Pic unrelated.
Scott Pilgrim is coomer garbo
How can you even get off to anything in Scott Pilgrim dude it's like the least horny art style imaginable.
How new are you?
That was narrative dissonance to me since her breasts are super mid.
I realized that O'Malley was a hack that had to straight up lie to us about how Scott actually treated people.
off-model
also knives best girl
I never understood why americans loved that shit
If you’ve ever been witness to urban sprawl at the time period of its release its very encompassing of that entire subset of north american culture. sure its technically canadian, but a lot of it filters over to the american hipster scenes as well.
none of you remember when Cinemaphile called everything it didn’t like “hipster bullshit”. then it was “tumblr bullshit”. then “reddit bullshit”. now its all just autistic bullshit.
>Cinemaphile called everything it didn’t like “hipster bullshit”. then it was “tumblr bullshit”. then “reddit bullshit”. now its all just autistic bullshit.
What do you think the next bullshit type is gonna be?
AI bullshit.
ERG bullshit
I loved Ninja Turtles as a kid/teen. It has some good stuff but the majority of the franchise is garbage and should've been put out to pasture years ago.
Same for South Park. I now think 90% of it is mediocre or unwatchable garbage with the remaining 10% being genuinely funny and well written. The movie is terriblem
I've been going through a lot of tmnt lately because I was also a fan growing up, but I'm of the opinion that most adaptations are pretty good with some being great. Other than shit like late seasons eighties show, third live action movie, and that show with Venus it's a good franchise. I do feel the same about south Park though
The 2003 show had good writing but the animation was not as sharp and felt slower to me now. I still prefer a lot of the designs in that show to what came later.
Oh yeah the 03 shows animation isn't holding up super well. My big takeaways are the 2012 series being the best show and the Micheal Bay movies aren't half bad.
When I was an emo teen this meant the world to me but as an adult it's mostly just a couple of good short stories and not much else.
God knows what you're doing here if you're too mature for Sandman.
at least the girls were cute i guess
The episode formula get's really stale even by season 3
Oh yeah, I abandoned almost all cartoons after my teenage years.
>almost all
>Still watches anime
You're not special or an adult.
Nta but I find it funny how hard you and most of Cinemaphile seethe over anime being several magnitudes of quality above western animation for the past thirty years.
By that I meant that past my teenage years, I only watched very little animation into my adulthood. I don't watch any now, and haven't for about 5 years. Not western cartoons, not anime.
some jokes still hold up, wouldn't call it mediocre, but it's a good show.
>but it's a good show
That's why season 1 is still the best. Feels like they're experimenting.
Steven Universe.
Used to love it to death, even drew fanart and made fangems, but I got so disappointed with how it turned out in the later seasons and Future and realized the show had always been kind of haphazardly slapped together. By the end I was only keeping up with it because I had already invested so much time and needed to know how it ended. I can still look back on certain characters/moments fondly though.
The townie episodes fricking ruined it for me.
Wholehearted agreeing you on this statement.
Is there some sort of anyone could make them better by any chance?
grim
Too many early webcomics to remember. El Goonish Shive stands out as the most embarrassing to think about now, so let's just leave it at that.
I bought the first few volumes of Megatokyo physical to support the author, even though it was all available online.
I only ever watched the movie the comic book seemed boring
Justice League, not Unlimited. Most of the episodes are mediocre.
Season 1 wasn't that good but I remember most of Season 2 being great

Wish I was joking.
Why? Run it down for us.
Why I liked it back then? Probably because it was one of the first web comics I found -- as in I found where it was hosted and not some random bits and pieces on funnies websites. For little thirdie that didn't realize that internet isn't limited to the dozen of local websites it was a huge discovery. Not only that, but it was also a first comic that was themed around my favorite thing at the time -- videogames.
Why it's not very good should be obvious.
Is there anything worth reading there? I know it did a lot of crazy arcs and churned out way too many bad jokes, but are any of them actually written well enough that you would share them without cringing? I'd even take low cringe at this point.
I want to give him at least a ghost of a chance because the popular opinion is CAD is bad, but without a guide you'd never be able to think anything else.
I wish I could help you, but I can't. All I remember that Chef strips were so haha wacky random that they threw me off even as a kid; the overarching story (probably peaking with the infamous Loss) about the group relationship with each other was weirdly serious for a webcomic about playing videogames -- and as I understand now, wasn't very good written. It would make a decent soap opera for an old ladies, I think.
>And so the heroes began to fall, one by one, to massive brutal buttrape and sadistic groin injury
>Everyone
>Men
>Women
>Children
>There was no stopping Burori's butt pumping until everyone was eviscerated and their groins disfiguredly injured
>Peridot, Courage, Star Butterfly, Double D, Mordecai, Homer Simpson, Azula, Bugs Bunny, Miko Kubota, Bullwinkle, Jenny, Jorgan von Strangle, Dave the Barbarian, George Bush, and even Scoutmaster Lupus were victims of some of the most intense and shocking acts of high impact genital violence ever seen
>Even Hilda and Lucy Loud suffered extreme and irreversible damage
>But no one suffered as overwhelmingly as Bejita, the man who no longer possesses a torso or intestines or an ass
>It's medieval
>Aaiiee.
I still think it's good and it's one of my favourite cartoons, it's just not as good as I remembered and I grew out of it. I idolised Dan as a young teen and treated the show like it was gospel. I'll always fondly look back on it though.
It has its funny moments, but yeah. I used to like this way more in the past too
