>person A's super power is being able to see 5 seconds into the future

>person A's super power is being able to see 5 seconds into the future
>person B's super power is able to see things in slow motion and move 10x as fast as a normal person

who wins in a fight? how does that fight roll out? what strategy would you implement if you were in one of their shoes?

    >who wins
    speedster
    >how does that fight roll out
psychic sees he’s going to lose, tries to avoid fight, can’t because too slow
    >strategy
none, you can’t outsmart someone with only 5 seconds to work with

what are you trying to bump off?

depends on if the future/fate of the vision can be effected by person A or not, if they are able to change it. and also how fast person A's ability can activate over and over again, and how instant the knowledge of the future is gained. even then it would be a very tough fight since 10x speed is crazy. 2x or 5x I would understand person A having a amall chance but 10x?
If they can't effect the future, then what the other anons in the thread are saying:
if you had an insta-activation ability like jjba's king crimson/epitaph (picrel), then maybe it would even the playing field, but I don't still think you understand how crazy 10x speed is OP.

B wins easily, 5 seconds isn't enough time to out-plan someone who has such an overwhelming advantage in a direct fight.

How is this a fair fight? Quicksilver moves and thinks faster then this guy can even register. It's like trying to dodge a bullet inches from hitting you.

Almost like speed has no hard counters aside from a psychic that can sneak up on you and lift you off the ground before you know you’re fighting.
        >but muh flying
And what can the opponent do in the air? Shoot easily dodgeable projectiles? That’s a stalemate at best, assuming the speedster can’t throw things for whatever reason.

I can't really think of any hard counters to speed that aren't outright invulnerability, and even that depends on what your goals are.

          phasing (can't attack)
gravity manip, (increased gravity prevents movement)
vacuum zones (no air prevents breathing, which prevents running)
time stop (if it isn't slow but stop, then can negate speed )
metabolic linked toxins (invisible, and the faster you move the quicker the toxin kills you, in perceived time not absolute time, as your metabolism is active as you run)
forcefields can counter super speed, espcecially if invisble and sharp.

            >time stop
Fair, but how stupid can you be to think any of the others will work?
            >phasing (can’t attack)
Even if we assume it’s a version of phasing where you can touch things but they can’t touch you, how will this damage the speedster? You can’t hit what you can’t catch. It’s a stalemate at best because the speedster can just run away and attack when the opponent drops his guard.
            >gravity manip
Again, unless he’s caught off guard (which is extremely unlikely with reflexes that match the increased speed), he can run away and attack when the opponent drops his guard. The opponent can stand there for hours with a gravity field around him, but eventually he’ll get tired. Over the course of 0.005 seconds, run up behind him, toss a rock in the area to make sure he’s not faking, then kill him.
            >vacuum zones
Oh no, the air is forced out of your lungs in this very specific area, what could you possibly do except fricking run out of it and hit the guy causing it.
            >metabolic linked toxins
For the third time now, unless you’re catching him off guard, he can just kill you before you have time to infect him. If you’re spraying something into the air, he can react to that and hold his breath. Stalemate at best because speedy might die afterwards.
            >forcefields
            see gravity
The thing about enhanced reactions and thinking speed is that a speedster can’t catch be caught off guard unless you specifically choose to ignore that part when you’re writing a scene.

Any speedster vs xyz debate will almost always end like this. Speed is overpowered as frick.

It's bending the rules because the future-sight aspect of his power is exactly 10 seconds, but how would he fare?

He would see himself getting helplessly beaten for a minute and 40 seconds within those 10 seconds.

Well, not for the first 10 seconds, due to how his power works. But then I'd have to go down the rabbit hole of how his power operates and I'm assuming you don't care (Togashi basically tried his hand at King Crimson but thought out logically to an autistic extent).

Hold on, 10 times faster than a normal person is really slow by speedster standards. That's running at like 200 mph.

Still more than fast enough to win a fight against a normie, which 5-second man basically is.
