Look, not that I'm complaining about the other Cartoon Cartoons getting ignored (because I'm really, really not; I'm very happy Courage and EE&E have evaded the reboot craze thus far), but why are the Powerpuff Girls getting so much attention for remakes and reboots and live action series and shit as of late? Like, why PPG specifically?
PPG was a marketable juggernaut during the early 90s to early 2000s dolls plushes video games make up pop tarts you name it Powerpuff girls probably had a deal with them so it would make sense for cartoon network to reboot it thinking it likes their spiderman or something not thinking the last time they rebooted it it flopped so hard
Yeah, but that built-in audience doesn't overlap with the aim of the live action series.
Oldass fans of the original have either overgrown any need to have more PPGs (normies) or are autistic enough to hate the live action on general principle (manchildren). And children won't get this at all.
This isn't really made for anyone. At least the Mc Cracken redo on paper may appeal to old fans and new (child) audiences alike if they don't botch it up. This, even if for some miracle turns out half decent after the rewrites and reshoots, will fight an uphill battle from each angle.
This show was formulated to piss frickers you off and you all fell for it
Shows made to 'piss people off' aren't profitable. Even Teen Titans Go mainly appeals to current ADHD kids and excels at it, the trolling and baiting is just a sideproduct and we mostly focus on it.
But if your only objective is outraging and you forget to build your own audience up you are getting nowhere.
Thats what Hollywood does these days. Movies, cartoons, TV shows, they're designed from the ground up to infuriate people (particularly fans) to generate more word of mouth. They did it with
Zipper/Gadget, they did it with femGhostbusters, and they're doing it with PPG.
That said,
THIS
if only you dumb chudcels ignored it and only allowed positive feedback. It would have been kino
is wrong by suggesting ignoring this tactic and provide positive feedback would result in these shows/movies being "kino". Far from it, the incompetence at the helm would still create garbage and they would still have the same problems. The only difference is that there would be fewer discussions about the product, and thus there would be fewer viewers. Perhaps in the very, VERY long term ignoring this tactic en masse would result marketers abandoning the tactic, but that is a very big maybe and it would take years of repeated marketing failures for this to go away.
Lol, I seriously don't get why anyone thinks that a cartoon where the characters look like chibi dolls should be turned into a live-action show with 3D hags. No little kid or adult is gonna watch that. This is essentially the same thing as a Hello Kitty series where everything looks like Ugly Sonic. Most Americans still do not understand the idea of kawaii. It's sad.
So they want to add diversity to the characters...and they choose to do this by taking the most angry/aggressive one of the trio and make her black?
This is both unsurprising and amusing

R u dumb? The ~~*suits*~~ in Hollywood can't get enough of girl power and this has a built-in audience

Because it was their biggest show for the longest time with no other show surpassing it until Adventure Time.

How? No one has seen it. All we know is the first pilot was so bad, even The CW scrapped it.
>Whole marketing is built around anger
>They had to redo the whole show because of how much hate it got
>Wasting time and money to make products solely to piss off Cinemaphile
What's the endgame here, exactly?
Did everyone making fun of the dialogue in Netflix's Resident Evil stir peoples' memories that this was a thing?

Live action CW PPG just isn't going to work anon. Just tell the your bosses at Warner and Discovery to give it up already.
Why are The Powerpuff Girls not little girls anymore?
Time to laugh at the leaked script again I guess.

I know, right?
Blossom was a redhead, I mean come on
The CW has not been profitable a single year in its 16 year lifespan
