Filmmakers and rock stars seem to turn into pretentious douchebags, yes. They become products of their environment. Some actors, on the other hand, just keep getting better and better -- pic related.
>Temple is better
Is saving a horde of non-white children really that much better?
Should've let them die in the slave pits, culling of pajeet population is sorely needed anyway
>But the same sequence of events would have played out regardless of if Indy got involved or not
And? The film doesn't imply the opposite. Indy got involved in this event.
Marion would be dead though and the Ark might still be in the hands of the Nazis since there is not any indication the Allies knew of the island. Also part of the story in Raiders is Jones learning there is some knowledge outside of his reach and to get over his obsession, although that character development would kind of be thrown out with the sequels.

Except for Crusade, where he learns the same lesson again. But that film is just a copy of Raiders anyhow.
The only movie that isn't like that is Temple. All the others are about the villain meddling in things mortals shouldn't have and getting burned for it.
Not really. He takes the stones from their proper place but if Indy hadn't stolen them back he presumably would've kept the slave operation going and the Kali cult would grow stronger over time.
I would say Raiders and Temple are the best of Indiana Jones, Crusade is just a step behind.
Crystal not so much kind of silly with the aliens shit and Indy is too old. Dial is an abomination. however after seeing it the aliens shit isn't so bad.
Crusade is just a carbon copy of Raiders as a knee-jerk reaction to Temple being too different criticism. I wish we had more Temples, there was absolutely no reason to "finish" this anthological series.
Yes.
raiders of the kino
Hard to believe Spielbergo used to make movies like this.
Do all great filmmakers lose it with age? Hell, do all artists in general?
Not all.

Needs more wise cracking Fleabag
Too israelitey for my tastes but technically competent.
>this is a brain on /nupol/
make sure to avoid this fate, anons.
>muh heckin' Nazirinos
Temple is better
>noo, I can't enjoy something because nupol has rotted my brain
oof

Indeed
The best of the best
The three Indiana Jones movies are great.
Crusade is just good.
Great movie, yes
But the same sequence of events would have played out regardless of if Indy got involved or not
The nazis still would have found and been killed by the Ark
Party pooper.
Honestly think about it though, how funny would it be to watch a movie just about these nazis
Like we follow them for an hour a la Rogue One and then they all just freaking die at the end and the credits roll

Temple is also about that

We just didn't get to the point where he would have gotten his comeuppances.

I saw Crystal Skull recently and it's bad. Juts because it doesn't have woke shit in it doesn't make it any good.
Crystal is the second best movie behind temple of doom.
Anyone seen the black and white Soderbergh edit of this? What a kino film
No but the the SW prequels looks very good in BW as well. Pulps should be in BW whenever possible.
