>One of the best adult animations to come out in a few years
>doesnt pander and respects the audiences intelligence
>delivers thought provoking messages and dilemas about what it means to be an individual, technology being ones of our biggest strengths as well as downfall etc.
>About to be lost to time because horrible advertisement with best case scenario being the possibility it becomes a cult classic in a few years
Kinda sad tbh

Doomed to fail thanks to AMC they should've actually advertised it. Then it would've failed anyways because it's too smart.
We will always remember
Doesn't matter, the whole series is now available somewhere. S2 was able to come out and the whole story is finished. Meaning in years to come, when people are interested, they can just look it up and find the show. The show is available for the ones who want quality content, and the ones who skip it will be missing out.
I'm thankful the world can see it on its entirety.
This. With all the issues the series faced it's a miracle we actually got to see the ending, and I'm happy with just that. S2 could have been locked up forever, or they could have gone for 3 seasons only to get cancelled at S2 end leaving us on a cliffhanger. Now that it's done and out there anyone can watch it and us dedicated fans can spread the word.
We didn't get to see Reality Prime, i.e the original timeline that Safesurf came from and later simulated. Maddie didn't become GodMaddie there because she never received a message from safesurf.
>Cinemaphile should be more like Cinemaphile.
Holy shit no. Cinemaphile isn't great but Cinemaphile is a total cesspool.
If you're worried about it being forgotten then start bugging popular utubers to promote it on their channel. Just know that that will flood the comfy threads with casuals and tourists.
Frick, i can already see the titles
"The greatest sci fi show no one watched" or some shit like that.
I guess thats the price to pay for immortality
>characters in show become immortal by becoming brain dead
>show itself becomes immortal by having brain dead masses consume it
This is so poetic that we probably are living in a simulation.
>probably
Not even "probably", too many things should have happened with mathematical certainty or we would never exist. And I am an atheist, so I kinda don't believe it was some magical old guy from the sky
Anon, a conscious force that can observe everything outside of our space-time and manipulate reality at will is for all intents and purposes big-G God.
Both seasons excel in animation, writing and themes of dangers of the "actual" AI, despite rushed production.
But last 2 episodes were meh.
oh season 2 is out?
It's a great show, AMC was great for allowing to be made and exist, but stupid for putting it on AMC+ which no one uses, and on Hi Dive which anime fans who don't pirate probably weren't going to watch this show there.
the sad thing is i don't even know if it would be popular if it were advertised better, nobody cares about adult animation that isn't a shitty comedy
It almost certainly wouldn't be, the mystery dea husband angle would hook some people but episode 1 being mostly people talking and not a lot of hints over what's going on other than Logorhythms lying to everyone would've had a lot of people drop it.
I'm still pretty sure a version of Chanda survived Holstrom. Heck I'm pretty sure the version that was fricking with the nuclear codes wasn't even the main Chanda and the "real" one was hanging out with the Clan in his tower while everyone else was running themselves hot.
The show ends with the revelation that everything is a simulation within a simulation with no known cap, essentially making it a multiverse and thus there is likely a timeline/simulation where he doesn't die.
Yeah but I mean in Maddie's original timeline which the show takes place in.
the show doesn't take place in maddie's original timeline
Pretty sure it's in the original timeline of our version of Maddie considering it had the bloodbath and son death and the message from SafeSurf anyways that's all irrelevant I'm just saying I think Chanda as an entity survived the final battle since his tower and the Clan didn't show up and we saw in the season 1 final battle that he needs to bring himself aka the tower over to operate at full capacity.
Holstrom's server was Chanda's server. Holstrom finished building everything according to Chanda's designs. Chanda himself couldn't finish it because of the flaw.
Why? Because he smiled at his own death? That's a common trope.
I feel like the original prime timeline ended with Maddie killing herself after losing everyone, so that’s why SafeSurf created simulations where they gave her that message that would inspire her to keep living to end up as GodMaddie.
I dunno I just want him to live the gay life man, maybe one with Pope
I like when they brained that guy
also like the uncomfortable drama tones
>too ambitious and not enough promotion
good adult animation is sadly doomed to fail
IDK man, the ending was kind of a boring unsatisfying copout.
It didn't go to the places I wanted or the themes I actually care about when exploring AI/UI and what it means to be human, it just picks a side and runs with it at a surface level. In that way I don't think it respected my intelligence at all and tried to be BIG to make up for lacking actual depth.
I know my critique here sounds heavy, I still liked the show, it's a lot better than the average garbage being made, the characters are great, had plenty of wonderful moments, the overarching themes and ideas were just lacking heavily and then the last two episodes were super underwhelming for the genre.
It is for sure a shame about the whole "lost to time" thing though, I hate seeing actual attempts at compelling plot driven animation being drowned out.
Anime does the same thing but a million times better
Either name a specific example or frick off with your east vs west cancer.
NTA but what's your opinion on Ergo Proxy?
Ergoth Pussy
Never saw it. I just can't stand weebs coming into every single Cinemaphile thread just to say "anime good" and refusing to elaborate any further when 90% of Japan's animated output is shit devoid of any philosophical insight just like the West's.
Cinemaphile should be more like Cinemaphile. non-Cinemaphile shitposting gets banned. idk why mods are okay with weebs shitting up every thread with their east vs west muh nippon superior bullshit.
that's difficult considering that anime is featured in Cinemaphile spaces such as Toonami. Not to mention that there are Cinemaphile media based on Japanese franchises such as Castlevania and even Cinemaphile media animated by Japanese studios like Cyberpunk Edgerunners
ALSO It doesn't help that this series really only seeks to please a specific niche.
its a hard scifi show, characters simple talk most of time few action scenes, more focus on sentimental and sceience theories, adn the fact that this is NOT A COMEDY.
I love this show, but i understand the mainstream people not showing much interest on it.
for the twitter/reddit audience the show is boring
well frick reddit and twitter
the pantheon subreddit is doing alright
This is what passes for a hard scifi show now? How the mighty have fallen
>This is what passes for a hard scifi show now?
The list of hard sci fi shows can be counted on one hand, maybe two.
Also none of the technology shown in the show is outside of the realm of possibility and doesn't require any new laws of physics, so it would fit the definition of hard.
MIST has recovered, restored, relived a thousand times each second, and cherished Caspian's memories of Maddie's tight teen pussy in a level of detail not even available to Caspian himself.
>a Catholic show with no gays
Cinemaphile should be simping over this show
I simp to her
>t. inhabitant of Maddie's simulated world
but we like traps and all sorts of homosexualry
kys degenerate
this show needed at least one cute twink
no twink no success
Caspian is right here.
>no gays
Well now I'm not gonna watch it... Is there at least hinted gay relationships?
I don't recall any, unless you count some avatars in VR chat universe during last 2 episodes of the second season.
It's pretty much agreed upon that Chanda and Pope (not together) are the closest things you'll get to gay men
the underage sex part was animated really good
Unrelated but I wonder what would happen if you uploaded a dolphin
You should write a short story about that
MIST porn when
That's not the MIST he meant.
She was cuter as a rice cooker though.
It’s the MIST he deserves.
Blue hair MIST is for Caspian’s subconscious only.
My heart still hurts
My problem with this ending is, while it's sweet, what will they do? Just relive the entire story again? All the pain, hurt and suffering? For a couple kisses and a single frick? I understand why madie would like it, but Caspian hasn't had the time she has to miss all of that. They could've stayed with their family or go the future diary route and just be gods crafting universes together instead.
Not that poster but i like to believe they picked a universe where everything goes right and they can just live a normal life but the more you think about it, the unlikely it is because
>Caspian was always a clone
> They always meet because of the events revolving around her dad being a UI
Just make Caspian a clone and have Cary be his actual adopted dad. Or have Renee be the surrogate mother and carry Caspian (who's still genetically Holstrom's clone) in her womb. And Caspian and Maddie can meet since David works for Holstrom's company, where Caspian's dad also works
That specifically picked a universe where they would meet in the same way. They went through it and showed everything happening the same way. I'm pissed because while Maddie has been bumping around for centuries, Caspian has been alive for like a day and a half at this point.
I haven't watched the show yet but if this is the consensus, I'm assuming the plot is basically Homestuck but condensed- with this immortality through death and the afterlife, multiple/infinite universes, timeline manipulation, religious undertones, mortality and morality being challenged, and all that.
I feel like I've seen your exact take online years ago but about some of the alpha trolls or something.
Is there a mega for season 2?
look up the archives. almost all pantheon threads have "Pantheon" as the subject title if that helps

Black person
This is what happens when you don’t have a cute girl to sell your show.
>maddie
>not cute
Background character. Eh.
does anyone have an organized timeline for the show? trying to remember all the specific dates is driving me mad
If the fan base attracts people like this, I can see why it's so small
stupid logic, large fanbases attract even more autismos
>the fan base attracts people like this
anon if anything that's the opposite of attracting
kek
>what if Lain but american
SEL is already cringe enough as it is
I don't understand this comparison at all, Lain didn't invent the concept of human minds being uploaded to computers.
They are not tonally or thematically similar at all.
show has:
>interesting themes done well and doesnt dumb down
>good animation, characters and voice acting
>no pushed agendas
>dicky
I really hope it stays niche for the comfy threads
Im glad in a way they tried to wrap it all up in the second season instead of cliff hanger ending.
Also i feel they can get away with throwing a bunch of new information at the viewer after the time skip because you can relate to Caspian confusion.
Nothing you said is true.
I like Pantheon but the overall story and themes are pretty lukewarm and done better by other shows. The MC is enjoyable and her mom even more so. Also Chanda did nothing wrong.
>doesnt pander and respects the audiences intelligence
That's only if your intelligence is low enough to be remotely challenged by this show's messages. Everyone else found it extremely trite and sophomoric. I struggle to see how anyone can find its messages "thought-provoking" unless they're actually moronic.
It challenged mine. I was all on board with the UIs being human message till the last two episodes.
Having read the premise this show sounds super pedestrian. Is it just 10/10 execution of an okay idea, or do you have low standards?
the bar is low since western cartoons have made it that way, especially in the more "mature" category
Modern animation has such low standards that any show that can execute its story and convey its ideas half decently puts it into high tier
>TV-14
>Adult
Lol homosexual. That said, I thought it was okay. Certainly would have watched more.
lets ask the real question. How did they get away with a 18 year old impregnating a 15 year old?
Two reasons: growth spurt and Romeo-Juliet laws
They didn’t need to do this, but I really love how they built up that Holstrom (and by extension, Caspian) is a sex machine. At first I was rolling my eyes at the trope of a couple of teens getting knocked up on their very first time, then I remembered how thirsty young Renee was and the gas station condoms moment. Caspian almost certainly had the stamina of a racehorse and was pounding Maddie all night.
>got his gf all hot and bothered by talking about math in music
>was so good he got Renee convinced to give up 20 years of her life for a plan of his
Holstrom was the weirdest blend of a turbo nerd genius and gigachad at the same time.
Its not even available to stream or buy in the UK so nobody here has even heard of it
sad
It's STILL only c**tland exclusive?
>bad marketing
>limited availability
>produced by amc+
fricking grim how this.was made to fail. If it was released on Amazon or netflix would 100% gotten more attention even with little to no marketing
It was released on Amazon at least here in Canada (probably because we couldn't get AMC+ normally at the time) but they also fricked up the weekly release every week so we got shit like episode 7 instead of 6 for multiple days.
How do they frick the episode order up. It really is a cursed IP
Yeah it was messed up, the creators were begging people to not watch the leaked episodes because everyone just pirated them (because out of order was only on amazon and not amc+) so they could be watched in order and it fricked up the viewership numbers.
I watched the pilot and it was absolute shit.
Is this show in any streaming service that people actually watch
Yeah. Mega.nz
Nah season 2 was written off for taxes then brought back because they needed something to fill airtime thanks to the strike and even then it only got streamed on Amazon Prime in New Zealand.
I just started and up to episode 4. Did Caspian eventually make him mom back into her prime and fricks her for revenge?
I can tell you he fricked a rice cooker
There were probably a ton of teen pregnancies after the first timeskip. 4 months with no internet and a curfew is the perfect formula for kids to "lose track of time" and be stuck overnight at their boyfriends house.
Nice
>SAGE333
Hey now she was 16 by the time season 2 started, had a driver's license and everything.
>Caspian really busted a nut in a 16 year old knowing damn well he would not get back to help raise it.
There, its now morally right
He was 18. I don't know what Norwegian law says in this case.
Sorry OP Cinemaphile would rather spam threads about hayley's on it
I'd actually buy it if it were available here.
>BUILT for caspian
Caspian is a very classic character
classic Caspian Keyes
Stephen knew to bring condoms. It’s probably the main reason he was never a dad.
All I ever heard about it was it being trash.
>moral dilemma over the existence of Uploads and do they still qualify as being the person, with people protesting their existence
>immediately abandoned by the people once they realize how much better life is as a UI for everyone
Honestly the most realistic bit of writing, mankind would happily ignore any ethical problem if the result is more comfort.
I like to imagine most of them didnt even realize it meant dying in the process.
It depends, like one of the biggest arguments against the idea of uploading a human mind can be the fact is it just a copy of the original mind, but since the shows method outright kills the flesh body then there’s no worry about two minds existing at the same time.
The concept of dying to be uploaded is still fricked because regardless of if you die or not in the process, you are still not the one who gets to enjoy the result. The real you doesnt get to go to cyberspace, the copy does.
That’d only happen if God let your real soul into for realsies heaven instead of damning you to the hell of the cloud for committing the sin of upload. Which He wouldn’t.
Well good news Everyone is digital in the "real" world too so moving from real to a server makes you the same file in a slightly different subfolder
The same problem is somewhat present in cyberpunk 2077 and SOMA (dumb story in my opinion)
Is uploaded You really You?
Consequentially it leads to more general problem - what makes you - you?
Brain, body, soul, a combination of all?
When soul is introduced in the equation, at least if we stick to Christian belief system, problem is automatically resolved - body dies during uploading process, soul goes out and what remains is an imprint of memory and intelligence functions.
soul doesnt exist, then all falls into place
Sure, which would only leave a question of hierarchies between copies of an entity in question.
Adding an anchor to "self" or "personality" in a form of the soul (your personal beliefs are irrelevant here) or an additional latent variable to the question surely would spice things up when it comes to works of fiction.
>Is uploaded You really You?
Better question, "Does it even matter?"
I look at it this way, if you want to upload because you want your personal subjective consciousness to exist forever well it won't however you can assume that your copy would also want that so it's not like it's a waste.
However if your reason for wanting to upload is for more selfless reasons like wanting to complete some goal that is important to you, to fix problems or to be there for someone you care about than uploading would be very appealing, sure it requires your own personal death but that just means it would be something you would do at the end of your life rather than never.
I mean it depends. Do transporters from Star Trek kill you? If the thing created from the process is identical to (you) when you went in, then what's the difference between it and (you)?
That would make a decent "twilight zone" episode.
Here is a premise:
* scientists discover a way to teleport things from machine A to machine B.
* Experiments on particles, molecules, items, insects and small animals are success.
* Time for a grand finale - human. Man goes in, teleports on the way out - healthy, fully functional, but emotionless, passive meat husk of a man.
isn't that just black mirror? black mirror is the modern twilight zone
Was this idea properly developed in sci. fiction?
Perhaps the same can be said about cloning
This is just going God Tier
You guys are praising and eating up the plots of Homestuck because they switched out the characters for anime b***hes and made it into a cartoon.
yes boomer-kun, Homestucked created cyberspace
Ehehehe 😀 *claps hands like a moron*
I don't think Big Lips McGee was the first writer to tackle this specific existential dilemma.
>The concept of dying to be uploaded is still fricked because regardless of if you die or not in the process
But only from your perspective if you have a family (David) they will see the copy as you, If you are already brain dead (Laurie) you won't care because you were already effectively dead, a better way of looking at it is that you aren't just killing yourself to become immortal but rather you were already dying/dead but now some aspect of you lives on and can take care of the people you love, it's basically life insurance.
At least the earliest supporters seem like they sorta understood it when they came up with the slogan “Die now. Live forever.”
To be fair it's an extremely subjective form of death.
If your death leaves behind a perfect copy of you with all of your memories, your personality, your thoughts, a copy so perfect even your closest friends and family members can't tell the difference, by what objective standard are you even dead?
The subjective perspective of an original who died the instant the copy was made and cannot report this discrepancy?
on the objective standard that there is no continuity with the you that is you now. There's gonna be a thing that wakes up like you do every day in the machine but the you that is you now is going to be dead with it's skull hollowed out, never to wake up again. In a weird way uploading is extremely selfless. You get to leave the people you love something behind so that they never have to experience the loss of you. You though, the actual you that spent time with them and created the memories they don't want to lose, the you that's alive right now? You're fricking dead.
>There's gonna be a thing that wakes up like you do every day in the machine but the you that is you now is going to be dead with it's skull hollowed out, never to wake up again.
But it makes no difference to any third person observer.
>You though, the actual you that spent time with them and created the memories they don't want to lose, the you that's alive right now? You're fricking dead.
Which is why the whole fact that the UI is merely a copy is at worst merely a reason to stall uploading until near the end of your life rather than forgo it altogether.
Life your human life and then when you're at death's door tell the nurse to wait until some random time you're asleep to give you some anesthesia and put you in the brain scan machine.
Your UI might be momentarily surprised to a copy/ know that you are dead but once they exist they aren't going to commit suicide out of some horror at the thought of their own existence, you knew what you were doing and they remember being you so it's consensual passing of the torch.
Also the fact that three UI's almost caused a nuclear winter so you just quietly agree with whatever they say they are.
Tons of spoilers if you go too far googling but tl;dr it's a hard sci-fi show about humanity approaching the singularity by uploading human minds to computers as the next stage of artificial intelligence. Here's the scene from episode 1 they used to tease the show make of it what you will. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Sm_RZ8cBfQ
No yeah that was the entire subplot with Dirk's ai Hal and uploaded consciousness into a virtual version, and having "sentient" robots and characters replacing themselves until theyre basically a robot with a bit of their original blood somewhere built in throughout the series. This shit is anime Homestuck.
Never heard of this show. What was it about.
I really liked the show, especially given the current state of animation and available content.
Still, idea of UI is far-far-fetched from reality.
Consider the following: you "scan" somebody's brain and force it to run on the dedicated hardware. So far, so good - but not really.
To run a simulation of a single brain with high precision on the level comparable to the real one, we must first know capabilities of the former in a quantifiable way.
Which we do not fully understand in the first place.
Second, such task would ideally require a specifically designed hardware (chips, ASICs, SOCs, etc.). Regular servers are not designed to handle such simulations, as far as I know.
Yeah, that’s what makes it scifi. It’s really more an ethical thought exercise than an honest prediction of technological advancement.
The team spent over 18 years on the infrastructure for the technology after Holstrom figured out the tech to scan it. David's job was to develop the tech side and once he became an upload he was doing the same thing a thousands of times the speed.
You have to suspend your disbelief a little, else they couldn't make the show in the first place. That being said, it still does a pretty alright job in believing most of the shit they do with technology to be possible to excuse according to the technology presented(at least for the first season)
holy shit i mangled this post, i'm just too tired i guess.
basically the technology presented in the universe is used realistically enough to let you enjoy it without it feeling borderline stupid
I agree, show does a good job of preventing a break in "suspension of disbelief".
Just want to extend discussion a bit, to potentially get an attention of anons who works with brain data (probability is close tom 0, but I don't give a shit)
Just like to mention that i could somewhat believe them storing the UIs in big ass servers but it felt a little dumb that they could at some point store them in pen drives and other relatively small data storage devices
it looks boring, visually unappealing
knockoff corean anime written made by westoids
it is boring
voice acting isn't good enough to hold the story
I will take this bait.
Propose a better alternative.
How the hell is this a Korean writing?
Boring - this is a personal opinion, which does not constitute to be a part of review process.
corean as in animated by coreans, written by whites to ape anime (but are too cheap to pay nips)
Only character that was interesting was the clone kid and EVERYONE else was boring AF. Remember castlevania the first season how the mc, the mage chick and the black guy AND Alucard AND Dracula were all interesting/cool characters? Pantheon was not like that boring character after boring character especially the villain aka Indian guy I felt the same way about him as I would a lamp post. Great concept weak characters.
Nah the Indian guy was the best especially in the first 3 episodes. It's just that the showrunners refused to develop him further and decided to develop that clone kid instead
>Nah the Indian guy was the best especially in the first 3 episodes. It's just that the showrunners refused to develop him further and decided to develop that clone kid instead
I think meant to say indian COULD of been the best HAD they developed him further instead of the clone kid. Which if that were the case I would agree.
Yes, defintely. He was uploaded against his will in a gruesome scene, followed by getting stuck in a repetitive loop with those ghouls slowly reaching out to him. Those were kino moments but apart from maybe the killing spree (which seemed out of nowhere), the show just stopped including him after that
I can’t stop thinking about how this could all be a simulation, and for all I know this isn’t even the first time I’ve realized it, now I’m browsing /x/ nonstop, I’m going crazy all because of this show
Other than that it’s a pretty good show, I’d give it at least a 9/10.
>I can’t stop thinking about how this could all be a simulation,
Think of it this way.
If it is it doesn't matter (What are you going to do about it?)
And if it isn't it doesn't matter.
So why worry?
Also think of it this way. If it's even possible for this to be a simulation, its about a 10 billion percent chance that you're in one. There's only one reality but there can be billions of simulations. So rather than worrying about life being a simulation accept that it is, and if it is that there must be some reason why you exist. That's kind of comforting in it's own way.
S2, which is the ending, is finally being released. What more could you ask for? It's a miracle we even got that.
I thought this show was cancelled, why did they bring it back from the dead? I really enjoyed S1 but once I heard it was cancelled I just moved on.
This show receives a criminally low amount of advertising. When does it get streamed outside of Australia/New Zealand?
I don't know if they'll ever show it in the US because I believe it was part of a writeoff. I'm guessing that didn't apply in AUS/NZD. They really did not give a frick about this show,
The second season was completed before season 1 was even released, AMC never released it because they were writing the show off as a tax loss.
Amazon bought the rights and just released the already completed seasons.
I have never seen this mentioned anywhere. huh, weird.
The only reason I ever found out about it was because I clicked on it on a whim on the front page of HIDIVE last year. It's gotten so little marketing it feels like sabotage.
chandacels... we were robbed...
He was simply too gay for the show
Question: in the flashback when Caspian was a baby Renee told Cary they they won't have sex, Cary then said that he doesn't care about the body but the mind tends to hold a grudge. What does this mean? They eventually had to have sex or at least be a pleasant couple (for a while) to make it work. Sorry I know Renee is a bad person but past her is pretty hawt.
I thought that was Cary who didn't want to have sex
Renee set some ground rules, saying they are not going to have sex. Cary said he didn't care about the body, but the mind tends to hold a grudge. That's what I don't understand. So what, they pretty much had to do it to strengthen the disguise or something?
>Cary said he didn't care about the body, but the mind tends to hold a grudge
He's saying she's an abusive b***h and he didn't care about sex. He's in the holstrom cult for the long haul.
Ah. That means Caspian deserves to de-age her back into her prime and frick her for being abusive.
He meant that he would hold a grudge if she constantly acted like a salty b***h all the time.
They didn't have to start fighting for plan for years at that point but she was starting off their working relationship by being a c**t.
I just started this. On episode 5 and really enjoying it. How badly do they frick up the ending?
Also why does the MC always wear socks to bed
I thought the general consensus is that the ending was kino
>Also why does the MC always wear socks to bed
Did you want to see them off?
I wanna see the other character sheets and their range of emotions (outside of Maddie and Joey)
I still can't believe the show had the guts to make the main character go preggy; It's still funny they age up for this.
>How badly do they frick up the ending?
It's not bad just a bit rushed
It's obvious they originally planned on having a three season show but the sudden cancellation when season 2 was being made led them to try and cram the plot of season 3 into two episodes.
It kind of depends. How do you feel about a definitive end that leaves you feeling kind of hollow inside mulling over the details for several days trying to collect your thoughts on the events that have transpired? I can't say that it ends in an unsatisfying way, just that I wish so many things had turned out differently. If you're okay with stories that lean more into the tragic then you'll be fine, if you want an out and out happy ending, well this show probably shouldn't have ever been that. There were too many implications. The worst I can say is I wanted more time, especially for the last two episodes. The show goes in a very interesting direction and those 2 episodes deserved a season all to themselves.
Ending is kino you foot fetish weirdo
The dankcucumber cartoon adaptation when?
what?
Sorry, I forgot to put the Spoiler
>post modern slop
>muh digital copies
Shit ideas already done to death don't deserve attention.
Cant believe we are having an actual nice comfy thread pantbros
Someone remind me, in the ending does Maddie create a whole simulation or her universe or does she find everything is a simulation.
Both
She creates thousands of simulated universes including a recreation of the one we had been watching throughout the show so she could understand the meaning of Caspian's final words.
After recreating everything exactly she questions him and it's revealed he was simply relaying info given to him by Safesurf which had created the universe the show had been following to be a recreation of the one that lived in so they could thank him for jumpstarting their evolution.
So
Safesurf OC universe>Maddie's OC universe>Universe Maddie made
Yes
Finished it today. Holy shit, this has been the best show I've seen in a while. No one knows it exists end the poster and marketing is probably the weakest I've seen marketing a show. Some real brainlets at AMC for dropping the ball with it.
The poster is kinda dumb when you think about it. Maddie in particular never becomes a UI or is her video game avatar ever really used for story porpuses so why is the poster like that?
Anyone have any suggestion what they think the poster should have been to more realistically portray what show is about?
Someone posted some alternate posters on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/PantheonShow/comments/179yni9/season_2_poster_fan_art/
I can only imagine how the team who made this show feels knowing it doomed to fail and got little no publicity
they shouldve released it on netflix or prime. amc+ is one of those no one has
Unfortunately AMC was the company that paid for the production so if it wasn't wasted there it would've never been made. They could still have aired it on the actual channel instead of their terrible streaming service.
yeah. i mean, invincible did pretty well, and thats a similar target/age group i assume.
The ending was a bit weak.
>the maddie watching this
