Hey look, here's a Simpsons episode from 2004 mocking "Jim Jam Bonks" and how boring the prequels are: https://simpsons.fandom.com/wiki/Co-Dependent%27s_Day
Hey look, Roger Ebert gave AOTC 2/4 stars back when it came out: https://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/star-wars-episode-ii-attack-of-the-clones-2002
RLM didn't make everyone hate the prequels you fricking cum-guzzling revisionist Zoomer morons. They were hated when they came out.
>The media hates it so I too must hate it
Why does the media defend Nu Wars?
Nu Wars sucks, the prequels suck. The correct order to watch Star Wars is 4, 5, and 6.
>Republic doesn't question that its new clone army was made from a dude who was hired by their enemies to murder Padme
>I HATE SAND
>Christopher Lee totally wasted
>godawful romance between Anakin and Padme
>Jar Jar Binks
>Anakin just happened to build C-3PO
>Grievous is a coughing wuss
>"I HAVE THE HIGH GROUND" even though the High Ground didn't help Darth Maul
>Obi-Wan leaves Luke with Anakin's relatives that he knows about; would take Vader like 20 minutes of research to find Luke
>Padme loses her will to live even though she has twins on the way; somehow wills herself to death in like five seconds
>FROM MY POINT OF VIEW THE JEDI ARE EVIL
Prequelbros....our favorite movies fricking SUCK....
>literally references audience reviews
Learn to read moron
Nobody cares about RLM and the prequels are awesome
You zoomzooms need to get it in your heads. Just because the Prequeks is better than the Sequacks, doesn't necessarily mean the former is good. They're both shit. Only that one is bloody diarrhea and the other is finding tapeworms in your shitpile.
You need to get a better piurpose in life than telling people to dislike movies from 20 years ago
facts.
No one cares
>at first i thought it was a genuine critique of the movies
>then i realized it was just gen-xer starwars versus treckie brand war homosexualry
The prequels are good, get over it.
People trashing on the prequels are now stuck playing defense? That zoomers like these terrible movies is a brutal blackpill.
morons on Cinemaphile have convinced themselves that RLM brainwashed everyone into hating the prequels and that there's some massive conspiracy to pretend they suck or some impossible shit like that.
It's not just Cinemaphile. I heard this from some normie coworker a couple years back. The rot is deep.
Phantom Menace is so kino.
is there a better filter than the prequels?
If you're trying to filter out people who like decent acting and interesting characters, no.
the media =/= popular opinion
2005 was 19 years ago.
2001 was 23 years ago.
2004 was 20 years ago.
Sure, maybe they were hated when they came out. But that was two decades ago. Prequelheads rule, oldheads drool. Make sure to check the battery on your mobility scooter on the way out, Grandpa.
>OH YES GEORGE-SAMA, PLEASE SHIT IN MY MOUTH SOME MORE *SLURP SLURP CHOMP*
OTheads do this too bro...
OTgays will generally admit that ROTJ is the least of the 3, or that there are some dumb elements like the Death Star exhaust port.
i has the biggest Star Wars fan in the world when Phantom Menace came out. I remember realizing that it wasn't Star Wars at all when I saw it in the theater. I felt like an idiot to admit I loved Star Wars after that. I closed myself off from Star Wars after that.
Yea Gen X shit their pants because the movies weren't the same as the ones they saw as kids. Millennials mostly liked them.
This zoomer thinks he knows what gen y liked.
>what gen y liked.
you idiots say it yourselves, all the argument break down to, is "it's not the OT" duh, moron
Oh sure, nobody mentioned Hayden Christiansen and Natalie Portman's horrid acting or moronic love story. It was all people being mad that it wasn't the OT.
>it's not the OT
Is a perfectly reasonable argument since aside from the Ewoks they’re absolute masterpieces. George fricked up the prequels by not having anyone around to reel in his autism, and the sequels are pure slop. That’s the official position of 90% of people in America, especially those over the age of 17.
Many such cases
>they’re absolute masterpieces
they're not though
The prequels tell a pretty good story and for the time had decent sfx. The problem they have is that nobody distracted George enough while the writers were working on dialog. Fix that and 90% of the complaints would be gone overnight
>still reeeeeing about Ewoks
Fricking hell.
children liked them because they are children
yes and millennials were children when these released
Imagine caring this much about Attack Of The Clones lmao
Thats because we didn't know how good we had it
I'm not reading that
The prequels are about men, you want your feminist/queer girl power shit instead then Disneed has a lot of sloppa for you.
darth vader is a gay black lesbian
Holy shit you sound mad
>Prequelshitters claim that everyone loved the prequels and that RLM brainwashed modern audiences into hating them
>get BTFO
>now claim that modern audiences always loved them
Frick off with your revisionist bullshit, Mike. You are drunk loser whose greatest accomplishment was driving Lucas into selling SW to Disney out of spite. Well done, moron!
Ten years from now, the Prequels will still be remembered fondly and you'll still be mad
Twenty years from now, the Prequels will still be remembered fondly and you'll still be mad
Thirty years from now, the Prequels will still be remembered fondly and you'll still be mad
Fourty years from now, the Prequels will still be remembered fondly and you'll still be mad
I'm so sorry anon, hope you find whatever it is you're looking for
By who? I've never seen anyone outside Cinemaphile shill for them or claim they're any good.
Where have you been? You've never seen the videos, the conventions, the posts in quite literally every other site?
The prequel era created the peak of LucasArts' media at the time, it was a reinassaince with games, comics and shows. Not even as they were airing did people care about the sequel era, they've practically already been forgotten. Remember how TCW started airing three years after Episode 3? Remember how we still don't have that eponymous Rey movie? The ST has had zero cultural relebance already, and it will only get worse from here. What grown up kids will love the sequels in a decade? The ones that didn't buy the Rose Tico or Finn figurines?
>Where have you been? You've never seen the videos, the conventions, the posts in quite literally every other site?
Do you mean the prequels, or the prequel era? I've seen people be fans of Genndywars or TCW, but not really the prequels themselves.
I hope you look forward to seeing the same thing about the sequels
It’s already been 10 years since TFA. If any kind of appreciation was going to happen you’d already be seeing it
People like the prequals because it reminds them of the early 2000s. Nobody wants to remember the late 2010s
>Nobody wants to remember the late 2010s
they will in a decade when everything is worse
they have zero staying power. If you're a kid that just liked action schlock, you had way better choices than the sequel trilogy, like Marvel or even the monster movies. Everything to be liked about the sequel trilogy, The OT did better. that's the problem with a soft reboot that doesn't outdo it's predecessor. say what you will about the dialog of the PT, but it had interesting world building, and set up for other stories to take place in the world it created. the world building of the sequels was not Tatooine, and not Hoth. Even Disney knows this, it's why all the spinoffs are before the prequels, or between the end of prequels and before the OT. there's no where to go after ROS
As an OTgay I'll agree with this. The Prequels are more imaginative and interesting than the Sequels, even if I don't care for either.
You have to understand that prequelgays have watched these movies dozens, if not hundreds of times. Some dude made an incredibly long pdf just to refute the plinkett reviews, for example. Not to mention the video essays longer than the movie itself. It's either sunk cost fallacy or they convinced themselves that they're complex masterpieces.
Rotten tomatoes is compromised
I enjoy the prequels. i don't care what some overweight alcoholic redditors think
>witches in star wars don't use the force!! They use green magic!!!!!
there's no witches in Star Wars you dumb homosexual!!!!
this guy is cringy as frick and a filoni shill but i support him solely because of how much he pisses off sequelgays
Imagine not being able to formulate your own opinions and needing reviewers, cartoons and comedians to tell you what to like and dislike.
> Reviews counted: 83
Might as well been raided.
Why do you focus on stupid people, stupid avenues exclusively? What can you argue against the merits of the prequels in terms of cinematography and as stories?
>all characters are 2D and uninteresting
>Republic doesn't question that its new clone army was made from the DNA of a dude who was hired by their enemies to murder Padme
>moronic dialogue like I HATE SAND and FROM MY POINT OF VIEW THE JEDI ARE EVIL
>Christopher Lee totally wasted
>godawful romance between Anakin and Padme, with horrid performances from both actors
Yep. I remember when the Talkbackers turned on Knowles when he posted his "meesa luved it!!!!" review.
>RLM didn't make everyone hate the prequels
I don't see the issue with this. If people are persuaded by an essay, that means it's just a good essay with solid arguments.
You're absolutely correct, but Cinemaphile is convinced that everyone who hates the prequels was convinced to by RLM, as moronic as that is.
I saw The Phantom Menace in theaters with my grandpa and brother and it was so boring it actually made me stop liking Star Wars
RLM defense thread by moronic fanboys.
>let's defend a billionaire's moronic braindead choices!
Flak over target. RLMgays BTFO yet again.
Yes yes prequelgay, it's all a massive conspiracy against these 3 movies in particular.
More of a "Cinemaphile defense thread by people who want butthurt Prequelgays to STFU with their moronic conspiracy theories."
if you want the to shut up quit channeling them with these dumb thread, moron
All you need to stop watching Space and Laser slop. You're not 15 anymore.
Watch some actual kinos:
Cтaлкep (1979)
Ut Supra Ut Infra (2014)
מלך המלכים (1927)
重慶森林 (1994)
Can confirm, star wars was considered gay amongst the majority of millennials. Gen x was the majority of the audience when I saw it in theaters. After ep. 1 the audience shrank considerably.
>t. Former Star Wars fanboy
The fact is that Star Wars is the prequels. The old fanbase is pretty much dead. Today it's mostly prequelgays who care about this shitty franchise.
read the reviews lol. the vast majority of negative ones are malding boomers.
>Lucas employs these effects to create a total fantasy universe
yeah, that's generally what effects are used for, dumbass
