I've never really gotten that feeling. Rebels was filled with shit from the prequels and became a de facto TCW sequel. Quite a few of the comics incorporated things from the prequels, or were directly tied to them.

Just finished episode 6 last night and agree. The prequels had a lot going on, visually, character development and plot. Every character in the PT is more interesting than every character in the OT, except for the two robots. The OT really does not age well in comparison. Every zoomer i've met who first sees starwars acknowledges that the prequels are more entertaining, and the OT is boring and slow.
Literally the only thing the prequels have against them is some bad dialogue from Hayden Christensen. Everything in every single aspect is better, even the dialogue. The music, the visual effects, the environments, the story, absolutely everything is better. Brainlets complain because they don't understand politics and boomers complain because they can't be nostalgic for it like they can their precious OT that daddy showed them.
