People don't realize that Digital Circus is so well received because in the last 10 years 99% of the cartoons have been extremely shit. We had a few exceptions(like Pantheon recently) but this medium suffers from producing almost nothing by trash even worse than the other mediums. So something interesting like ADC or Murder Drones should be cheered.

Skibidi Toilet is better
Seconding this. Digital Circus tries to be funny, interesting, and good, and fails on all fronts. Skibi Toilet tries to be a wacky Gmod shitpost and succeeds. Not a fan of either but Skibi at least provides a moment or two of "heh, just like those awful old SFM animations" whereas Digital Circus provides nothing but embarrassing attempts at jokes and a completely failed "90s game" art style by people who clearly haven't seen a 90s game in their life.

I would disagree but also it's just 1 pilot the characters can change and transform or do whatever and yeah the premise is interesting. The pilot was ok in my opinion but I think the series has the potential to be really good and looks/feels different than the hundreds of boring cartoons we have been getting.

Yes, vulnerable and explicitly flawed characters can be compelling in gradually overcoming their personality flaws. But the clown girl's suffering isn't informed by a particular personality flaw haunting her. It's informed by her helplessnes in the face of external factors wholly independent of her. They might explicitly frame her timid nature as a flaw later on and have her overcome it and that might be inspirational, but so far there's no indication lf that. And also any impact of such a storyline is going to be diluted by the swathes of people who love her FOR being pathetic and timid and will keep making ryona shit with her or something, proving that this arc doesn't even matter to the audience.
Look, if chsracters being helpless doormats helps you cope with the memory of your dad touching you as a kid, that's good for you. But don't put yourself onto a pedestal claiming that it's somehow inherently better than normal fiction where protagonists tend to maintain a balance of flaws and virtues.

There is NO balance between Anne and Luz flaws and strenghts, you never once doubt Luz and Anne being good or being wise, their very few moments of weakness would happen to anyone making them not even character traits.
Also again being competent and brave does not mean better as you said, a character can be absolutely pathetic through 99% of the story and still be fantastic, Anne and Luz are just worse characters than Pomni in every way and the fact they are somehow always brave and in the right even though they are 13 year old girls send to the middle of an impossible situation is just poor writing, nevermind how that's 90% of their character.
Sometimes you need a pleasant and effective main character to move an adventure along, get over it spaz
