Holy guck I just noticed the thing that BH uses to teleport them is their own shadows. You can see they have no shadows then get them back when the magic is dispelled. That's a really neat little detail.

I just explained it to you. BH tolerating her numerous advances, actively teasing her sexually, and encouraging her is the closest thing you'll get to love from him. He doesn't do it with anyone else. And that's what makes the pairing favorable. She entirely loyal to him and he is willing to let her behave the way she does and not kill her for it. That's not exactly easy to do. They're shipped together because of how compatible they are with one another. And because of their cannon interactions. Dem touches him all the time. It doesn't need to be love in the truest sense of it. Deranged obsessive love is still a form of love.
In the unlikely scenario where Dem even if it was just a one off episode where her affections shifted somewhere else, like idk hits her head and she's obsessed with someone else for the Ep. I can see BH becoming possessive real quick. Not in the traditional way. More in the sense of perceiving someone messing that he considers his property.
Evil being with woman who is completely in love with him and can keep up with his level of cruelty. It was stated that when Dementia is sad or demotivated BH does evil things specifically to cheer her up/encourage her. Dementia brings him things and has killed other women who get near him. He has no issue with it either. He may never love her. But he tolerates her and that’s the closest you’ll get to love out of him. Which in itself is a grand gesture from a being of nothing but evil.
