
>Deep blue eyes
>Entire show is tinted dark blue so you don't notice
That's dumb
lickable face
I would ruin her insides
What did she post?
Bane
She reminds me of young Madonna.
Madonna wanted her to play her in Madonna's own biopic but that fell through
Based
Yes I do
>Breaking Bad in Reverse
Is it a cartel guy trying to have a lawful life?
Yes, basically. The premise of the show is that for years the main character did money laundering for a cartel, then shit went sideways and he wanted to get out of it. The story plays out from there.
Why is every woman in this show such a... woman? Emotional frick ups making things harder for the men, all of them
I started watching it "during Covid" and I found it to be a cheap ripoff of Breaking Bad.
It's much, much better than snooze fest breaking bad.
it was great for many 2 seasons but holy shit did it ever fall right on its face. finale was absolutely fricking terrible, everyone involved should feel bad.
When the last episode aired, I believed the lies that "we're coming back" it's now cancelled? Permanent hiatus?
Very aimless show. Most characters don't really operate on any kind of clear motive or consistency.
if you watch it as a character study of Marty it's somewhat entertaining. he's a great character with an unparalleled ability to compartmentalize his life
I bailed on the show after the first episode of the final season, when the son betrayed his own family to join up with the hillbilly b***h.
Hello, Martin. I have come into a great deal of money and thus made a few....changes.
>straight hair Ruth
Not sure how to feel
sexo
She did the most moronic accent in that show
It was accurate
Very strange to see her with straight hair.
The last season was.. meh but it was really strong those first few
>jason bateman you need to launder our money
>ok I laundered your money
>actually we want you to launder more money
Repeat ad infinitum
You forgot
>actually we want you to launder more money, but launder it differently this time
that depends, will you frick my wife?
>we have already had men fricking your wife and you will still need to live with her
Is she going to stop?
>she’ll promise to but you’ll probably walk in on her fricking someone again
Perfect, I’ll start immediately
loved it
bit long though
>Marty, I want to go to the Moon.
>Uh....yeah, I'm not a rocket scientist and I don't work for NASA
>You have twenty four hours. Get it done.
Watched Season 1 only, and it was everything people who hate Breaking Bad say that is -- all plot, no character, no substance.
What's next for her?
Is the premise of this series that woman ruin everything?
Literally by the end of the show the women were the most evil in the end and the men followed along
Except Ruth
True, it's ironic how she and her family were the closest thing to genuine "good" people in the show
Was that before or after Wyatt started fricking the drug granny?
Oh yeah that was an asspull, just like how they completely forgot about Ruth's youngest brother
Front lawns, the show.
The fact that Wendy didn't die shows it had a bad ending
Marty and the kids turning evil was fricking moronic.
Who #teamjonah here?
It went from good to hot garbage in 2 episodes.
pasty
Jason Bateman is based
Still votes Democrat, no doubt.
As does all of Hollywood, if they want to eat in that town again.
How would they know what you do once you get inside the booth
The pollsters narc on them.
I liked it, but I don't think the show was ever better than its first season in terms of tension.
Reminder that Wendy's attempt to sabotage Jonah to teach him a lesson almost got them all arrested and/or killed.
>Ozark was fricking great
Is that why the RT audience rating went down more and more every season?
Frick nespressso stupid fricking pods taste like shit
It was fricking UNBELIEVABLE how they lead us into thinking that vicious harpy c**t Wendy would finally get her's the entire series, only to have her actually fricking win and have a happy ending at the end of it. b***h ruined the show for me. Wendy the character ruined the fricking show.
Frick that because
got me started.

>Ruth calling her a "fricking c**t" to her face
people that say Skyler was the terrible wife haven't met Wendy
The first season was very good. It gradually declined in quality as they tried way too hard to be over the top. I stopped taking it seriously after Omar Navarro got arrested
It was shit

>son starts to act like a mob guy
>blue filter
very forgettable show that i just sort of stopped watching somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd season
>Season 1 the moronic kid walks into sporting goods store and buys a fully automatic rifle.
Nah
The entire show is unwatchable thanks to the ugly blue-green light it’s dyed in.
Pros
>no Skylar (there's an anti-Skylar, really)
>interesting family dynamic

cute Julia
Awful last season. Breaking Bads was kinda shit too but at least it was entertaining overall.
I dropped at hardcore gay scene more pozzed than bb
"hardcore"
I don’t think I finished watching it, and I don’t want to try because I remember hating Marty’s wife so much. Remind me why she sucks
They fricked about in the first episode:
>Incel father getting cucked
>Hallucinates a fantasy where he fricks a hooker in his car as... Revenge against his elderly wife
If is a great show but the first episode is criminally bad.

Did they?
>Window to the soul
That's somehow lewder than a load of cleavage.
Hot

Wow, where did they retrieve this personal selfie from?
there's more floating about on Cinemaphile if you look...
Really dude? The baal cookie jar at the end didn’t seem HAMFRICKING FISTED?
blue
it was watchable for like half of a season
The only good thing about the last season was the posting on here about Navarro's increasingly unreasonable demands of Marty.
First season was great, then it fell off a cliff. Big cliffhanger of Season 1 basically getting dropped with no consequence 5 minutes into season 2 was the first big red flag for the show.
I cooked your frickin' c**t wife for dinner, Mardi, she put up a frickin' fight too
Well uh, that's good, Ruth
it would be kino if they had plans, each season felt like they were spitballing. last season started with clickbait and ended with some literally who killing best girl
Marty and Ruth never fricking was the biggest crime in the recent tv
s1 and s2 was kino
s3 was still kinda okay
s4 sropped the ball hard
I hated Breaking bad by the end of it. I was so fed up with the depressing atmosphere and Walt's stupid face and voice. and dumbass bald head goattee combo. The best part was at the beginning where Tuco Salamanca got a chance to go insane. Best part of the show. Would not watch again
until they gave Wendy more than 2 pages of lines
season 1 was pretty kino and then the rest are shit wtf happened? The quality was so bad and all the new villains aren't even interesting. Season 3 ending was good though but that wasn't worth sitting through.
