Rarbg dying and then coming back had the unintended consequence of decentralizing everything with other site coming to promincnce in its abscense. This means if one of the sites die then it won't be a complete shitstorm like it was when rarbg died.

Why though, its not hard torrenting a movie and watching it, does it really need automation?

          Anonymous

Have TV series that you follow? This setup will automatically download the torrent, then copy the file to your desired media folder. Then it is waiting for you the next time you start Plex/Jellyfin/etc.

why do I have 15 different copies of the CAMRIP quality of a tv show that isn't even the right fucking show?

I dont watch any new tv series, all media i consume is old shit. Also i really dont understand whats so difficult that it requires automation? Like what, you torrented something once, wanted to watch it on the tv and got triggered you had to transfer the movie to a flashdrive and plug it into the tvs usb port? Whats the big fucking deal.

            >Search through a bunch of trackers, using proxies/VPNs to bypass ISP blocking etc just to find that one movie

            OR

            >Add a movie to Radarr and it'll search thousands of trackers via prowlarr, download the movie using qBitTirrent, move it to the desired directory when it's complete, and use the preferred naming convention ”title (release year)”. Jellyfish/Plex then allows you to stream to your TV/Console/Phone

Never had to use a vpn in my life to bypass anything, guess i dont live in a shit country that blocks everything, only americans care that much about copyright laws. Also, is that really it? It takes me literally 5 seconds finding any movie i need on torrent sites i already know and like. And moving it to desired directory? This is a task so herculean that you need an automated program? And is right clicking and renaming the fucking folder/file such a odyssean journey?

Holy shit you guys are the laziest motherfuckers

              Anonymous

              You are a dumb motherfucker.

Europe now blocks certain piracy sites. These sites also have a short lifespan and you're constantly forced to look for alternatives when they eventually die. Just as when RARBG went down and everyone panicked.
With this setup, you have thousands of trackers available and are constantly updated. You never have to search for a movie that is obsecure, the app will search for you.

It's not just movies but series as well. The moment you turn on Jellyfish/Plex, you'll find the latest episode is already installed and ready to go.

Best of all, you can load up Radarr and Sonarr with movies and series that haven't even been released yet and it'll download them in the desired format/resolution when they become available.

You can also create a "watch later" list on TMDB and have Radarr pull it down. That way, you can add a movie to your list while at work and it'll be downloaded and ready to watch when you get home.

Really, this setup is more so tailored around power users who bulk download. Or simply someone who wants a home cinema experience.

What's with people missing rarbg's releases so much?
I remember looking at the mediainfo back in the day and it was something akin to putting your encoder to the medium preset. It was me:hex, subme=7, merange=16, 3 bframes and maybe 40 lookahead.

Don't need it tbh, I have a rarbg mirror I use sometimes, but mainly I use tpb.party, yts.torrentbay, empornium -which appears to be down at the moment- en.metal-tracker and nyaa.si.

Sometimes I stumble onto something so rare it's not on any of the torrent sites, in which case... I just see if it's been uploaded by anyone to youtube, and 99% of the time it has. Then I just google "youtube downloader 4k" and grab it in the highest quality available.

My plex is stuffed with some of the most insanely obscure, hard to find stuff.

        480p is perfectly acceptable.

It was acceptable in 2009 when I was waiting 15 minutes to download a 8min 480p lesbian scene on my PSP
          Not anymore

I'm white, out in the sticks, with satellite internet. 480p is absolutely watchable.

    >notice new section on Torrentgalaxy
    >1080p x265 section
    >they are now encoding movies at 2GB-4GB size to improve over RARBG's smaller x265 encodes and competes with QxR's 5-8GB encodes!
We x265 chads just keep winning!

I would hate to be an x264 poorfag.
