She's simply too shallow and surface level to have anything of value to care about, especially compared to Superman and Supergirl. Superman is humble, compassionate and strong willed with some doubts and fears of the world about learning more than he should, Supergirl is a strongly relatable and grounded take of a idealistic concept where she has to grow yet adapt to everything she lost in the past while keeping her belief for a better tomorrow in the fashion of her cousin. Peeg is just tit's and trying to be a superman version of She Hulk.

Usually when that’s in a character readers will react negatively saying some shit like “blah blah feminism” or whatever because writers often frick up and thing “strong character traits” in women equate to “be an butthole”. Here, because they had actual decent writers-
She really is some arrogant jackass in a way that’s fun. Her first instinct is to use force and that bites her in the ass but she won’t listen. She has to be forced by Wonder Woman in a wrestling hold to chill the frick out that one time.
We all know why she wears the outfit, we the veneer “she’s a confident woman” used to hand wave it away, but they at least actually gave her (over) confidence in this run. If she dresses like that, the frick is some random catcalling schmoe in the street gonna do to her? She can literally just look at him hard and he’d fricking die, or blow him across the street or into an ice sculpture. If she even had to touch him, she could literally just gouge out his skull with a pinky because she’s a goddamn Kryptonian. She’s “frick you” a lot of the times and does her own shit, for better or worse.
Now, all of the above does not apply to the current run. They wrote a Supergirl script and just gave it to Power Girl, go figure.
Just out of curiosity how much of what you said applies outside of the Conner/Palmotti run? Because whenever people do these threads it kinda sounds like the entire merit to the character is from this one single run and the rest of her franchise history isn't worth getting into or acknowledging.

NTA but Power Girl has been a wienery shit starter since her first appearance.
I’d say she had “being an ass” streak in her from the beginning, I can’t fathom Supergirl having the same tone and attitude back then. As well as taking no shit and, frankly, I’d say this could come off as if not arrogant than at least something that could’ve been handled a little better.
Though in fairness, we don’t usually talk about early Power Girl history for a reason.

I like that despite all that she's gone through, losing her home world and universe multiple times over, she still had a sense of humor. It certainly informed her behavior, but it didn't define her. At least it hadn't up until the Leah Williams run.
I like PG because she's undignified. Most kryptonians have a "divine" aura to them that makes them unapproachable. PG is a kryptonian you can sit next to at a bar.
