Better than everything in the Twin Peaksiverse except S1.
arguably yes although FWWM was absolute kino
Did like that it had built-in Reddit memes like "James was always cool" and pro troony catchphrases like fix your heart and die. Having a musical performance in every episode felt like Lynch sucking his own dick too.
>waaah waaah waaah i can't enjoy anything
go watch videos of nordic people getting married to traditional folk music you fricking homosexual
You should get a job at the kinoplex. Seems you're quite good at projecting. The Return was great, and you got lynched, and want to use ONE fricking line addressing ONE character who shows up ONCE (and only because it's goddamn David Duchovny) to call it pro-troony propaganda.
Dennis/Denise is from Season 2 and they had to address the elephant in the room somehow or they'd get shitfricked if Duchovny didn't show up once. Literally the other 18 hours have NOTHING to do with that. And the james line? Really? Frick the frick off with that shit you pleb. You just can't enjoy anything, admit it.
>Director literally appears in the show and delivers line about how anybody who doesn't love trannies is evil and needs to die. >It isn't pro trans propaganda chud!
>propaganda
Propaganda is a government funded conveyer belt pumped media.
Lynch has interest in trannies because they're weird and creepy, it's his personal belief, not a government mandate he was forced to insert so it can't be defined by propaganda. I don't agree with his ideas on trannies, but I don't seethe at any opinion in that I do not agree with.
listen buddy i get that troons acking is funny and all, but in real life people try not to antagonise suicidal schizophrenics. can't blame normies like lynch for feeling sorry for them.
>being so assblasted that you just feel the need to double down
1. gordon's a major character so it makes sense
2. i already explained why they had to at least tip the hat to the fact that dennis/denise was a literally troony back in season 2 (and it wasn't propaganda then, it was just a character because trannies were 'le weird' and a lot of the 2nd season post-lynch was weird for weird's sake aka sucked)
3. it has nothing to do with the rest of the series and if you want to fricking skip it it's like a 2 minute long scene
4. unfortunately having a literal troony be the director of the FBI is sorta realistic now
and still with the projection. hm. i highly suggest that you seethe, cope, perhaps dilate, touch grass, and have sex
>arguably yes although FWWM was absolute kino
FWWM (initial release) < The Return < FWWM (after The Return)
The Return elevated FWWM to a place higher than it initially stood.
*8 minute unbroken shot of someone sweeping floor* >Heckin based kino. Anyone who doesn't like this is LE LYNCHED

I’ll defend everything that doesn’t have a hulk hand attached to it. Vegas was undeniably entertaining counter-programming and the majority of occurrences within the titular township itself was an enjoyable continuation of Fire Walk With Me. I can understand some things were purposelessly indulgent but it was the old c**t’s swan song and he did it his way. Genuinely appreciated his bizarre and experimental take on CG even if it was amateurish at times in execution.
I’m just happy to have had a coda. I didn’t expect a maxi series.
the only parts of Twin Peaks The Return were, ironically, a lot of the scenes that took place in Twin Peaks. All the new kid characters like Bobby and Shelly's daughter and Evil Dale and Audrey's son were pretty lame additions.
>There is no lower limit to what I'll defend so long as le epin artistic director brand name is attached to it.
No special effects too low quality. No scene too redundant. So long as based Lynch is at the helm.
It could be some other director who has established a certain style of filmmaking and if these things work within the overall context, it doesn't have to be specifically Lynch. >EVERYTHING IS A BRAND
Liking the works of a specific artist doesn't equal liking everything by a certain brand.
It will be remembered as revolutionary as it filters through 99% of the steaming pile of crap current streaming tv is. Its a pure artists vision, and even if it has flaws, because it stays true to it, it trumps everything our right now.
I mostly agree with this but I still made the thread anyways because I knew it would get replies. I didnt foresee it turning into a troony debate, I had completely forgotten Duchovny was even in it
david lynch blows. the closest thing to a decent movie he made was dune and that was :
#1 somebody else's setting and story
and
#2 taken away from him during the editing process by the studio so they would have a film that actually had a beginning and an ending rather than being a fricking gay moronic senseless acid trip. dune is literally the only film in history where studio interference saved the film and that is because a soulless moneyman in a suit is a better filmaker than lynch.
and i dont want to here how season 1 of twin peaks is kino. it doesnt make up for it. even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Dune is kino but so is Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, and Inland Empire. Twin Peaks S3 has its moments. Mulholland Drive is good too but Inland Empire completely mogs it.
Better than everything in the Twin Peaksiverse except S1.
No, including season 1
yes

Twin peaks: the return is the greatest piece of cinema of the last 15 years.

Yes. Go watch your constant jumpcut capeshit.
Most critics actually agree but they can’t say it because technically it’s a tv show
It was peak television and only brainlets hate it
better call saul is this scene stretched out over 6 seasons.
Did like that it had built-in Reddit memes like "James was always cool" and pro troony catchphrases like fix your heart and die. Having a musical performance in every episode felt like Lynch sucking his own dick too.
I won't defend it, if plebs want to miss the greatness it's their choice.
its boring but also great at the same time. weird
Felt the same way btw
Nothing comes close. Nothing.

I love what Twin Peaks was....but Season 3 was kind of shit...
The whole conflict in the story was inter-dimensional aliens that feed on good and evil?....
ugh....just should've kept the mystery of not knowning
type like a normal person moron

Filtered. The new characters absolutely curb stomp the "Reddit" fan favorites in terms of quality.
Are you being honest?

Watch Inland Empire, pussy

t. has never seen a david lynch movie
Dune is kino but so is Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, and Inland Empire. Twin Peaks S3 has its moments. Mulholland Drive is good too but Inland Empire completely mogs it.
Peoplr don't appreciate how Lynch can be great without being surrealistic, Elephant Man and Straight Story are kino.
Usually people criticizing Lunch are giant normalgays but you managed to be a pseud instead while doing that.
My only issue is Bob didn't dance once, that was his defining thing.
Is twin peaks worth watching? Sell me on it
