Wasn't the deeplore of this scene that literally none of the actors aside from the one on the table knew what was going on which is why you get that pregnant pause as they're like "wait, was that fricking blood?" moment at 0:02?
Serious question, why does the top left look amazing, real, and unique, and the bottom left looks flat, fake, and boring? Why does my brain say "unique, this is a real cinematic world" with the top left but says "this was filmed in a high school gymnasium lol" to the bottom left?
Probably because of a lot of time and effort went into making the original shots look good.
The new shots are just imitating the old ones. Zero creativity.
Because Aliens was filmed using non-digital media. Digital media has shit depth I've found.
This as well. I think a lot of the grit of old movie was genuine as well. Aliens was a hell of a shoot for Cameron with the set crew not cooperating.
>Film instead of digital >More emphasis on lighting and rigging and camera crews doing a good job en scene rather than using post-production as a crutch (they still absolutely fricking did that, but computers advancing meant lazier crews/directors can phone it in more) >Design team of the 1st Alien being extremely lifted artists who were tapped by various projects during the 70s and 80s (thank you based Fosse) >Scott was actually a great director before proceeding to shove his entire head up his ass
>oh god the israelitevie industry is making another reboot of spiderwars i hope this one isn't as bad as spiderwars 5, maybe if we're lucky it'll be as good as spiderwars 19, the spinoff of spiderwars 17 from when sneedy temporarily acquired the IP from boner, oh god i hope it isn't as bad as spiderwars 13 that was a debacle, here's to anothjer century of IP adaptations and reboots *eats shit* *sucks wiener*

I don't really understand you Alien autists. Isn't there like 8 awful Alien movies? Why do you stake everything on the next one being good every time? It's obviously entered the franchise slop category a long time ago. And the world isn't even particularly interesting or anything, it's all just evil gross alien gore and precursor tropes.
Because the first 2 were fantastic movies, so you watch the next ones hoping you can recapture the feeling of watching the first 2. I had such high hopes for Prometheus and Covenant, don't have much hope for this shit though.
We gotta call out the trash.
Alien, Aliens and Alien Isolation are the only ones that matter. I am a fan of Alien 3 but it doesn't really fit well with the other two films.
Why would you think it would be anything but shit? They're either going to retcon alien:fassbender or build off it. You can see they weyland/yutani logo in the trailer.
I'm cautiously willing to give it a chance. Better than being yet another moron on Cinemaphile already shitting on it and saying it's terrible before it even comes out. It's a step in the right direction and guaranteed to be far better than Covenant.

Alien, Blade Runner, and The Thing had such amazing practical effects, miniatures, and set design and CG still has yet to top it
Get ready for nostalgia OVERLOAD!

Also I'll add that Cameron has a great grasp of scene composition and lighting.

Aliens was Cameron, not Scott but good points otherwise.
Yeah. I should add that Cameron was also a good director and fairly good at the execution aspect before he developed a Water Fetish
Frick you for reminding how much digital has destroyed cinema.
My bad anon
Shit has degraded hard huh?

I hate how this fetish exists and I can't unsee it
I think the trailer is out. It looked like there was an interracial couple. If that's the case, I will not see the movie.

>guaranteed to be far better than Covenant
That movie had problems, but I guarantee it's going to end up being the more interesting of the two.
>I'm cautiously willing to slide another man's penis into my butthole
No kidding
>zoomers remaking famous shots from the good movies
it's gonna be shit
