(Nta)The crossover event made the book lose its momentum. In comparison to the fascinating familial dynamics the first few issues provided, the quality dropped. It's also disappointing that Miles is still fostering his friendship with Normie. I'm not saying this because I despise Miles. My issue is that Peter serving as Normie's godfather would have made more sense considering the themes of family dysfunction in the first few volumes. Every step of Normie's existence has been witnessed by Peter, and he has a rich history with each member of the Allan-Osborn family. I'd love to see a non-Wells author try their hand at describing how the current state of affairs affects everyone! I'm sure Miles is fine in and of himself, but he just can't contribute as much as Peter can in this particular instance. This is why I'm let down by his appearance.

I think the murder aspect is the least interesting part when using the essence of a high-functioning narcissistic villain. Being in constant mental contact with a person's essence would eventually erode your individuality of course. Their thoughts are your thoughts. Their emotions are your emotions. Not a good breeding ground for individual thought and imagine the fun of seeing that played for the internal horror aspect of it instead of the quick shot we're seeing. A writer's knowledge about what happens in Spider-Man is irrelevant, the editor is supposed to catch these things and then work with the writer to make it work (or just rewrite it themselves if they're a power tripping butthole). And since Lowe isn't "Well, actually" Wells, then the stories as published stand.

Yes, Mephisto literally fooled Norman into selling Harry as long as his life is ok, and mephisto paid it off by slowly corrupting Norman, having his wife die thus wrecking him and his relationship with his own son, and making Harry go insane, thus triggering the accident that led norman to become the Goblin.
Mephisto planned Norman's downfall and later Peter's deal after he kidnapped Mayday.
Norman was always a nice guy towards peter before he got fricked up by the goblin serum accident caused by Harry, but the early breakpoint will always be him making the deal with mephisto, which started to corrupt him and harry slowly, which was never addressed again after harry's soul was saved from hell after the entire kindred shitshow, mainly now that he is walking around grabbing his lost deals.
If anything have Norman confront Mephisto again over his original deal and have him free from it.
