Wrong. Tarantino has made good movies if you set your expectations right. His movies are like comic books. They’re colorful with rapid actions and conversations and very fun to watch.
You dont open up dragon ball and expect war and peace. Same way you dont watch tarantino and expect merchant ivory.

There are no marvel movies that had tension as high as when bruce willis just walking past a couple of houses. There are no marvel movies with action as good as kill bill, and done with no cgi.

Honestly, I hate Twin Peaks more than I like it. As a whole, may be good, like when you see Cooper back, all the emotions after so many years and tribulations, but if you watch some scenes too many "what's Lynch's problem" scenes to really enjoy it. For the rest, absolute kino.

I meant it in a context like 'lost highway' his weird stuff are actually fascinating, same for little things in 'Mulholland drive' (like the diner scene , the cowboy) to name two. In context, in twin peaks he goes too far, too much, the teapot, got a light, dougie, all the garmonbozia, One Punch Lad (etc. etc. etc.)...Too much, just too much. The only time I would have been fine with just a well directed thriller series with weird characters. Boundless imagination, can do anything with a small budget, to me he's one of the few real directors. The more I think about him the more I can't stand hacks like Nolan. Or pseuds like Malick.
I love him but at the same time I think he has never made a great film. He will always be second to Tarantino. Clift to Brando, when there is only Brando.
