People who say the Simpsons died after season 10 weird me out because season 11 alone literally has
>The Sneed/Tomacco episode
>The Homer takes Mr. Burns Yaht episode
>The Homer becomes a food critic episode
>The Jockey episode
>The Gary Coleman Furby episode
>The Apu has octuplets episode
>The Florida episode

>The Florida episode
ah yes one of the worst episodes of the show ever
Yeah, but it also has the
>Bart ADHD episode
>Homer and Biker swashbuckling with motorcycles
>Maude getting killed
>Barney going sober
It's where the quality definitively and significantly drops for the first time.
>Maude getting killed
this killed the show for me.
>for the first time.
Happened long before that. Around season 7 or 8
>Bart ADHD episode
>Homer and Biker swashbuckling with motorcycles
>Barney going sober
None of them are bad or thay bad
>Maude getting killed
This killed the show, S11 has many good episodes trying to focus in secondary characters development but Maude/Edna dying both fricked up Ned(he got Maude bad tropes) and Skiner.
>>The Jockey episode
This one was shit and the worse one along with Maude dying
>Gary Coleman furby
Family Guy moment
Sneed is only good because memes. The rest sucks with the worst being Apu Octuplets and the high point being the monkey knife fight joke. I don't even know what episodes the Furby one, jockey or Florida ones are because they were so forgettable.
Funzo, and Homer has anxiety and goes to spring break.
I like that.
>Family Guy moment
The entire Season 11 was basically Family Guy, it's even more obvious now in retrospect when I start remembering these episodes. Embarrassing season all around, Tomacco episode is revered because of the Sneed meme, but it was Family Guyesque as well.
Those episodes kind of suck. Also no one even goes that far, they usually say season 8 and even that is pretty hit or miss
The whole point of the Sneed meme is how terrible and unfunny the dialogue is and how out of character the characters are
I thought the Sneed meme was a spontaneous joke that grew its own support?
you are so naive. it's the most forced shit ever. literally and unironically a israeli power sigil
No that was Chuck
It's amazing people even say to season 10 was good, looking through it again by season 8 it was getting pretty dubious
Excatly. Season 11 is crap.
Scully era is fine, people overhate it.
for me the simpsons only really died with the lady gaga episode, i have fond memories of episodes like the italian bob or springfield up.
PUT IT IN H
Those are all trash except Apu having Octuplets.
>how do you get cradle rash when you sleep in a suitcase
That line sent my sides into orbit.
none of these episodes are good and are early representations of everything wrong with zombie simpsons so i don't understand your point
I have no idea why people randomly cut off at 10. there are 4 acceptable cutoff points that actually make sense.
After season 12-Last season with Mike Scully as show runner
After season 11- last season with Lionel Hutz/Troy Mcclure
After season 8- last season before Mike Scully
After season 6- last season before Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein,
Why on earth would anyone ever cut off after s6
While I like s7 and to a lesser extent s8. It certainly does begin to lose quality at that point.
Nah season 7 is god tier
>Why on earth would anyone ever cut off after s6
Daily reminder that simpsons fans hated S5 and 6 , many said that 'homer goes to College' was the worst episode.
They even shat on the second part of who shot Mr burns
Furthermore I think the show has several more era's than people realize
Tracy ulman-s1 : Birth
S2-s6: Golden Age
S7-S9: Silver Age
S10-S12: Bronze Age
I'm not enough of a masochist to classify it past that. it certainly doesn't instantly become "Zombie simpsons" it's much more of a gradual slow decline.
There's far too large a gulf between 7 and 9 for them to be considered the same "age"
Tracy ulman-s1 : Birth
S2-s4: Golden Age
S5-S8: Silver Age
S9-S12: Bronze Age
It goes from a 95% hitrate to like 70%
It was still a good show but the drop in quality was noticeable. The standard was that high for peak Simpsons that it becoming "sorta good" was considered a decline.
