Because I removed the background in Krita because I hated the background. I previously used a pirated version of Photoshop but I built a new PC earlier this year and the edition I had gotten to work was from 2012, so I figured it was better to use an actual free of charge alternative. I did try using GIMP first but the interface is a complete pain in the ass compared to Photoshop, so I went for Krita instead. For what I do, Krita is typically fine and I find the interface fairly easy to use. It is just unfortunate neither Krita nor GIMP is as good as Photoshop, they are about the same as the 2012 edition (maybe slightly worse) but I've tried more recent editions of Photoshop and they are clearly far superior. I would pirate Photoshop again but you know... It's kind of a pain trying to install such a thing, it's why I stuck to the 2012 edition for so long.
Racists don't understand this, but it's not the color, it's how it's drawn >Oversized donut shaped >Bright colors that isn't thanks to lipstick >Actively expressed in negative or just ill informed conditions.
You know, like how racists want it to be like. There's nothing racists in these pics, complared to actyual intentional imagry. >When then they they changed it?
To keep it on model to the show? The proto art looks like it's done by another artist and isn't designed for animation likely. Remember foreigners have to animate these shows, it has to be within reason for mass production. Funnily, Proto Korra kinda looks like she was drawn by the same people behind Gravitry Rush.
you're wrong
I like the name "Kya" better than "Katara"
they removed her ethnic features for a reason
Racism?
Eh, she is kind of cute. Her bigger ears are nice. Do we have any other looks at the rest of the cast like this?
So the more prominent nose wasn't just a Katara thing. Interesting.
This is a lot less anime than the final designs
>cuter than final Katara
>that nose
>anime reaction image
>no taste
>anime
very specific name for that picture

I wish this dude would do more like this for the other girls.
Is this real? She actually looks a lot more cuter drawn like this.
Yes, it's real. Why wouldn't it be?
I agree I like this style more looks harder to animate though
no she's darker
Proto-Korra is way cuter than final Korra.
>pink lips
Problematic

I hate typing on this shit device, so many dumb typos...
aight that looks good
Is it likely it was just changed for easier animation process?
Nah it was changed because nips hate noses
Probably, that's pretty much the rule for original concept art
